There aren’t enough Bin Ladens in the world for Obama to take out to get people to forget that the economy still sucks and everything this administration has done to “fix” it has made the problem worse:

More voters disapprove of President Obama’s handling of the economy than ever before, according to a poll released by CBS News on Friday.

About 60 percent of voters said they disapprove of the president’s handling of the economy, the highest level that CBS has polled, while just 34 percent approve of the job he is doing on the matter.

And we’re getting dangerously close to The One’s self-imposed “if I don’t turn it around in three years I’m a one-termer” deadline.

Maybe they should blame Bush for the bad economy. Have they tried that yet?

Update: Unions are allegedly furious at Obama for delaying the Canada to Texas pipeline and the thousands of jobs that would go with it. I say “allegedly” regarding the union fury because they’ll end up endorsing Obama anyway because they know he’ll find a way to make it up to them with interest.

"make it up to them with interest."

Natch. Is it just me, but every time Doug uses that most appropriate Titanic graphic, all I picture is Progs desparately trying to get BACK onboard! Meet your Skipper, Steve Lerner. First mate, Harry Reid. Al Sharpton as Ship's Chaplain! Patty ( FICA-challenged ) Murray, your Cruise Director…

Seriously, check out the coxsain mate's oars. Put yer' BACKS into it laddies! If we can't get sucked to the briney deep by the undertow there'll ne HELL to pay!? Harrrr!

“There aren’t enough Bin Ladens in the world…”

I rather think that Zero was told the op was moving ahead rather than being asked to pull the trigger on the op.

If the poll was done by CBS, it’s a safe bet the numbers are even higher against and were skewed before being released.

The 39% were first asked if they or anyone in their family have benefited from a Zero government job.

Excellent screen play and casting. You`ve thought this out, matey !? AAARRRR !

BTW, do you know what "Hell to pay" really meant ?

  4. SignPainterGuy on November 12th, 2011 7:41 pm

I`ll bet`cha a dollar to a donut that the disapproval numbers are higher, the approval numbers are lower and CBS-BS polled UNION workers who stand to benefit somehow from Zero`s policies and "interest payments" !

The un-employment numbers are also probably more like 20% or higher !

Progs want everybody back on the Titanic… but they don't want to bother to raise it. They think everybody should just get accustomed to living down in the wreckage while still praising the captain.

  6. swede on November 12th, 2011 7:50 pm

The shocker is that 34% still think he's doing a spiffy job. No wait, they are the govt employees.

  7. SignPainterGuy on November 12th, 2011 9:15 pm

"….while still praising the captain." AND depending on the director for marching orders and believing the chaplain !

Don't worry. As soon as Obama gets the deck chairs more evenly and fairly distributed the ship will stop sinking.

    ( Thought that was Meanchelle's JOB!? )

Yes BWC, re-arranging makes ALL the difference!

You guys sure you're not thinking of The Poseidon Adventure "Part II" where there's a colony at the bottom of the sea using decomposing algae to produce oxygen?

Which ya' know, didn't seem plausible even when it was first released in 1979?

Most of us Conservatives seem to want to believe the LSM Mass Hysteria Deception of assigning new meanings to age old words, shading truths and concealing any and all flaws goes all the way back to the Nazi Propaganda machine, Stalin's maniuplation of the media etc.

Not to say there aren't parallels but Progs have a much more current ( and relevant ) model to work from. If you look at the -peak- of the Housing Boom, by 2006 many in the mainstream were starting to have their doubts this was at all sustainable? Had we truly gotten ahead of ourselves? ARE home supposed to quadruple in price every decade?

The basic formula was much the same as Bammie's Machine. Ignore as loooong as possible. Deny. Confuse. Attack the Accuser! They needed a sunlight resistant strain that somehow survives in the internet age! If you look back, a lot of us bloggers were considered Chicken Littles on THAT one too! No one in the LSM ( particularly PRINT ) refused to lend any credibility as 90% of their ad revenues CAME for Realtors!

"Are homes supposed to quadruple every decade ?"

    Don`t know ! Riddle me this, Batman;
In the `70s my town`s pop. was nearly 10,000. Property tax was about half for the county as for the city. Now, with pop. just below 4,000. the city tax has doubled and the county tax is very nearly equal. In that time, my home value went from $75,000 to $120,000 3 years ago, and down to $105,000 now.

Our "upscale" condo, upscale defined as what Bubble Bloggers lovingly refer to as "Pergraniteel". PERgo floors, GRANITE countertops and stainless steEL appliances, has lost HALF its FMV.

While we BB's invented "Socialize Risks ( Privatize Profits! )" Conservative Bloggers have eagerly embraced these [now] broadly accepted Terms (TM) with our every blessing.

A Depression notwithstanding, Property Taxes continue their 45 deg. RAMP as if the Good Times (TM) march on unabated. Go figure? Here we've sat, for years, agog at "How do die-hards continue to soldier on in dyin' on the VINE communities?" then wake up one morning only to find ourselves among them?

The only… the ONLY reason a flare hasn't been shot up in our bedroom community just outside Salem, OR 'is' because we're within commutable proximity to the State Capitol. Read ObamaSoros Global Currency. There's Public UNION pensions to FUND don't you know?

My Dad and I went to see the first one. Can`t speak for Doug of course, but I didn`t see Part II. Sounds smelly !

While the pop. dropped 60% ish over 35 yrs, and prop. tax doubled (nearly), we haven`t lost services, just haven`t built quite like the plans of the `70s . Big dreams. We have a good town gummit; call for something, it`s done that week – sewer/ water issues, junk or brush pick up. I installed power and water on my back porch, inclosed and insulated, put a stacked washer-dryer out there so Mom wouldn`t have to go to the basement to wash clothes, but it got much colder than I expected and the cold supply just above the floor burst. My neighbor noticed it and banged on my door. Min. water usage is billed at 3000 gal. The next bill was more than double. It leaked a bunch ! When I went to pay, I just casually mentioned what had happened, planning on paying the whole thing, it wasn`t their fault. They dropped the entire extra amt.; wouldn`t even let me pay half. BTW, after the election TUE., I know nearly everybody in city hall.

Word around the United Against Work campfire is that Obammy is a shoe-in because the GOP can't seem to find anything but a bunch of buffoons! (He's also doing a "great job".) As for Herman Cain, well, he's not even black. Rank & file, baaa baaa baaaaaa ….
