The dude has no idea what this looks like, and you can tell Sarah knows it (by way of I Own the World):

Here’s a caption of what Sarah was probably thinking:

This was at the New Hampshire clam bake. When she arrived, she got out of the SUV, saw him with this sign, walked right up to him and said, "Hi, I'm Sarah Palin." This picture is taken just as she's offering a handshake. He shook it, and that was the end of that little protest. Gotta love this woman.

One of the posters at I Own The World said it best:

Sarah Palin is thick-skinned ( this guy is just thick )

But it poses an interesting question? Going into 2012, could we, 'should' we attend Dem/Prog rallies and heckle? Bring unapproving ( but classy! ) signs? Thus far Conserv's have steered clear.

  6. blueiris on July 15th, 2011 4:58 pm

GREAT! That was even more ha ha ha's!
Ha ha! sorry Don but this is just too funny…

  7. Doug on July 15th, 2011 5:05 pm

Thanks for the back story… I was trying to figure out where that was taken!

  8. Don B on July 15th, 2011 5:22 pm

No problem. This isn't an isolated incident – she does this all the time. Spots a protester, walks right up to them and engages them with a smile..

  9. Marshall_Will on July 15th, 2011 6:27 pm

    Don B,

I just wanted to throw that out there. As Conservatives, it's our nature to take the high road. And I'm grateful that we've finally made the distinction between dignified ( and disengaged? )

My gut feeling is with the broader collapse of the Prog-movement it will drive an escalation among the Unhinged Masses in Prog-holds like Austin, Portland, SF/SEA etc.

All for naught of course, but an escalation all the same.

Good show, Don B. I dearly love Sarah. So many good attributes; "thick skin" and "class" rank high on my list !

    Cain / Palin 2012 ! Unbeatable !

  11. Marshall_Will on July 15th, 2011 7:46 pm

    SPG,

And she doesn't need to lean on, turn to, whine at legions of handlers and PAID Yes men to know how to deal w/ a simple, simple-MINDED heckler.

  12. swede on July 15th, 2011 7:51 pm

Affirmative SPG. The look on Palin's face in the pic says it all. She returns all the hatred, anger and angst with grace and style. Making the whole lamestream media crew follow her tour bus like puppies was awesome and highly entertaining. A Palin VP spot is very enticing. Still not sold on Cain, but it's early.

AND no teleprompter ! Heh HEEEE !

Obumbler broke the ice and became America`s first black(ish) pResident. Okay, but nearly everything else about him is anathema to the American experiment.

Herman Cain corrects most all that; he`s a Christian, conservative, confirmable as a natural-born citizen, not a politician, not a DC insider, has a successful business management history, but no history of lying, loves America and her founding principals, supports Israel, supports our military and it`s mission, with us on national security both here and abroad, possesses common sense, never agitated a community ;-), etc., etc. and can be easily bolstered in his foreign policy shortcomings. In my mind, the perfect anti-Obama candidate. We can get it right with the second black President.

    That`s where I am.

  15. Marshall_Will on July 16th, 2011 2:59 am

    "confirmable"

Like what.., that's 'important' or something..?

IMHO, future slamidates need only bash the previous pResident.., ( whatever his/her/its positions and or credibility and track record ) offer up Hope & Slang, pander to a Guitar Hero (musically illiterate crowd ) bust a few moves w/ FL (.)TUS on the dance floor and let the AUCTION commence!

Ice cream for the kids! God I miss the Drive-In!…?

That beautiful smile on Sarah's face tells you all you need to know about how she feels about this ignorant, liberal boob…

According to some polls, any ol` off-the-shelf generic republican could beat Oblah Blah by 8%(ish) if the election were held today. I find that immensely encouraging.

He may or may not be the `12 candidate – who knows, reports and opinions run the full gambit. His nat`l campaigning has run non-stop since `06 (at least) with donations coming in from the world over. Illegal – illschmegal…..pppppffffffft.

Let`s scream NOOOOO to the RNC`s rinos, offer up a great pair of real conservatives and bust the election wide open !! Give the dems a drubbin` the likes of which they ain`t never seen and have leadership we can be proud of. And forget moving to the middle to attract a handful of indy moderates. Build a platform that`ll burn so bright it`ll bring `em over all the way from the left !

    Yeah, I miss drive-ins too…….movies and eateries !
