Obama’s Jewish support in the US is dropping a little but is still “solid” (as has been said here before, liberals are liberals first and everything else second), so this probably wouldn’t have made a dent in that support, but still… DOH!

Israel was included erroneously on a U.S. Department of Homeland Security terrorist watch list, a U.S. official said.

John Morton, the director of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement division of the department, said Israel’s recent appearance on a list compiled by the department’s office of the inspector general was a mistake.

“The addition of Israel in the OIG’s list of ICE’s ‘Third-Agency Checks’ (TAC) was based on inaccurate information provided to the OIG during the course of its audit,” Morton said in a statement sent by e-mail to JTA. “The U.S. does not and never has considered Israel to have links to terrorism, but rather they are a partner in our efforts to combat global terrorism.

Yid With Lid doesn’t think it was a “mistake” at all, but rather another example of a bunch of rookies in way over their heads who act on impulse:

Forgive me for being a bit on the suspicious side but mistake my arse. The Obama administration which already has a reputation of being anti-Israel got its fingers caught in the cookie jar and is now trying to cover it up with a “oops I made a mistake.” Why do you think they made the “oops” announcement to JTA, a liberal Jewish website.

This entire incident is another example of the naiveté of this administration, they act first and if they can’t cover things up, they make excuses later.

Maybe the DHS is suspicious that terrorists could slip through Israel because that country doesn’t profile little kids and old ladies like the superior system that the TSA has designed here in the states under the skillful tutelage of the Department of Homeland Security.

No surprise to me that Israel wound up on the terrorist watch list or that the OIG, ICE and DHS would say "OOPS, we made a mistake….it was an accident !" Horse manure !

Didn`t Zero announce just days ago that Israel is a sponsor of terror ? Or did I dream that ?

"….they act first and if they can`t cover things up, they make excuses later." EXACTLY right ! Fits with, "It`s easier to apologize after the fact than to get permission first – risking a 'no' !"

No way it is an accident. Are they trying to sell us the idea that with all the people involved in the process both decision making and review, that none of them went "Uh, isn't Israel an ally?"

No this was an Obama slap. The Left is constantly trying to push their agenda and got caught this time. You wait, before you and I pass from this mortal coil, we'll be seeing them successfully pulling off "1984' type doublespeak.

    Welcome to the USSR

"The reaction to the report was immediate and wide-spread. After a *WEEK* of feeling the pressure, the DHS announced today that it was all a bad mistake."

Correct archer. We've long been aware there are no coincidences in Obamaland. Sadly, it should be noted that the Philippines -remains- on the list! I hope the clusters of Filipino voters in NJ, GA, IL and Cali wake the hell up.

From Ramos on, their Presidents have dealt harshly and swiftly w/ the MNLF, Abu Sayaf etc. They've repeatedly said "there is no 'ideology' here.., they're just gangs of THUGS demanding ransoms".

Like the Jews, they've been on the front lines, dealing w/ this a lot longer than 'we' have. Being the VICTIM of terrorism shouldn't place you on the list! It's hardly state sanctioned.

"Being the VICTIM of ……..It`s hardly state sanctioned." Nope, the US is the primary sponsor of "victimhood" !

Example number 1.4 trillion… and counting.

    But….but…..but…..but……. the "system" worked.

As voting blocks, I just see so many parallels between the Jews and the Filipinos. Kind-hearted to the point of a fault, unassuming, hard working, loyal. And -totally- taken for granted!

The same mental lapse that allows Jews to support their own extinction paves the way for Filipinos that would -never- consider any kind of handout program for 'themselves' ( they're very proud! ) to vote in FAVOR of it for other people!

Eric Clapton once sang "It's all WRONG… ( but it's 'alright'? )" It has to be the same mentality that permits a man to stay w/ a woman he KNOWS is cheating on him BUT.., he actually feels sorry for her and all her imperfections. HOPING she can someday become a better person? I've no other way to 'explain' it?

  8. Obama bin Biden on July 7th, 2011 2:53 pm

If Obama sold nuclear weapons and pizza ovens to Iran, the American jews would still love him. Liberalism is a Mental Disorder.

  9. SignPainterGuy on July 7th, 2011 3:22 pm

Indeed ! For 70+% of American Jews anyway !

"Liberalism is a Mental Disorder" with far reaching ill-effects !

  10. SignPainterGuy on July 7th, 2011 3:23 pm

I submit, these fake mistakes and false apologies are not "bugs", but rather they are "features" !

This is akin to the 7th grader mentality of putting a sign on someone's back that says – Kick Me – I'm Stupid – and see how long it takes before he notices the sign on his back. And 99.9% of this administration is from academia so they are supposed to be smart – but with "mistakes" like this it just shows how common sense stupid they are. Does not say much for our education system.

And SPG – had a great time up north last weekend! Lots of warm sunshine, lots of boat time, lots of company, lots of cold beverages, a bonfire every night and the stars at night were outstanding!!! Also saw a very cool sunset on Sunday night, followed by a waning moon setting – it was very, very cool!!!

  12. SignPainterGuy on July 7th, 2011 6:43 pm

"….from academia….", yeah, it`s as if intelligence is cultivated over common sense because cs is some kind of disorder to be avoided at all costs – or they`re children, who not only refuse to grow up, they have no concept of any need to.

Your time away from it all sounds great, I miss my visits to MN, WI, MI and SD (Black Hills). What`s amazing to me is how late the sun sets and how early it rises. In Grand Rapids, I never saw it dark. And again, I miss the fresh cold-water fish…..mmmmmmmmm. !

  13. Granny55 on July 7th, 2011 6:54 pm

Well not to make you hungry – but we did have a fish fry on Saturday. Pan fried perch (caught that morning), walleye and bass. It was outstanding!!!

  14. Granny55 on July 7th, 2011 6:55 pm

There is a place you can order fresh water fish from. When I find their website again I will send it along.

  15. SignPainterGuy on July 7th, 2011 7:03 pm

FAIL !! You made me hungry ! 😉
