From Face the Nation this morning:

On Sunday, Senate Majority Whip Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) said he had six words of warning for House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio): “If you break it, you own it.”

Democrat math at its finest.

I figured it was possible that The Hill paraphrased wrong, so I found the CBS transcript, and sure enough

AND I MIGHT SAY TO SPEAKER BOEHNER, HE SHOULD REMEMBER SIX WORDS: IF YOU BREAK IT, YOU OWN IT.

That would be the opening story on the evening news tonight if Michele Bachmann said it.

Durbin joins the ranks of my other favorite numerically-challenged politician, Joe Biden:

Oh, how I do love a good math lessen on a hot afternoon ! First, the "Turbin", and then Mr Gaffetastic himself.

My Drafting and Design instructor used to ask for volunteers by tapping his left hand with three fingers and say, "I want two of you ….". In spite of his best efforts, I graduated "Top Industrial Arts Student – male persuasion" !

Where`s Schmucky Schpewmer declaring, "Only the chattering class is worried about trust !" ?
