Number of Americans on Food Stamps Continues Meteoric Rise

There is no end in sight to the glory of Hope & Change:

NEW YORK (CNNMoney) — Nearly 15% of the U.S. population relied on food stamps in May, according to the United States Department of Agriculture.

The number of Americans using the government’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) — more commonly referred to as food stamps — shot to an all-time high of 45.8 million in May, the USDA reported. That’s up 12% from a year ago, and 34% higher than two years ago.

This might come as good news to the White House, because a dependency class tends to follow those who are tossing them scraps, but Obama’s approval rating is at an all time low among the poor. No worries for Obama though — they were easily misled with false promises and empty “change” rhetoric, and most will fall for it again. This time though the poor won’t be promised the moon to get them to the polls, but rather scared to death with “Republicans will take away your food stamps!”
