During the campaign, Joe Biden said that Republicans had voted for a $500 trillion tax cut. Not to be outdone, here’s Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-umb) on how much extra cash was in the public coffers when tax rates were higher during the Clinton administration:

“Remember, we had a $5.6 trillion surplus in 2000 – 2001 from the Clinton administration,” Jackson said in the interview while discussing fiscal cliff negotiations.

However, according to CNN Money, the “Treasury Department reported a budget surplus… of $127 billion” for fiscal year 2001 and a $237 billion surplus for fiscal year 2000.

Jackson Lee is obviously confusing surplus with the national debt, which was $5.6 trillion when Bubba left office. Only in the mind of a lib nutburger can a multi-trillion dollar debt be mistaken for a surplus:

And of course here in Michigan we have several versions of Sheila Jackson Lee. He is one example from the Detroit City Clowncil.

Now it is all starting to make sense. Biden's whole you have to spend more money to avoid bankruptcy, Obama's insitence that we need to run up the debt by $1 trillion plus every year, SJL's comments here and a myraid of others from the Dem's……they are all from an alternate universe where debt = surplus and living within your means = bankruptcy.

I saw that this morning and just shook my head. All these Obama voters still looking for their cut of the "Obama Stash" to this day and not figuring out that there never was and never will be an "Obama Stash" for them. The only ones getting a cut from the "Obama Stash" are those who donated heavily to his campain coffers.

"After the election of Jimmy Carter, the honorable Coleman Alexander Young, he went to Washington, D.C. and came home with some bacon," said Watson. "That's what you do."

What the…? Pretty clear to ME in order to render utterly moot the voters of the balance of MI ( which many of us thought was in play ) O'Drama wink-nodded bigtime boodle that hasn't arrived in the mail!

Believe it or not, it's the very thinking made so prominent during the Housing 'Boom' that's brought us to our knees, not only financially, but as we predicted, politically. Here's a blast from the past:

David Lereah – “If you paid your mortgage off, it means you probably did not manage your funds efficiently over the years. … It's as if you had 500,000 dollar bills stuffed in your mattress.”

Then went on to say, "With interest rates this low you'd be a FOOL not to borrow against your primary home and run out and buy as many homes as you can get your hands on!"

  7. Truesoldier__ on December 5th, 2012 2:11 pm

Yep, that about sums it up. That type of thought process is what gets so many people in trouble.

Opposite World-View Holders must also live in an alternate universe where the laws of math, physics and economics work in mirror fashion. Truth, honesty and common sense apparently don`t exist there !

O/T: Glenn mentioned again this morning that the Brits spend annually about $57.8 Million to support the entire Royal Family and all their homes, castles, travel, ceremonies and such.

WE are forced to spend an astounding $1.4 BILLION annually to fund the Obamas in their lavish lifestyle of parties, travels and vacays !

Is that saving money in the minds of the OW-VHs ?

    I don`t think we`re getting our money`s worth !

I have a bad feeling that $1.4 billion annually will be a bargain now that his majesty has been re-elected and could care less what the masses think of him or his agenda now.

The old saying in the stock market: "Leverage is GREAT when it's working 'for' you ( it's HELL when it cuts against you! )"

And that's what we're hitting up against every day. We're getting hit w/ "margin calls" successively. Like I say, many Boomers will do the math and figure out what they're paying on those homes just ain't worth it!

As the continue to walk away wave after wave, these banks will need another bailout. Of course the same principles apply to the Nat'l Debt. I saw this firsthand during the dot.com implosion, once you fall into margin call, you can't get out. I'd even seen a number of accounts that went "negative equity".

    3. Thought Control

Just me but I think it's a major tactical error for any conservative to cede (1) day out of an assumed 2nd term. Narrowly re-elected under, frankly some of the most puzzling circumstances, Pick-a-Scandal and policies that DEFY us each day to impeach Him don't bode well for longevity.

