Justice Department Indicts 5 for Death of Brian Terry; Not Surprisingly, None of Those Indicted Work for the Justice Department

It’s just maddening that this announcement is being made by some of the same people who supplied the weapons that Agent Terry was killed with just to help them make a ginned up statement about gun control.

From Beltway Confidential:

Justice Department (DOJ) officials indicted five individuals for the death of U.S. Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry — who was murdered by drug traffickers armed through Operation Fast and Furious – and a $1 million reward for information leading to their arrest.

“Agent Terry served his country honorably and made the ultimate sacrifice in trying to protect it from harm, and we will stop at nothing to bring those responsible for his murder to justice,” Attorney General Eric Holder said today. “This investigation has previously resulted in one defendant being charged with Agent Terry’s murder and taken into custody, and today’s announcement reflects the department’s unrelenting commitment to finding and arresting the other individuals responsible for this horrific tragedy so that Agent Terry’s family, friends and fellow law enforcement agents receive the justice they deserve.”

Holder will “stop at nothing”… unless it has anything to do with turning the remaining F & F documents over to the House. Then it’s just a political witch hunt.

For some reason, Holder’s announcement of the search for the perps reminded me a little of this.

    This is a political maneuver. It's purpose is to convince the low-information voters that the Obama administration is on top of things and doing something about it and the Republicans are just on a witch hunt.

    This is a completely disgusting attempt to shield Holder and Obama from the cover up. While I want justice for the perps who killed Agent Terry – the DOJ should be held accountable for the weapons that killed him. DOJ is as guilty as the ILLEGALS who pulled the trigger. And notice how fast the MSM jumped on the story today – just as disgusting. They ignored it for two years and now they are jumping up and down.

    Bushes program, Operation Wide Receiver, actually DID track the weapons, DID involve the Mexican Government, and was stopped when it became obvious it was failing, in 2007. All three of those points make it different from Obama / Holder`s version ! NO, Operation Fast & Furious IS NOT the program started in the Bush administration !

    Get your "facts" straight ! And if these "facts" came from WaPo, you might reconsider relying on them. You see, their own Fact Checkers found their own stories so full of holes, like "Romney`s Bain Capitol" outsourcing jobs over seas (they gave that one Four Pinocchios – Obama is running a lying ad), WaPo quit using their fact checkers to fact-check their own articles. Fascinating ! They can`t even trust their own stories ! Ha ha !

    Bush did NOT start F&F.

    Gunwalker,under Bush, was very limited, the guns were tracked AND the Mexican Government was aware of it.

    NO DEAD PEOPLE.

    This adm. put that program on steroids with millions of dollars from the stimulus fund, purposely did NOT track the weapons, AND the Mexicans were not informed.

    TWO DEAD BORDER AGENTS, HUNDREDS OF MEXICANS…..referred to as collateral damage.

    F&F was used to create chaos so they could crack down on ALL guns, stripping Americans of their 2nd. Amendment Rights.

    If all ^^ this isn't bad enough…..

    Had a great time – 4 days on the water, 3 firework shows, bon fire every night, a day at the casino with my mom (and I walked away a tad bit richer), lots of visiting with family and friends and great weather to boot. Perfect vacation! Then came home to find out that cukes were ready for canning so instead of resting up from my vacation I am canning pickles! No rest for me in sight for the next week!

    To add to your post, In Bush's Wide Receiver program the guns were outfitted with RFID tracking chips. This way the US and Mexican governments could track the weapons and make arrests. When it was discovered that the cartels had found and disabled the trackers the program ended.

    In Obama's F&F program no attempt was made to outfit the guns with any sort of tracker, agents were told not to follow the guns or to make any arrests.

    So zacbal, before you go posting on websites perhaps you ought to do some research on your own and stop relying on democratic party talking points.

    Obama looking thin and sickly could be due to his narcissistic personality. His world is crumbling around him. He sees the polling (and I would guess the internal polling is shows it even worse), his fundraising not going to meet his goal of $1 billion, and even some in the press have started to turn on him (more as an attempt to save their last shred of credibility than it is to hurt Obama's reelection).

    Then you factor in that Congress isn't just rolling over and playing nice anymore (and I mean members of his own party), so he feels that he has to EO things to get things done. Of course that has lead to shock on his part when Joe Public hasn't accepted his "wisdom" on the use of EO's.

    This is causing his whole view of himself to come crumbling down and it aint going to be pretty.

    Zacbal, I've seen your type before. Since my cohorts have responded to your grenade with the facts and the truth, here is my response to you:

    Prove, so I can use your argument in something other than a glorified urinating contest, that you're right. I want fact driven data, and not the regurgitated opinions of those you agree with.

    To wit: A fact is verifiable, and gives the person reading a point that can be verified from multiple sources. Something like "George W. was the first president."

    An opinion is a statement of a person's state of mind, and can neither be proven or disproved, like "Conservative women are hotter than liberal ones."

    Now, Zacbal, run along. The adults are speaking now.

    Hmmmm, you know how past Presidents have had annual physicals and the media has reported the results ? I don`t remember Zero EVER getting a check up or it being reported !

    Oh fer certain, I want them ALL on the hot seat, prosecuted and sentenced to 30 days in the gas chamber / electric chair. You just mentioned Nappy Jan, so I thought how nice it would be to see her squirm under the camera lights and inquisition style reaming !

    Somehow I doubt she`d bear up under the pressure like Col. Ollie North and Condi Rice !

    I also noticed this. If you don’t specifiy the theme engine in your themes .info file, Drupal 7 won’t use your page.tpl.php but will use everything else. So I would also say this line is indeed required.
