Nancy Pelosi wants that gavel back badly. The desperation combined with delusion can only mean a more rapid and comical descent into madness:

There is a clear path to victory for Democrats in the House to retake the majority in 2012, Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said Thursday night.

“We feel very confident about it. We’ve outraised the Republicans, if you can imagine that. Our small donors have saved the day for us,” Pelosi said on MSNBC.

Democrats need to flip 25 Republican-controlled seats in 2012 to take back control of the House.

Pelosi’s confidence is reassuring… if you’re a Republican. The day of the 2010 elections, Pelosi said this:

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi tonight rejected numerous polls predicting a Republican landslide among House candidates and defiantly predicted that Democrats will retain control of the House of Representatives.

“The early returns and overwhelming number of Democrats who are coming out – we’re on pace to maintain a majority in the House of Representatives,” Pelosi told reporters during a photo op in Washington.

That night the Dems lost 63 seats and Pelosi had to turn over her gavel to John Boehner in one of the finer moments in the history of American politics:

"Small donors", pffffffft, unspent Porkulus funds !!

But you can smell the desperation and delusion, even without Smell-o-Vision !

I know what river she's paddling her boat down.

  3. Dexter_Alarius on December 16th, 2011 6:17 pm

    I believe it's a creek.
    And she's up it.
    And has no paddle.

We know she's not paddling down the river Styx. She came up that one.

But aren`t those SNAZZY SHOES !?

“We feel very confident about it."

Well. is this not the same looper who said, "We're on track to maintain control of the House…" – on election day – while they were chiseling her name plate off the Speaker's door.

Oh yeah, and she's the genius who said the crapulus bill would save, create or flatulate "500 million jobs". Considering the population is 300 million – thats a job for every American man, woman, child and their pets! And some livestock!

  7. backwoodsconsr on December 16th, 2011 8:36 pm

Hey, the livestock have to flatulate too. Might as well pay them for it.

  8. SignPainterGuy on December 16th, 2011 8:59 pm

It was also San Fran Brainiac who said, "Under Bush`s failed leadership, America was losing 500 Million jobs a month !" Someone corrected her, but it obviously didn`t sink in because she repeated the same ludicrous claim within a few weeks !
That`s every citizen, most pets and a whole lotta livestock EVERY MONTH ! Whoooeee !!

Livestock Americans have the right to full salary, vacation, butcher insurance, oats, hay and state of the art barns for life.

Pffft. What's a half a dozen decimal places when you're fundamentally transforming freedom and democracy?

Pelosi is another example for how up against it the establishment of both parties are. She led the House Democrats over the cliff during her few years as Speaker and yet she is still House Minority Leader. The rank and file can't or won't vote her out even though they don't like her. Why?

It doesn't matter which of the Democratic parties you look at, they are hearing it from the voters but have decided to dig in their heels and fight them. We're hearing plenty of empty bravado from the leaders of "both" parties. It's not working. The natives are getting restless.

If we could just find the spine to not vote for establishment liberals in 2012, they would be through and they know it. The Dems are every bit as scared as the Reps and for good reason. They ALL could lose.

Exactly. We can count on the Democrats to put an end to unfair specieist hiring practices that reserve all the good paying jobs for Homo Sapiens. They should also introduce legislation that will extend to livestock the voting rights to which they have so long been denied. There is another ready made Democrat voting block just waiting to be tapped. There's always room for more sheep on the Democrat plantation.

Yeah, in the overall scheme of things, it is afterall just a dot ! How important can a dot be when it could easily be what a fly left behind !?

More please ! And hopefully, the RNC will learn to do this sort of thing more often !

Here's another problem for Nan and friends….(probably some Repub's, too)

British Police Raid Climategate Blogger's Home

There is often a price to pay for miracles. Several years back a miracle occured at Climate Audit, the website of Steve McIntyre (the man who debunked Michael Mann's Hockey Stick graph); a slew of e-mails hacked or leaked from the Climate Research Unit of the University of East Anglia were released via a Russian server, exposing the private plottings of the group now often called The Team to subvert the science of Global Warming, to intimidate editors of journals, to get alarmist papers peer-reviewed and ban papers from those who do not see Global Warming as a crisis. It was damning stuff. The person who posted the link on Climate Audit merely stated "a miracle has occurred".

And now a second batch of e-mails has appeared at CA and at a couple of other sites, particularly Tallbloke's Talkshop. They are even more damning than the last – and the Empire decided to strike back.

Police in England raided Tallbloke's home, seizing his computers.
Tallbloke, McIntyre, and Jeff Id at Airvent all received the following from the U.S. DOJ:

There is a price to pay for refusing to fall for "Hoax and Chains" or is that 'Buy Into It' ? Don`t believe man is disrupting the climate, BLASPHEMY ! Wanna build a petroleum pipeline that envornitwits claim will damage the land ? Build it and the greenies will sabotage it to prove their point !

Exactly. Small donors=taxpayers. They're getting their campaign contributions the same way they get the money for their charitable donations, by using the power of the government.

A flexible exchange-rate system is a monetary system that allows the exchange rate to be determined by supply and demand.
