Naïveté on Parade

God help us:

In an interview with David Letterman taped on Tuesday, Barack Obama pressed leaders in the Muslim world to help ensure the safety and security of Americans abroad, Reuters reported.

“The message we have to send to the Muslim world is we expect you to work with us to keep our people safe,” he said.

“We expect their full cooperation because that’s the only way the world works.”

Well that must make our people serving overseas in any number of capacities feel a lot more secure. What would President Obama think if he heard the head of the Secret Service tell a crowd at a rally “we expect your cooperation because that’s the only way we can keep everybody here safe”?

Obama’s idea of “security” is trying to censor things that might spur certain people to violence combined with asking their leaders to see to it that everybody plays nice? Good luck with that.

After turning the duty of securing the safety of US personnel abroad over to leaders in the Muslim world, Obama didn’t have anything better to do so he went to an “important” $4 million fundraiser hosted by Jay Z and Beyonce.

    And this has worked soooo well that everything has calmed down in the world….oh wait. I see the ambassadors car in Beijing has been damaged and more protests all over the ME. More likely the Muslim leaders laughed themselves silly after receiving that message.

    What a buffoon! Truer words were…. This guy doesn’t have a lick of common sense and he wants to lead America?

    How many sins must one commit before one becomes a sinner? How many kids must be molested before one becomes a child molester. How many murders before being called a murderer? ad nauseum.

    Read your book! Your people don’t give a damn about the “world working” until they’re the only ones left in the world then they’ll be turning on themselves, as we’ve seen! Those misogynistic pedophiles are not about world peace, dufus.

    One wonders how you ever got through school, if in fact you did, with such a learning disability. This sort of willful blindness is a quality the public does not desire in a leader.

    When the bell rings in November just go home, hopefully never to be heard from again. You’re embarrassing yourself, and worse, America.

I haven't seen the scripted, staged 'interview' just yet, but why am I willing to believe that's a carefully coded message to the Muslim World ( clearly not part of the rest of our's ) that essentially says:

    Do whatever you WANT. Clearly I'm not going to do JACK about it. ( At least until after the election? )

    If he does lose, I am terrified about the November 7-January 20 time. I'd support a constitutional amendment to limit presidential powers for a lame duck president to requiring 2/3 congressional approval for all things that they wanted to do in that time, like pardon blind sheiks.

    Speaking of China. The protesters at the US Embassy in Beijing were chanting "we want our money back". To top that off, here is the latest in foreign policy shift under this administration:

    "Our rebalance to the Asia-Pacific region is not an attempt to contain China. It is an attempt to engage China and expand its role in the Pacific," Panetta said

    Sounds to me like a coded message to Beijing that we will not intercede if they go after Japan.

    Either that or change the innaguration day (which has been done before). The need for a long period between the election and innaguration day is not needed anymore. It has been held on 5 different dates. The most common prior to the 20th ammendment was March 4th. The date was changed in large part as a way to combat "lame duck" seesions. There used to be a need for a long transition period as it would take much longer to travel and move to DC. This is no longer the case.

    Legislation has already been "mentioned" if not actually introduced (it may have been passed in the House) to greatly limit the Pres`s Lame Duck powers.

    The inauguration date should be 30 days after the election, IMO.

    In this modern age, U-Haul trucks can be built, shipped to a dealer, rented and loaded with the Obama`s junk and stolen WH silver and driven off an ocean pier in 30 days easily ! Oops, is that RAAAAACISSST ? LOOK, SQUIRREL !! Romney hates half of Americans !!

    I think THE most popular sticker here is "Eat Local Food"; who doesn`t want to support local growers ? The new dem logo sticker (round w/ the plowed ground, etc. in red, white and blue) in several versions is gaining in popularity.

    Again leading from behind, the cost of compliance places smaller, local growers at a distinct disadvantage. Given everyone from Monsanto to General Mills to Kraft Foods was onboard to the HILT for this?

    We're bowing to 'agencies' and RULED by them in every facet of our lives. Truly a disaster that needs UNdoing every bit as much O'DramaCare.

    O/T..The Administration is finally admitting that the terrorist attack in Benghazi was in fact a terrorist attack. Though they are spinning it this way:

    "The U.S. government just isn’t sure yet whether the terrorist attack was pre-planned or whether it was an example of terrorists taking advantage of protests against an anti-Islam film, Olsen said"

    So now they are tyring to spin it as a possible “spontaneous” terrorist attack….

    Given the timing of everything, I'd like that there would be no pardons after the last Tuesday in October (so we can see all of the pardons prior to the election), and those can be overturned by 2/3 congressional vote within 120 days. The whole idea of a President having that unilateral power is a bit tyrannical.

    Having the lame duck session's power reduced would keep the rats' "name the post office after me" (you should see the amount of these laws that have been passed since 2011….) crapola to a minimum. Or… have a person who will not be in the next session's vote count as 2/3.

    I'm an outside the box thinker…

    Hey, times change. The sheer audacity in the wake of the 2010 mid's was likened to The Rape of Manila and other historical sackings of retreating armies by many a poster.

    As I mentioned yesterday, if they want to blame Bush for AIG and other EARLY bailouts, that's FINE. If the shoe fits? What leaves me speechless, even at the lowly Guard-level, when a new Warehouse Sup. takes over, a *Complete Inventory* is done stem to stern.

    Everything is open to audit. Supply mgrs. learned years ago, going after someone that's already transferred or collecting a PENSION is an uphill thing.

    'Balanced' budget? We can't even GET a budget!

    It may be that it was 47% in March/April timeframe, but since they've been sitting on it since then, they use it for maximum benefit.

    Worse is the accounting tricks used, like in the late 1990's, they just added SS revenue (previously off-budget) to the budget, and voila! It's a surplus!

    Newt was just as much a culprit as Clinton was.

    Balanced Budget? HAH! We need to run $2 Trillion surpluses* to pay this thing off in 8-10 years.

    (Here's a crazy way to do it: Cut all spending not authorized by Article I, Section 8, and leave taxes alone.)

    No need for taxpayers to pay for rental trucks to move the Obamas out of the WH. We have, or used to have, an ample fleet of trucks in the military. Once loaded with the two adult Obamas, they can proceed to Ft. Leavenworth for an indefinite stay.