We need to preface everything w/ "barring further investigation?", until a suitable replacement can be found ( Geithner, Holder etc. ) and so on. Settling in for a conservative's long winters NAP is precisely what this clown is hoping for…

  19. Skip on December 5th, 2012 3:54 pm

Morons like Jackson Lee continue to get re-elected and they just take up space in Washington and play the race card. A true patriot, educated, 25 years veteran of the miliitary and one of a very few who dare to speak out about what Obama and the Democrats are doing to the country…Allen West and he is defeated after one term in Congress.

The entire mindset of the country and after Obama and crew are finished with his last term there will be no way to recover. Just do the best you can by hiding your assets from the government and attempt to live your life in peace.

  20. Truesoldier__ on December 5th, 2012 3:54 pm

I agree, but part of the problem is the current GOP leadership (or lack thereof). Just yesterday Sen Jim DeMint was saying that Boehner's negotations on the "fiscal cliff" do not have the backing of the majority of R's in either the House or the Senate. That the offers he has been pushing would only pass if Boehner gets 100% support of the Dem's and a handful of Boehner GOP loyalists to vote for the garbage.

It is getting so bad that there is talk of the Conservatives in the House refusing to be part of the Republican caucus in the House anymore as they are being shut out of everything by Boehner. If that happens it would create three official caucuses in the House….the Republican, Democrat and Conservative caucus. This would actually trun the gavel back over to Pelosi as the Dem caucus would be larger than the other two. She would be able to put forth the Dem agenda, but would not have the votes to pass anything.

Hear ya on that one!!! Detroit can thank their "lucky stars" and their current situation due to his "outstanding leadership" and sticky fingers. And following the corruption trial of Kwame Kilpatrick it also shows just how pervasive the corruption was, is and continues to in that sh!t hole.

  24. SignPainterGuy on December 5th, 2012 4:17 pm

Wow, how did we miss THAT ? Ninny Nan w/ the gavel back ! Now that`s scary, but your point of not having the votes to pass anything is encouraging.

Note that Barry`s idea of unlimited power for himself has little support even among the dems !

As usual, good for Jim D! We can actually appreciate for a change someone has the brass to say Weepy isn't bargaining in 'good faith' because… he in no way carries the authority to DO so!

And any 3-way inequality that yields Nan a gavel wouldn't carry much weight, as you've noted. In short order the balance would be so slanted toward that conservative "third leg of the stool" Rep's might as well close up shop!

And that's precisely what they're fearing!

Like Mitt, I'm not really convinced Allen was 'defeated'. There were several seats Dim's "had in their crosshairs" like Michelle Bachman who survived but was similarly hung out to dry.

Pelousi said she'd stop at nothing to bring her down. We keep talking in terms of seceding when what we should be doing is asking CA & NY to secede.

  30. Truesoldier__ on December 5th, 2012 4:24 pm

The threat of it alone may actually be a great barganing chip to use against weepy. We all know weepy is about keeping his power, so to threaten to take it away may actually carry some weight, especially coming from those who would actually carry through with the threat (i.e. Michelle Bachman, Louis Gommer, etc).

Jim DeMint also expressed his concern over what appears to be retalation against some Conservatives by not toeing the party line. A few Conservatives were recently booted off of their committee's for what appears to be their public disagreance with Boehner's negotitations. Looks like Boehner is sending a message, but it is having the opposite effect.

  31. Truesoldier__ on December 5th, 2012 4:25 pm

The other upside to this is that it would allow Pelosi to put forward the Obama/Pelosi/Reid agenda without actually being able to pass it. This puts the whole thing on display for the American public to see (if they choose to that is).

Of course the media would portray it as obstructionism by Conservatives, but we already get that from the media anyway.

  32. Truesoldier__ on December 5th, 2012 4:29 pm

Agreed. There were some serious shenanigans going on with the vote counting. Like running certain precintcs votes through the machine twice, the elections director counting votes by herself behind locked doors (which is against state law) and dragging her feet when told to recount all the votes so the process would not be completed in time for the certification.

