Sacrifice: Obama Won’t Go on Vacation if Payroll Tax Cut Extension Not Passed

After being jabbed by Mitt Romney over vacation plans, President Obama said he’ll be staying in Washington — through Christmas if necessary — until Congress passes the payroll tax cut extension.

Naturally, the First Lady wouldn’t dream of spending Christmas apart from her husband and separating the girls from their father over the holida… what? Oh, nevermind:

Obama told Democratic leaders: “Michelle and the girls are going to have a great time in Hawaii, they don’t need me there,” according to Senate Majority Leader Reid (D-Nev.).

The President will show up in Hawaii to join his family eventually. Last year it only cost taxpayers at least $63,000 for FLOTUS to go to Hawaii separately.
