camp

They can spend all the time at all the camps they want and it won’t wipe the FAIL off the last four years, but they’ll try anyway:

To remedy this, there will be more extensive preparation for Obama before the next showdown — now much higher stakes for Obama — at Hofstra University. Obama will set up debate camp at the end of next week in Williamsburg, Va.

Obama may not be adding more rehearsal time — but as senior adviser David Axelrod says, he’s going to be more strategic about how he uses it.

And on Obama’s debate sparring partner — Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.), who wants to be secretary of state in a second Obama term — with his future in the balance, will he be able to be more aggressive and push back against Obama now that Romney has shown his stuff?

Sources tell me it’s an Indian-themed getaway: Camp Awanaprompter.

Obama blew it at the last debate because he’s defending things that can’t be defended. He lost not because he wasn’t prepared for the debate, but because he wasn’t prepared to be president — and it showed.

The nation eagerly awaits the president using the phrase “this one time, at debate camp…”

“this one time, at debate camp…”

Uh huh… uh huh..!? Well, don't leave us hanging! What was her name? Did ya' see 'em? Did ya' SEE 'em!?

"but as senior adviser David Axelrod says, he’s going to be more strategic about how he uses it." Comedy GOLD folks… comedy gold…

"Obama may not be adding more rehearsal time — but as senior adviser David Axelrod says, he’s going to be more strategic about how he uses it."

I'm guessing Obama is none to thrilled he wont be able to pull all the blankets off the bed to use, along with the hotel room furniture, to build a fort this time around.

Does the debate camp have a golf course?

Not to toot my own horn or anything (ta-daaa!), on 9/21, I wrote the following:

"…Obama without TOTUS is like Joe Biden without the hair-plugs. Romney has been tempered through the fires of a dozen, hard-core, debate melees.

And Obama has had precisely zero debates and, for that matter, hasn't even entertained a serious interview in years. Without practice — and with his increasingly questionable work ethic — I have a prediction to make:

Obama is going to stumble in these debates. He will stumble badly. And he will reveal himself.

Furthermore, when you come right down to it, he's an easy mark. He has a record he must try to defend. And that record is downright ugly. He can blame Bush, Tsunamis, ATMs and the Euro for all of his failures, but if he tries, he'll sound even more like an unpresidential loser than usual.

The combination of being confronted with his failures — one after the other, with no real way to spin or lie without blatantly appearing as a charlatan — along with his documented case of Aggressive Narcissism results in my Lock o' the Week prognostication:

Obama will seriously stumble in these debates. It will be cringe-worthy…"

Don't know how he does it, but w/ (1) incomplete little phrase like that Doug manages to invoke every 80's pulp/fluff coming of age movie made in one fell swoop.

With David Axlerod as Principal Vernon of the Breakfast Club! Camp Awanaprompter; god, someone has to put together a slasher/dark secret trailer together for that.

    directorblue,

Take a bow, seriously. I said he'd be 'bad', I had no IDEA just how bad? It doesn't sound like much now, but there was palpable fear going into this thing. Even among hardened vet's of the blog wars.

Cringe-worthy doesn't go far enough. You'd think it was OBAMA that had been thru all the tough times, daunting scenario and daily drubbings We The People have been thru for the last 4 years? Oh, just an observation but your webpage drops the post after only a few seconds.

Sports camps, band camps, Scout camps, but not many "debate" camps…… I must`a missed `em. Will Barry have time for bead necklace class or the nature hikes ? How `bout campfires with resounding choruses of Kumbahya !?

I wonder if Valerie Jarrett will be there to keep ChoomBama from slipping off into the woods to meet his gang o smokers ? http://hillbuzz.org/daily-doom-antidote-ten-thing
Pay special attention to Item #10 …..

  8. SignPainterGuy on October 5th, 2012 9:40 pm

Regardless of how much Barry trains and rehearses, all the left has is a record of their own failures and lies to throw at Mitt, and Mitt will be even better prepared for debate #2; he`ll refute the false charges again and articulate his policies that WILL work. Barry is gonna go down hard again and maybe even harder than the first time.

I have been semi-seriously predicting that The Greatest Orator of Our Time will skip the 2nd and/or 3rd debate(s) with some excuse of a crisis (with the effort and publicity of the "debate camp", they can`t waste that; he`ll show for #2); well, I`m bettin` on the 3rd one, but no idea yet what the fake / created crisis will be !

    This I gotta' see.

  14. Marshall_Will on October 5th, 2012 11:23 pm

    and Mitt will be even better prepared for debate #2;

You got that right. Heck, you could see the confidence welling up inside him w/ each telling blow he landed. Someone made note that unlike the glory days, His taking precious debate time to make that anniv. announcement went over like a f@rt in church.

Whereas Mitt's witty remark garnered genuine laughs. Now that I think about it, Bama treated it no different than any other speech, only that he'd have to deliver it in 2 min. increments. I too have no issues visualizing a rain check from you know who…

Oh this whole post and comments sections is FUN. I just read everything here. Lots of LOLz to start my day. Thanks for linking my post, SPG!
If Obama wanted to retain any shred of dignity, he's resign now, and cite medical reasons, in fact, that's what he should have done 20 minutes into the whoopin' he got the other night – just quit, and blame ill health, he looks like HELL lately and clearly does have something wrong with him (why do you think his medical records are sealed?), so just use that and leave. His fans would make a martyr of him, but he'd be out of the WH and off to get whatever treatment he needs because the guy is clearly dying. And I have said this since 2008. But he's a malignant narcissistic and will have to be dragged from power instead, however, if he has an aneurism between now and January, know that I called it. He is UNWELL.

Still waiting for the “OBAMA SENT BACK TO CHICAGO” headline on Nov. 7th. To reorganize it and make it look like Detroit.

Oh now this is just too rich. Here is what Daley thinks will help boost Obama's chances:

“People had been set in their ways, with many thinking, ‘Obama is going to win,’” said William Daley, now back in Chicago after serving in the West Wing. “If this is a restart and a second look for those who have been soft, then that puts pressure on [Vice President Joe] Biden in the next big show,” meaning the vice-presidential debate with Rep. Paul Ryan on Oct. 11."

That's right folks. They are counting on Biden to be the crash cart for their campaign next week. Can it get any better than this?
