Not nearly as much fun as listening to him try to say “round and round the rugged rocks the ragged rascal ran,” but here’s Tom Brokaw referring to Romney as “George” (his father) no less than three times. And just for kicks Tom said the other GOP candidates are waging “jihad” on ol’ George Romney. Imagine the outrage if a Fox News host used that term to describe what was going on during the Democrat primaries in 2008:

Well, Jihad is "holy war". This is more like holy hypocrisy – tossing the "holy handgrenade". Geez, Doug. You have everybody in Flying Circus mode today.

Why does Tom Brokoff even think we care what he has to say? He is an old washed up liberal news reader who needs to just go away. Perhaps he and Dan Rather can go away together. No one cares what they think anymore. No wonder NBC has no credibility anymore.

The wife thinks I overdo it on the Python references, but there's NO SUCH THING as overdoing it on Python references.

"Perhaps he and Dan Rather can go away together."

I… rather assumed they had? Live it up Tom. This will be the last pResidential campaign where television will be the primary mode of coverage.

Don't know if your local cable providers have jumped the shark yet but our "Versus" channel is now NBCSports. 24/7! Given the only thing you can count on the LSM relaying accurately IS sports scores, I think this is a step in the right direction.

Liveblogging will replace most polling let alone tv coverage by 2016. I 'care' what a true technician like say Frank LUNTZ has to say… Tom not so much?

That`s like "Too much fun" or "Too much money" ! No such thing !

Not necessarily so. Remember Ernest Scribbler, manufacturer of jokes.

He wrote the funniest joke in the world and died laughing. It became the most effective weapon against the Germans in WWII.

A dilemma: is it "funny", but not "fun" ? Or was I wrong on a technicality ?

I subscribe to the Myth Busters philosophy: 'If it's worth doing, it's worth overdoing."

Ha haaaa ! Do nothing Half Way !

Well, technically something that's funny must be fun, but Scribblers demise, though funny – was no fun, so it is indeed a dilemma.
