It’s so unlike Bill O’Reilly to offer to throw himself into the middle of the spotlight, but he has done just that:

Bill O’Reilly, the Fox News host who White House press secretary Jay Carney has singled out as a conservative voice of reason, offered Thursday to go to D.C. and referee the debt talks.

“So now I am offering to broker the debt compromise. I’ll go down there. I’m ready to answer the call. Because I’m looking out for you. Not some crazed ideology or political party,” O’Reilly said.

It’d make for interesting negotiations…

O’Reilly: Welcome to the Debt Ceiling Negotiation Factor… when it’s your turn to speak, remember, name and town, name and town, name and town if you wish to opine…

Cantor: Eric Cantor from Virginia. I just want to encourage the president to go with the short-term deal that would…

Obama: Don’t call my bluff, Eric!

O’Reilly: Fellas, today’s word is ‘bloviating’ — no ‘bloviating’… look it up.

Boehner: Look, the McConnell plan is still on the table, and I suggest that we re-examine th…

O’Reilly: Don’t forget, you can get your Factor gear at FoxNews-dot-com, slash O’Reilly. We’ve got some great new stuff in there too… and if you order more than $30 worth of mugs, shirts and tote bags, shipping is free.

Biden: Come on, man, let’s get real here. There must be tax increases in this package to get us on the road to recovery…

O’Reilly: Speaking of on the road, I’ll be performing Saturday night with Dennis Miller at the Westchester Theater starting promptly at 8 p.m. Get your tickets now at Bill O’Reilly-dot-com. Okay, time now for ‘Pinheads and Patriots’…

One thing’s for sure — O’Reilly would bring some much needed even-temperedness to the negotiations….

Doug, I like your version a whole lot better than the real Bill O`Really Show. You`ve got him down.

If anyone still thinks Blo`Really is a conservative, consider that Poppin` Jay Carney thinks he`s "the Voice of Reason"…….

(note to O`Really`s teleprompter writers) Bill can`t adlib as well as the Teleprompter pResident ! Ooooh !

Yeah, a popinjay (look it up) like O'Reilly is exactly what the negotiations need.

O'Reilly: Mr. Cantor, I'll give you the last word.
Cantor: Americans are hurting enough, and we need to reign in the spending so…
O'Reilly: Hold on, let me stop you there, because if you really want to reduce spending and be fiscally responsible, you need to check out the new sale items on Bill O'Reilly dot com.

    Doug, Jeremy,

LOL! Yeah and when talks implode Bill can run it in his "Unresolved Issues" time slot! Great breakdown. IMHO Fox made a real mistake in not growing Michelle Malkin's role in the Factor. BIG mistake.

Alternating shows between MM and Laura would have been just FINE w/ me while Bill goes on the road to hawk chotchkey.

    I can't stand Oh Really.

I don't know why… it's something about when he refers to himself as talking points…in the third person…er…?

Also, he does stories on half-naked women or teen girls every chance he gets and it makes him look like perv not a conservative. I know he's not a conservative but he trys to play to that audience most of the time.

I'll admit that I do like it when Dennis Miller is on, though.

Beck thinks Oh Really is the swellest guy since Brigham Young.

Oh well, that video doug put up is funny. I'd never seen it. Good stuff.

Love Dennis. OK Loyalist had a great audio clip of he and Michelle on a phone interview and they really had a great time. How could you hang out w/ Dennis and 'not' have fun?

As for Bill's meltdown, what's the big deal? I do that every day! No, seriously.

I wasn`t born here either, but I got here as quick as I could ! ;-)

Glenn has been clear that it`s been on personal and business levels that Bill has been such a good friend. It`s the philosophical level where they greatly disagree. I can understand that; I have some lib, non-Christian friends !

Blo`Really has always bugged me, but his insistence that Oblunder has the country`s best interests in mind / has benign intent, that killed it for me !

Isn't that what people say about the South? Of course, I was fortunate enough to be born in the South.

  12. SignPainterGuy on July 15th, 2011 11:15 pm

Isn`t it: "American by birth, Southern by the grace of God !" ?

I originally heard "I got here as quick / fast as I could !" about Texas .

I`ve visited nearly all the eastern US, 35 states, but lived nowhere other than WNC.
