Alternate title: Caption what George Washington must be thinking:

Usually when somebody talks about a “tug of war” going on in the White House, they’re referring to staff disagreements. Why was the First Lady playing tug of war in the Blue Room? Because Biden was hosting a water gun fight in the State Dining Room and she didn’t want to get wet.

Even ABC News had to point out that this is rather disrespectful considering the setting:

The normally dignified Blue Room at the White House became a late-night show comedy set last month when first lady Michelle Obama engaged in a friendly game of tug of war with host Jimmy Fallon, according to a photo released by the White House today.

The scene, part of a taping for Fallon’s show, is meant to promote Mrs. Obama’s commitment to physical activity — and good humor — on the second anniversary of her “Let’s Move!” initiative aimed at fighting childhood obesity.

Instead of “tug of war” shouldn’t that instead be called “tug of kinetic rope pulling action”?

If FLOTUS is so determined to fight childhood obesity, which she says strikes the lower income communities even harder than the rest, maybe she’ll speak out in favor of the effort of Florida State Senator Ronda Storms to make people on public assistance unable to purchase cake, cookies and chips with food stamps. What say you, Mrs. Obama? … Mrs. Obama?

    Alternate captions:

"Your tax $'s hard at work"

"Sybolism of struggle between the people and the President (after all we know who wears the pants in the family)"

How did we get roped into having her for a First Lady?

I hope George Washington has rolled over in his grave and is giving them the moon. These people have no idea how undignified they are. They are out and out making a mockery of the people's house.

They don't look at it as a mockery, they look at as this is what is owed to them.

    Uh huh !

Is there a tamale hidden in the red ribbon ?

Rumor has it, Wright`s church is rumored to have had a long-running program of marrying gay black men to crabby black women ! She came with the package !

So much subliminal imagery there, hard to know where to start?

Now we know how 'sincere' JF was in his non-apology apology to Michele Bachmann? One gets the the Lyin' A$$ B!tch treatment and MO is treated like freakin royalty. Got it Jimmy!

And isn't this the same George Kennedy that MM noted does all the soft core fluff for the WH? Redefining sycophant on a daily basis. Notice how the chair in the background gives Meanchelle Cat Woman's hip high stripper boots? Watch out, she's sexy guys!

The ribbon has clearly swung in her favor and judging by the angle of the rope ( she's got plenty of help behind her? ) Fallon will regret having done this juvenile stunt after they're ousted.

Totally disgusting and wholly inappropriate. Gym shoes and coveralls. Spiffy.

But that's the effect they were gunning for. Sure, it's a totally tasteless/shameless promotion, but it's OUR White House and we're here to stay!

Like Pasadena Phil notes, selling Cancer is uphill ( AND expensive! ) so go ahead SuperPutz. Portray yourself as a Candidate ODrama and pretend the last 4 years were a warm-up/mulligan.

    We'll buy anything! Not.

It really will be interesting to see the Obama sycophants scrambling after the Nov. elections. Can`t wait !

First she is doing push ups with Ellen and now this, it is so tacky and disrespectful I don't know where to start. Can you imagine if Sarah Palin did something like this the media would have a field day. You would never catch Jackie or Nancy Reagan or any other First Lady behaving like this it is embarassing.

Anyone have an idea what the artwork is on the walls?

The mural on the right appears to be depicting the slave days of the old South; there isn`t enough of the left one visible to tell much ! It looks barely familiar, but I can`t place it. I`ve seen the right one before.

Perhaps someone knows of a WH virtual tour site !

Notice MO's end of the rope isn't dangling. She has someone else helping her pull. Figures.
