The usual battle cry on the SS Hope & Change: Damn the optics, full steam ahead!

Michelle Obama went to Aspen for another vacation, stayed at the home of a billionaire donor, and then went to Cincinnati to tell everybody else they should share their wealth:

First lady Michelle Obama has joined her husband’s bandwagon to hit the rich and spread the wealth, questioning how well-off families can feel good if others are struggling.

To about 300 supporters wealthy enough to pay $300-$10,000 to attend the mid-day event, the first lady said, “If a family in this country is struggling, we cannot be satisfied with our own families’ good fortune.”

She also rapped the rich, as has her husband. “Who do we want to be?” Obama asked. “Will we be a country where success is limited to the few at the top? This country is strongest when we are all better off.”

If Michelle wanted her audience to share the wealth with the less fortunate, why didn’t she ask them to give the $10,000 to charity instead of accept it on behalf of her husband’s campaign? After all, Team Obama will only burn that money trying to get re-elected so they can continue to pile up an unprecedented debt burden on the “less fortunate” they claim to want to share the wealth with.

I see the Obamas and their cronies sharing a lot of debt with Americans… but the wealth, they keep that between each other.

Doug, you know it's unrealistic to expect liberals to do anything useful with money.

As I recall, Aspen Village has about the highest real estate values on the planet. The Aspen Village Police drive Saab 9000 squad cars. Yessir – Fatso FLOTUS fits right in.

The recovery Chart of the Day

Three years of Barack Obama has not made any dent in the trough created by the recession:

O/T…Just got back from seeing Act of Valor with my wife and four boys.

All I can say is it is a must see movie. The action is unbelievable (not to mention authentic), the story is great and the end will hit you hard.

I skied Aspen/Snowmass 20 years ago. Burgers in town were $12-15 back then, I can only imagine what they are now.

"This country is strongest when we are all better off"

Actually this country will get stronger when you and your husband permanently vacate 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

Bizaaro World indeed when anyone would look at that chart and call it an indication of a recovery !

Moo-couch is too funny, but even though I loves the humorous, I don`t know if I could bear to look at moo very often ! Thanks for the peek though !

"This country is strongest when we are all better off."

Both the Obamas "say" some of the right words and phrases, but neither shows any understanding of their meaning or intention to allow them to happen.

In this case, if Zero would stop doing everything in the book to stifle business survival, much less growth, and actually remove crippling regs and rules, then we could have rising tides that float all boats ! Everyone could be better off !

What are you complaining about if your 'wallet' was all you broke?

  11. Marshall_Will on February 24th, 2012 11:44 pm

If you listen to the sound clip of Teh Wun, "We've got -5- years to Get.This.Done" he comes off as listless, staggering and defeated. Head in sand much Mr. pResident? And just how are you going to get anything 'done' if you're fortunate to mask your SCANDALS long enough to eke out another bought and paid for 'victory'?

If it's half as successful as the 2010 mid's you and your agenda are TOAST anyway! Whom exactly are you kidding?

Judging by his desperate tone and usual lame attempts at humor and / or sarcasm, he`s seeing the writing on the wall ! OR …. he`s as deluded as many of us suspect !

I skied there about the same time. You may remember me – bearskin coat and a viking hat with horns?

We just skewered some elk with a ski pole on the back range and made our own burgers.

Well according to Getihner, "if you don't ask, you know, the most fortunate Americans to bear a slightly larger burden of the privilege of being an American, then you have to — the only way to achieve fiscal sustainability is through unacceptably deep cuts in benefits for middle class seniors, or unacceptably deep cuts in national security."

So now the rich have to pay for the priveledge of being an American….

  15. SignPainterGuy on February 25th, 2012 3:13 pm

And if the top 1% don`t pay more for the privilege, then the military, police, firefighters, first responders, Drs, teachers will have to lose their jobs at a rate of 500 million every month for the foreseeable future ……(Pilosi`s version)

"And if the top 1% don`t pay more for the privilege", then Barky and Moo won't get to take those 16 luxurious vacations every year. Ahh, too bad.
