According to CBS’s Mark Knoller, Obama hasn’t had held a formal press conference since before last season’s NCAA tournament began. But even though the administration might believe it’s way too soon to have another, they’re doing it anyway:
U.S. President Barack Obama will hold a news conference at 1:30 p.m. EST (1830 GMT) on Wednesday, the White House said on Tuesday.
The press conference will be Obama’s first since winning re-election last week. The White House had not previously announced the timing of the event.
Laugh line of the day comes from Politico: Hard questions await Obama at news conference
“Mr. President, a three-pronged question if I may… How’s Bo doing? How marvelous do I think you look? And as a follow-up… what do you think of the new layout of the back nine of the South Course at Andrews?”
Drinking game rules for today’s presser: Do a shot whenever you hear “protocols,” “balanced approach,” and any variation of “until all the facts are known.” Double shot if Obama blames all our problems on the previous administration. See y’all in rehab.
