Thanks to the voters of Wisconsin for sapping the motivation of these “Recall Snyder” people here in Michigan. Watching them beg for signatures from innocent commuters at expressway park & rides was a sad sight, and now it’s over:

A Michigan group is abandoning its effort to recall Republican Gov. Rick Snyder after Tuesday’s failure of an effort in Wisconsin to recall Gov. Scott Walker, the group’s spokesman announced this morning.

Bruce Fealk of Michigan Rising said in a news release the group was well short of its goal in collecting signatures.

“It has become abundantly clear that Michigan Rising was not going to accomplish its goal of recalling Gov. Snyder,” Fealk said.

Though it will stop collecting recall signatures, the group will continue work to stop “the corporate takeover” of Michigan and plans to develop a progressive think tank and leadership development organization, he said.

The rational thinking world understands that the path public sector unions want to take isn’t sustainable and will lead to disaster. That’s why Scott Walker received about one-third of the union vote in Wisconsin. Even a sizable chunk of union members understand we’re on a road to ruin if Big Labor isn’t reigned in big time.

Loudspeaker: "Attention K-Mart Shoppers! We have a blue-light special on Recall Fail! Come get some now, cheap!"

Bruce Fealk: "Is this the same stuff the unions used in Wisconsin? How much do you have? We'll take it all."

Raise your hand if you think the DMV employees are worthy of more of our money during their leisure time in retirement from their hard working stool days.

MORE kudos for Doug, Michelle and all of YOU..! Talk about a momentum breaker?

In order for there to be equity and fairness in the recall process, apparently we need to institute clauses as many states have for frivilous lawsuits. LOSER PAYS. Without consequences on the back end, as we go to dismantle the Prog Agenda, we'll be fighting knee jerk 'Recalls' every step of the way.

Looks like the President picked up some Joke-Fail too:

(be sure to have a garbage can near by if you are good with imagining the situation he is describing)

Who knew the president could diminish himself so much! What's next, selling his undergarments for campaign donations?

I would go further and spell out grounds in which a recall could be conducted. Having recalls just because you disagree with policy is just plain ridiculous. That are what elections are for..

  6. Marshall_Will on June 7th, 2012 1:54 pm

Right, not even sure their being petition signature driven is equitable either?

Just last night ( while commenting on "Democracy died tonight" guy ) Bill O misstated ( yet again ) the Conservative position. For any party or pol. to simply believe having the thinnest of grounds to claim "I Won" is license to do as they please is plain wrong.

Bill's assertion leaves wide open the very door BHO exploited immediately upon taking office in '09. Going into one end of an election a Democracy and coming out the other as a Constitutional Monarcy clearly wasn't the founding father's intentions.

    Nor attaining it via Recall.

It`s likely secretly happening among his closest buds !

  8. SignPainterGuy on June 7th, 2012 2:27 pm

Just more evidence O`Really IS NOT a conservative. AND, he still looks at Zero as basically having good intentions / no malevolence !

  9. Marshall_Will on June 7th, 2012 2:34 pm

Right, just another well intentioned bumbler. We could fill a book w/ what Bill doesn't get.

The LAST thing we need right now is to allow the Professional Left semantic wiggle room to explain away their transgressions of the last 4 years.

  10. SignPainterGuy on June 7th, 2012 3:08 pm

O/T, but on the subject of "leftist transgressions"; you know how the anti-drilling crowd has long claimed that it takes 10 years from start of drilling to oil on the market ? Well, here in NC the subject of Fracking is big in the news, in this case, it`s in natural gas exploration and extraction. I can understand the fears of the unknown when you`re talking about blasting underground, but gee whiz, let`s be reasonable. NC has NG reserves less than a mile deep. Let`s get at it ! This week, an anti-fracking / anti-NG – petroleum nut falsely claimed it would take "20 years" to get this NG to market ….. let`s talk about the dangers some more ….

Yeah, I drove distracted for a few minutes after that one !

  11. Truesoldier__ on June 7th, 2012 3:12 pm

I wouldn't even say he is a well intentioned bumbler. He is more about ratings than anything. He did come from Inside Edition after all.

  12. SignPainterGuy on June 7th, 2012 3:19 pm

M_W meant Zero is the "well intentioned bumbler". Otherwise, you`re right about O`Really being for the ratings.

Years ago, someone said of a famous personality who didn`t really show his worth, "I`d like to buy him for what he`s worth and sell him for what he THINKS he`s worth" !

I have never understood the attraction to Bill; he`s such a pompous squish !

  13. Marshall_Will on June 7th, 2012 5:37 pm

    Hey..!? ( I LIKED Inside Edition! )

  14. Marshall_Will on June 7th, 2012 5:41 pm

More timeline distortions. If you're talking about being tied up IN COURT w/ endless enviro nitwit nuisance suits, then yes, we'll be using whale blubber for lamp oil before a cubit FOOT of this reaches distribution levels.

Just curious, I planned to do this w/ my 1975 Ford LTD back in the late 90's but never got around to it. Even here in OR Propane is only $2.75 a gal. We're an outdoorsy bunch so it's everywhere. I got a "prope" quoted of $1,500 for a conversion.

Even given the reduced HP and MPG, would this make sense? JQ

  15. SignPainterGuy on June 7th, 2012 9:04 pm

Not sure how to do the math on that, but I have a strong feeling it would take a lot of driving and LP use before you broke even. If you just want to improve the MPG of the old Earth Ship, it would, IMHO, be cheaper and easier to swap out the 4 bbl for a 2 bbl carburetor. Here`s another point to keep in mind; there aren`t all that many propane stations spread out across the country yet, like gas stations on every corner.

I could have sworn I heard Robin Williams !

"Who knew the president could diminish himself so much! What's next, selling his undergarments for campaign donations?"

You mean that haven't already? Oh, I forgot that was the Clintons?

  18. ChapBix on June 7th, 2012 11:44 pm

"Without consequences on the back end,"

Those costs should be on the front end.

  19. ChapBix on June 7th, 2012 11:55 pm

O'Really does not brandish himself as a conservative.

  20. SignPainterGuy on June 8th, 2012 12:25 am

The last two tanks I filled up for $3.35 / G. I had to drive over 20 miles to get it ($3.43 here in town), but it`s near the airport, some fave dining and shopping, so I just time the need with the greed ! ;-)

Tomorrow I`ll have an extra reason for the out of the way drive; there is a `29 Ford Tri-Motor airplane giving flights for $80. (no, not me), but I plan to get some pix !

I shall yield to your greater familiarity with Bill; I have seldom watched him. When I did, he always made some disturbing comment about Obama being a nice guy or the like or something that sounds all authoritative, but squishy moderate. Plus, he yells !
