Nancy Pelosi wants that gavel back badly. The desperation combined with delusion can only mean a more rapid and comical descent into madness:
There is a clear path to victory for Democrats in the House to retake the majority in 2012, Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said Thursday night.
“We feel very confident about it. We’ve outraised the Republicans, if you can imagine that. Our small donors have saved the day for us,” Pelosi said on MSNBC.
Democrats need to flip 25 Republican-controlled seats in 2012 to take back control of the House.
Pelosi’s confidence is reassuring… if you’re a Republican. The day of the 2010 elections, Pelosi said this:
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi tonight rejected numerous polls predicting a Republican landslide among House candidates and defiantly predicted that Democrats will retain control of the House of Representatives.
“The early returns and overwhelming number of Democrats who are coming out – we’re on pace to maintain a majority in the House of Representatives,” Pelosi told reporters during a photo op in Washington.