Don't worry. Allen West will be back and there is talk of him running for the Senate next go around.

  33. SignPainterGuy on December 5th, 2012 4:31 pm

Good catch; good post. Encouraging. A little scary, but I think this is a good path to take and well worth whatever pain it causes !

  34. SignPainterGuy on December 5th, 2012 4:34 pm

    A possible 2016 ticket; West / DeMint ? Either order. ?

  35. Truesoldier__ on December 5th, 2012 4:45 pm

That would be awesome. The one thing that needs to happen between now and 2016 is to break the media stranglehold of the narrative. It can be done and far easier than alot believe possible. The biggest problem we have right now on the communication front is allowing teh media to steer the conversation to the questions they want to ask. Best thing to do would be to ignore their questions and talk about what we believe, our ideas and our plans. If the media asks a when did you stop beating your wife type question, answer with a plan on how to put people back to work.

Another thing I would love to see happen is some Conservative groups dig up dirt on the media personalities. Then when they go on the air and the media tries to change the topic or asks a "when did you stop beating your wife question" the Conservative should just whip out the photos or info and ask the media personality if they would like to explain the photos or the dirt from their past to the viewers. Turn about is fair play.

  36. Truesoldier__ on December 5th, 2012 4:47 pm

The way I see it, at this point it may even cause less pain then what we are getting with the leadership of Boehner and McConnell and has the potential to turn things around for the better in the long haul.

O/T..but interesting. Appeals court signals that it may find that Obama Labor Board appointments were not legit. They even went as far as saying why is the court involved, pointing out that it should be up to the Senate to decide whether or not they were truly in recess.

Excellent across the board. As I've posted over the last few weeks there's things going on at "Goodwill" that absolutely command our attention. One source tells us that ( as a 'charity' ) they are not bound by Min. Wage Laws and often employees are ex-cons there as part of their "work release program" by order of the Judge, that just so happens to own the group home they're ordered to STAY at!

There's numerous other interesting coincidences but what makes all this so interesting? Hope Salazar serves on the Board for CO's Goodwill. Wife of that.., Loathsome Cowboy KEN… Salazar?

I reeks to high heaven. Sure could use a few extra eyes on this one.

I laugh at these kinds of comparisons.

  41. jeffythequick on December 5th, 2012 5:37 pm

Not if Boehner had any patriotism left.

It's a pretty easy fix for him: Do nothing that does not reduce the debt and deficit. No debt ceiling raise on promises of cutting later, no tax hikes, in fact, he should flip it around, and say, "Mr. President, We'll talk about tax hikes next year, but we need at least a 40%* across the board spending cuts now."

*That would balance the budget is a hurry.

  42. Truesoldier__ on December 5th, 2012 5:46 pm

Sounds like a "pilot program" for what is to come when/if Obama succeeds in fundementally transforming America.

As for Hope Salazar, she is the wife of Ken Salazar (according to the DOI website bio).

I also found that Hope Salazar is on the board of directors of Arc thrift stores. Not sure if they are affiliated with Goodwill or not. On that board is also a retired member of Vocational Rehabilitation, State of Colorado (i.e. work release type programs).

The source I read scored like the plot to one of those cheap spaghetti westerns where they round up innocents/drunks and then force them to work in the MINES?

Yes, they're affiliated and from what I'm showing, she sits on both. Here's what I'm thinking, send out your basic Steven Crowder/Jessie Waters type vid-journalists and see if we can get some of these employees to speak on camera. Or OFF?

If even a shred of this is valid, we could turn the heat up on Rope'n & Ridin' Ken. This is afterall how the Left operates daily. It all started out innocently enough, over the years Mrs. W and I gave generously to GW and only recently stumbled on these revelations. They burn HUGE amounts on lobbying. More than WALMART. Why?
