Will the IRS give it back if the Supreme Court strikes down the law?

From The Hill:

The Obama administration is quietly diverting roughly $500 million to the IRS to help implement the president’s healthcare law.

The money is only part of the IRS’s total implementation spending, and it is being provided outside the normal appropriations process. The tax agency is responsible for several key provisions of the new law, including the unpopular individual mandate.

That’s a lot of “enforcement” for something we’re all allegedly going to love, isn’t it?

Dems say the law is about health care, but it’s really about revenue to the government at the expense of our health care.

Just to give you all an idea of how many jobs as of today the IRS has posted here you go:

Jobs open to all US citizens:

    28 jobs

Jobs open to those who are already employed by the government, veterans, military spouses, etc.

    462 jobs

"…outside the normal appropriations process…" What does that mean? The Treasury Dept. is printing more money and sending it direct to the IRS without Congress knowing about it? Or maybe the IRS will anticipate the mandate by a couple of years and start levying 'pre- penalty/taxes' on selected taxpayers. Keep a close eye on your refund.

If it is so dadburn good for us and will work so well, why do we have to be forced to participate ?

The most contradictory sentence I've ever heard is "you'll love the new mandate!"

BTW, Doug, is there any way you can opt-out of the Obama ad that has appeared almost exclusively in your header ?

Working on it! I don't have direct control over the Google ads though so I've had to send some emails (to the guy who owns this server).

Although I did get an email from a reader who said that it's unlikely anybody here is going to click on that to donate to Obama, so we're helping waste his campaign's money by having the ad there.

I was thinking the same thing. It seems every banner ad is for some liberal politician or petition. I was going to email you and congratulate you on helping to waste away the Dem's campaign coffers.

Now that we know it is the server owners deal it just proves a different point. Give liberals money and watch it get wasted.

Truesoldier = No truer words have been spoken.

Libs love to waste money as long as it does not come directly out of their own pockets. Poor saps that are donating to the liberal cause – thinking it is going to make a difference.

Thanks Doug for looking in to it ! I don`t want you to lose any income that may come from ads, it`s just that one look at the Medusa is more than enough and this ad has been everywhere for days !

"Dems say the law is about health care, but it’s really about revenue to the government at the expense of our health care."

One of those maxims of life. Don't like it, though.
