In reference to GOP candidate RIck Perry’s wife speaking out on her husband’s behalf, ABC political analyst Matthew Dowd said this today on Good Morning America:

“…Any time you have a wife go out on the trail, you know that you- basically, the campaign’s in trouble.”

Like clockwork, the next thing I ran across was this CBS News story that helped validate his claim:

Damn, that Dowd guy’s good!

The First Lady kicked off campaign season at Target today — there’s a pic here. Bonus points if you can guess what’s in her bags (degree of difficulty: No “teleprompter repair kit” or “arugula”).

Fascinating; someone either here or at MM`s place wondered a couple days ago how long before Mooch began campaigning for hubby. NOT LONG !

I have to say I`m a little surprised. Back in the summer it was mentioned that she really didn`t want BO to run again and it was looking like the first couple were experiencing some marital un-bliss. I still say, if BO is dragging the party down too much and it looks too certain that they will lose in `12, they`ll drop him, regardless of the racial ramifications !

As for what`s in the bags, I`m goin` with personal hygiene products ! Maybe some CFLs . Can`t see the bags well enough to see any diapers for the cry baby !

Since the bags aren't empty, it can't be hope & change.

A shorter leash for the POTUS.

Good thing he's a political anal-yst and not a rocket surgeon.

Dowd is not a political anal-yst – he just plays one on tv.

I meant to write "political anal-cyst".

"It's unclear how the photo came about; her office said the photographer, Charles Dharapak, 'caught her' at the store."

I'll bet he "just so happened" to spy her. I'm calling BS on that.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess frozen cheeseburgers and french fries. And maybe a Diet Coke or two 'cause she's trying to eat healthy.

Perhaps she had a few "bucked up disenchanted New Yorkers" in there?

The arrogance of this woman knows no bounds. I say more power, let her do her thing. The more she alienates "Moderates & Independents" the more we can put our feet on the desk in between her husband's gaffes.

Here's my guess: It was a set up to make her appear like "one of the people", and it doesn't matter what was in the bags because it got tossed as soon as MO was out of sight.

No doubt it was a set-up, but really, do you think she`d throw away Cry-Baby`s diapers ? Not even MOO is that mean !

So what does it say about your campaign when your wife discounts dinner with you to $3 for an entry?

    Good observation !
