Gee, I wonder why?

With the approach of summer many are wondering whether the Obama’s would return to the Island for another vacation. Well, today the Boston Herald reported that, “President Obama will not return to Martha’s Vineyard.”

The fact that it’s an election year is certainly a factor in the decision not to vacation. Plus, since Blue Heron Farm, the Chilmark estate that the Obama’s rented for the past two years, was sold last fall to Lord Norman and Lady Elena Foster, an architect and arts publisher from Great Britain, it’s no real surprise that we won’t see Malia and Sasha playing Whack-a-Mole at the Ag Fair.

There are many who will call this good news. No motorcades, no mobs outside of Sweet Life. Others will find this bad news. Business owners especially will miss those same crowds and the potential for a presidential photo op to hang on their establishment’s wall for eternity.

“Island ice cream shops and burger joints hardest hit.”

Downside for the Obama campaign: No Vineyard backdrop for more “gutsy call” photo ops.

Hopefully Obama will get to return to Martha’s Vineyard next summer… as a private citizen.

It will be interesting to see if the Mrs. Vacationer-in-Chief holds any lines as well.

    Sacrifice??

    Wait! Wait! Stop the world!

Did you actually us the words “sacrifice” and “Obama” in the same sentence??

Definitely a sign of concern for his place at the head of the line.

    Where, then?

Hawaii? Chicago? Cher's house? Spain? South Africa?

I was thinking the same thing. While in Columbia, Obama did say he was scounting out places to take FLOTUS on their next vacation, so I guess this isn't that big of a shock. Besides, Marthas Vineyards is soooo last year…and the year before that for that matter.

Wherever they go, it needs to have an airport big enough to hold both jets.

With the "farm" now in the hands of Brits and the One`s hatred of Great Britain, I doubt he`d be able to stay there for pure comfort reasons. Since they`ll be vacationing on their own dime next summer, are there Motel 6s on the island ? Oh, they do prefer nicer digs, maybe they`ll choose Holiday Inn Express (IF there`s one of those on the island), and get some extra knowledge in the deal. ("No, I don`t have a Ph.D., but I did stay at Holiday Inn Express last night !")

So when we went over (1) year without a budget, there was no call for sacrifice. When we went (2) years over ( as Doug & Michelle began marking off the noniversaries ) then THREE years without a budget was no cause to panic…?

But when it comes to losing HIS job..!

"Since they`ll be vacationing on their own dime next summer,"

The most important visual we can possibly broadcast to both supporterz and haterz. Picturing Bammie as a beaten, demoralized mom jeans wearing 'man' invigorates our base and strikes sheer terror in the hearts of Peggy the Moochers everywhere.

Unlike Al Gore who had a green wave to ride post-defeat, those doors have been permanently CLOSED and of His own making I might add. Bummie will now be free to spend all the time he WANTS with Professional Left commiserators but as THEIR gigs dry up ( yes I mean YOU Erica Payne & Van Jones ) how long do you think the 'sympathy' will last?

With November`s election, we will be rid of pRes. Downgrade, VP Gaffetastic, Reid`s speakership and a lot of other corruptocrats and rinos, but what can we do about the Van Joneses et. al who exist just outside the periphery of election and presidential appointment ?

Precisely why de-funding NPR, EPA etc. is such an imperative. And why VJ is in furious efforts to get his eco-bank chartered in HI before The Done has a great fall.

They're in a mad scramble to stake out what turf will remain. Big donor dollars for "Center for ____ Policy" will dry up and be under constant scrutiny. If you think they change dot.org's often now..? They'll be moving on as smartly as door-to-door 'contractors' taking seniors $$$ for roof and gutter repairs.

I'm no Constitutional Scholar, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

I would suggest Indonesia, but you know he isn`t interested in any non-state affair trips to any muslim hell holes !

Oh…really. What's Martha's Vineyard when you have Air Force One to take you Anywhere in the world you're little heart desires.

The Obama's will not skip their vacations…they will be working HARD for us in Hawaii, India,…Istanbul…
