Did Obama get elected to a second term and I missed it? Biden’s talking here as if The One has already won.

From ABC News:

Vice President Joe Biden says that President Obama put his job on the line when he authorized the covert raid into Pakistan last year to capture or kill Osama bin Laden.

“This guy’s got a backbone like a ramrod,” Biden told a crowd of campaign donors in Washington, D.C., Monday night. “He said, ‘Go,’ knowing his presidency was on the line. Had he failed in that audacious mission, he would’ve been a one-term president.”

Had the mission failed we wouldn’t have heard anything about it.

I don’t blame Obama’s people for game planning the Bin Laden kill during the campaign as automatically as Tom Brady going to Wes Welker. Bin Laden is just about the only card in Obama’s hand that’s worth anything.

The bad news for Sheriff Joe is that Obama will probably be a one term president in spite of Bin Laden being removed from the life pool. Obama’s biggest problem is that he and his cohorts have also ordered the double-tapping of the economy and the constitution (by the way, the projected ten-year cost of Obamacare is now $1.76 trillion — almost twice the amount they lied about when they passed the bill).

Biden’s used that “Obama has a backbone like a ramrod” line on a few occasions in the past, and overkill like that is dumb because it breeds skepticism. Being an unflinching “gutsy call” decision-maker is like Margaret Thatcher’s definition of being a lady: If you have to tell somebody you are, you aren’t.

Anyone verify if that pic is photoshopped? More animated than Jerry Lewis at a fund raiser. LaaaayDeeee!?

Damn skippy we wouldn't have heard about it. "In other news tonight the Obama Administration openly admits to another botched attempt at getting Bin Laden..?"

Let's be STRAIGHT here.., even BHO's most ardent ( read delusional ) supporters only gave him license to fix the ECONOMY. Not swag GunWalker, dole out crony-dollars to green sweethearts and cattle prod healthcare down our throats.

    He's managed to alienate everyone.

"…. overkill like that …… breads skepticism." Exactly right; it forms a pattern of behavior. A liar gets caught, not just because he makes a poor excuse, but because of the pattern of repeated excuses. pRes. Downgrade has lied so many times, blamed everyone else for everything wrong, grabbed credit for everything right, broken nearly every promise – only the most addicted kool aid drinker could fail to see through him at this point and still plan to vote for him in Nov.; or stand to profit handsomely by his re-election !

Of course he`s One and Done !!

The Kenyan and the dwarf – embryonic Ed Sullivan. Nowhere to go but up. Just don’t know how.

At least Jerry Lewis billed himself as a dufus, these two don’t seem to have a clue.

Ha ha ha ! Don`t even realize they ARE doofuses ….. or is that "doofii" ?!

"but because of the pattern of repeated excuses"

Eventually, we're too exhausted to bother examining each fabrication, assume they're LYING and go back to bed. As has nearly ALL of his non-comp'd supporters. Strong summation btw.

    Clu,

You're right. It was unfair of me. It's just that ever since George Carlin, comedians have stopped wearing suit & tie altogether.

Yes I'm aware Comedy Central has several gentlemen that 'wear' them but even MM can't determine whether or not they are comedians or 'commentators?

Anyone that would like to put together an "O'Bimbo Laugh Track DVD of Bammie's Greatest Lies" ( Doug and/or SPG have my email! ) Seriously, this is a million seller! A keepsake we can play over and over between the election and inauguration.

"Had the mission failed we wouldn’t have heard anything about it."

Damn skippy on that. Our alphabet networks (AKA American Pravda) would've been in maximum overdrive burying THAT story…

“He said, ‘Go,’ knowing his presidency was on the line"

Of course that should read that he said 'Go' after he needed to 'sleep on it' and dissapeared for 16 hours stunning all the officials present.

Or… how long can I STALL until the intel goes stale and OBL can be tipped off? You KNOW that had to be a consideration. Finally He concluded He had no other option but to let the SEALS do their thing.

And only concluding so after weighing the political capital/fallout ratios. Great link as always TS.

  10. SignPainterGuy on March 14th, 2012 3:42 pm

Clinton was handed the opportunity to get OBL and sat on it and failed to act; Bush failed to get him; Urkel could not stand that negative legacy. You just know that his stalling as long as he did was an indication that he wanted NOT to HAVE TO give the "GO", but couldn`t afford to ask, "Didn`t I do that ?"

  11. Truesoldier__ on March 14th, 2012 5:42 pm

That was my thought. I guess OBL's courier had his cell off and after 16 hours of trying Obama knew he could no longer stall.

As for the link, you know it is bad news for Obama when even one of the most liberal newspapers in England is running the story.

How gutsy of him to approve the mission. I mean the alternative was to say, "No thanks, I'll pass on killing Bin Laden." I can't believe the courage he had in making that decision!
