Last night on Twitter I asked if the guy who loads Obama’s words into the teleprompter accidentally put one of his previous SOTU speeches. I think that was the case. Here are just a few examples:

Obama 2010: “It’s time for colleges and universities to get serious about cutting their own costs.

Obama 2012: “Colleges and universities have to do their part by working to keep costs down.”
***

Obama 2010: “And we should continue the work by fixing our broken immigration system.”

Obama 2011: “I strongly believe that we should take on, once and for all, the issue of illegal immigration.”

Obama 2012: “I believe as strongly as ever that we should take on illegal immigration.”
***

Obama 2010: “We face a deficit of trust.”

Obama 2012: “I’ve talked tonight about the deficit of trust . . .”
***

Obama 2010: “We can’t wage a perpetual campaign.”

Obama 2012: “We need to end the notion that the two parties must be locked in a perpetual campaign.”

We’ve seen that same show so many times the speech should have been broadcast on Nick at Night.

Video from the Weekly Standard:

The GOP presidential candidate, whoever that ends up being, should use that in an ad. I can hear it already: “He’s out of ideas, and America is out of time and money.”

    Doesn't he ever Change?

Ya mean like – "hopey/changey"? Just another liberal con game. Zero must watch the movie "The Sting" constantly. And I do believe that movie was filmed in Chicago.

Kind of like the summer weather report if you live in Florida.

Hot. Humid. Chance of afternoon thunderstorm. I think the weather people just record it and take the summer off. They could do the same with SOTU.

Obomber is nothing if not predictable.

It's not just the empty rhetoric, even his hand gestures and emphasis are identical. There's more variation when ZZ Top performs LaGrange on tour. ( It only has two chords as well )

Last night pretty much proves what I've been saying for awhile. "The Election" as it's being played out.., IS amongst the GOP Contenders..! Whomever wins the nomination, wins the Presidency.

    It's really that simple.

Barack Oabama, setting the example for recyclers everywhere!

I don't have a doubt Obama will lose and I think the only people who don't realize that are those who oppose Newt.

Bundlers have a Call-to-Dollar Ratio and clearly they're bumping up against numbers that aren't making sense? In '08, donors were calling HIM..! Now they have to pound the phones 3 X as hard to get -half- the money.

At first, bundlers can offer explanations. The winter blah's, it's superbowl time, hunting season. But when donations refuse to pick up ( particularly among smaller contributors in larger #'s ) i.e 'votes', it's all over but the crying.

Even Obama knows the party is ova. I really believe Obama is working double time putting in place things that the republicans will spend the next 4 years undoing. Obama has gotten what he wanted – he's the first black president, he's THE ONE who got heathcare reform passed. It's been a fun ride for he and his family. He's made loads of money. If he leaves after this term, he'll be satisfied with what he has.

As Clu seatoe noted yesterday, his daughters, set fo' LIFE yo! ( I thought Clinton was the first black pResident? )

I mentioned yesterday there'd be carefully-coded Prog encryptions "the fight would continue" and sure enough:

"We also know that when students aren’t allowed to walk away from their education, more of them walk the stage to get their diploma. So tonight, I call on every State to require that all students stay in high school until they graduate or turn eighteen."

  10. Marshall_Will on January 25th, 2012 4:13 pm

As MM's local initiative GGI said, "Can you say police state"? Right, further they're proposing making college 'mandatory'. Whether or not said student wants to go.

I take that as another Bammie "shout out" to the States that while His azz is getting dumped, He'll remain an active player ( much as Willie has ) continuing the fight, only moving the battle front to the LOCAL level.

Which is pretty DUMB when you think about it! Even in deep Blue Oregon we're winning on the ground. Our local GOP contender for David ( Tigger ) Wu's seat is in a dead heat w/ local Dim tool. So good LUCK w/ Plan B Bammie…

From Politico "State of the Union registers at 8th grade reading level."

President Obama’s SOTU speech brought high-speed broadband to the fore for the second time in two years. There are a number of private-sector solutions to our nation’s spectrum crisis that will create jobs, boost innovation, and make us globally competitive. But government continues to get in its own way. Grover Norquist’s column in The Hill spells out this obstructionist farce: http://thehill.com/blogs/congress-blog/technology
