Obama to Replace Biden with Chevy Volt on 2012 Ticket
Filed Under Business, Humor, Politics | 50 Comments
Sorry Joe, but something’s got to be done:

And the best part is that Obama is allowed to count the $10,000 tax credit as a campaign contribution. The new VP has already paid for himself.
The campaign trail this summer just got a lot more fuel efficient. Look for the new VP to be coming soon to your town to ask if it can bum an electrical outlet:
Some don’t see the humor in any of this.

It is a smart move for Obama. He would have a running mate that is less prone to gaffes.
Either one needs PLUGS.
Bob Lutz is a conservative? Since when? Words have lost all meaning when it comes to politics.
WOT but Michael Douglas has joined forces with the FBI in NY on a campaign to have whistle blowers turn in hedge funds who trade on inside information.

Let's flood them with the names of the Washington politicians who were exposed in "Throw Them All Out". NY, NJ and PA seem to have more than their share of crooked pols. Better yet, let's send them the Amazon link so the FBI can buy their own copy.
Have you seen the Ramirez cartoon showing the electric car pulling the coal plant on wheels ?

I wish I could show this to all the eco-weenies !
Replacing one Dolt with another.
The replacement is sure to be less gaffetastic, but if it should find itself involved in a gaffe, will it catch on fire two weeks later ?
They should start in Congress, they would get more bang for our buck.
The Volt says it is "shocked" you would dare ask such a question. Are you some sort of Motor-Electrophobic person? (You know that is the card that the Obama campaign will play).
No surprise at the shock, but no, I`m not a Motor-Electrophobe. I`ve told you before (perhaps before you wisely became a regular here at TPTB), I`m afraid of phobias !
So if the fear of phobia is called phobophobia, then what would the fear of phobophobists be called?
SKEERT !
The Volt would be a better VP Candidate than Sarah Palin was.
Scuse me…aaaahh, was that your attempt to annoy? My gawd, you are a child.
That was pretty pitiful.
Your lips move when you read, right?
But Bozo Joe's batteries don't need to be replaced every 5 years at $9000 a pop. He just keeps going and going and going and…
I get more of a charge out of Sarah than the Volt can hold.
The old windbag's jaws are the closest thing to perpetual motion that has ever been seen.
Ditto ! And as a bonus, Sarah`s primary part doesn`t have to be replaced after only 5 years !
And gum stuck to my shoe could be a less destructive President than Barack HUSSEIN Obama !
Speaking of Volts, my dealership`s only Dolt has now been moved into the showroom. My guess; it ain`t gonna sell and they`re tired of having to re-wash it !
At just before 3:30 today, I was sitting at a redlight on my way to have a late lunch when "CHUNCK" came from under the hood. I thought it musta been the serpentine belt breaking. It was 7 years old or so, but nope, It was the idler / tensioner wheel that broke. I pulled into an empty lot, scoped it out under the hood, called my dealership and asked them to call me a wrecker. 25 minutes later, my Cheby truck was being loaded. 20 minutes after that, we were unloaded at the dealership and the service writer and the mechanic were summing up the situation. They had the part in stock, so it was installed before the new serpentine belt arrived from a parts store. In just over an hour and a half, my truck went from broken to fixed and I was on my way to lunch ! And it`s MONDAY !
Their heads would explode.
Yeah, LOOK at the untold economic damage Sheriff Joe has wrought upon generations of tax paying Americans, their children and GRAND children and then make Doltish (TM) remarks about how a McCain/Palin admin. might have worked out..?
Freaking brilliant.
Still working on a "Boodle Exemption" on Form 1040 long about Lines 57 and 62. "Now calculate the Amount we 'claim' you owe and forward that Amount to your PEU/SEIU/ACORN loving neighbor. You do NOT owe that portion. Proceed to Line 63…"
You didn't offer to test drive the Dolt?
Well, as I said, it`s in the showroom now. They don`t roll one outa there unless you are gonna buy it ! BUT, if the lovely saleslady I met and drove with 2 weeks ago had offered to ride with me, I`d have been willing to. They`ve washed it enough, I doubt it still has cooties !
Wow, 3 firsts at the Daytona 500 ! The 1st time the race was rain delayed and postponed to Monday. The 1st time the 500 has been run at night ! And the 1st time Montoya took out a track drier !
All I know is that if they get this thing re-started I won't be awake for the rest of it.
If that track wasn't damaged by that heat I want to hire the company that poured it to put in my next driveway.
True enough, and I've pointed to the folly of paying out-scale taxes to the 'State' as "keeping the money 'locally' rather than sending it to th Feds!" for years.
The same logic that dictates being saddled in a wheelchair for the rest of your life equates to untold savings on shoes..! But I am perfectly serious.
Huge swaths of th U.S tax paying population rec'd absolutely -zero- 'benefit' from Boodlepahlooza. And I utterly REFUSE to pay one thin dime to cover it.
Well, with the Volt as his VP-in-waiting, the campaign'll be on fire!
Truly !! That was a HOT fire ! 40 laps to go ! How much damage ……..?
Hearin` ya !!
I'm going to be very surprised if the track can still handle 200 mph racing after that blaze. I wouldn't have blamed the NASCAR officials if they had called the race before they even started the cleanup.
The camera zoomed in on one crewman sweeping in the darkest part. It looked a bit gravelly to me. Yeah, I`ll be really surprised if it`s not too fouled. The track boss said maybe in half an hour they`ll restart or know why not ! We`ll see. They`re making a gallant effort !
Now they`re spreading a super-quick setting sealer called Street Bond over the burned area. Now if the rain will hold off and this stuff dries, we can finish this race tonight !
Now that we know Doug's a NASCAR fan too, I'm wondering how many weekend threads will become NASCAR threads. Of course, we often wander pretty far off topic around here anyway.
It`s a Chevy Re-Volt / VP thread, so racing crashing and burning isn`t very far O/T ! Right ?
NASCAR is more electrifying than "green" cars ever thought about being.
Indeed, more electrifying than anything "green" ! Not to mention, NASCAR is SELF SUSTAINING without subsidies ! Aaah, ha ha ha haaaaa !!
Now we have a Daytona 500 4th FIRST ! The race started on Monday and will finish on Tuesday !
The patch looked to me to be gravelly as the cars rolled over it !
First lap at speed after re-start went without a bobble !
I dozed off shortly after it restarted and woke up just in time to see the finish. I don't think those last two laps were worth waking up for.
You only missed a couple big crashes !
I wonder if the Goracle sponsors a car in this:
http://www.nedra.com/
I had to catch the finish on Sportscenter this morning.
I'm laughing my ass off.
Put the Volt on a drag strip and watch it expend its entire charge in 5 seconds!
I have serious doubts, Doug. Even though electric drag cars and bikes can have neck-snapping acceleration, ain`t nuthin` makin` the Goracle`s butt look fast !
Plus, NEDRA is about competition; leftists are afraid of competition; it`s not fair that the Goracle`s slow-lookin` ass might lose !
Thanks for the NEDRA link, Doug. FAAaaa..a…a….a…..a…….s……..s………t !
Circle Track racing can often be better in the Readers` Digest format !
