At the rate the country is being sold out right from underneath us, spent into oblivion and handing over its sovereignty, I think 2030 is an under-aggressive estimate:

A new report by the intelligence community projects that the United States will no longer be the world’s only superpower by 2030.

“In terms of the indices of overall power – GDP, population size, military spending and technological investment – Asia will surpass North America and Europe combined,” the report concludes.

“Global Trends 2030: Alternative Worlds” — prepared by the office of the National Intelligence Council of the Office of the Director of National Intelligence — projects that the “unipolar” world that emerged after the fall of the Soviet Union will not continue.

“With the rapid rise of other countries, the ‘unipolar moment’ is over and no country – whether the U.S., China, or any other country – will be a hegemonic power,” the report argues.

“The United States’ relative economic decline vis-a-vis the rising states is inevitable and already occurring, but its future role in the international system is much harder to assess,” it argues.

“Global Trends” projects that the United States will retain a unique role in the international system — in part because of its history and past leadership.

2030? If it hasn’t happened by the end of Obama’s 2nd term he’ll probably consider it a stain on his legacy. The United States being the world’s only superpower just… isn’tfair!

"At the rate the country is being sold out right from underneath us, spent into oblivion and handing over its sovereignty, I think 2030 is an under-aggressive estimate"

Agreed. Especially in light of the aggressive "shopping" plan the Chinese have:

    Another day another admistration cover-up:

It's as if NMP ( Not My pResident ) ran out, got a copy of George Freidman's "The Next Hundred Years" and… actively sought to turn its every finding on its EAR?

One of our natural, geographic advantages is we're surrounded by (2) huge oceans and have always mustered a powerful Navy. No probalo, this defunding DOD stuff is such a snap!

What are these adolescent Regressive THINKING? Once we lose the upper hand militarily, what makes them believe we'd have any 'say' in how the pie is cut up in the future? We'll lose any leverage we might have had.

Oh and the Twitchy link to Sheriff Blowhole getting soundly boo'd at the Army-Navy game is just more PROOF this election was rigged. I understand it was a constant JEER ( with pitch moments ) throughout the game.

  4. backwoodsconsr on December 10th, 2012 7:21 pm

Sole? I thought the purpose of electing a black president was to become the world's Soul Superpower.

  5. SignPainterGuy on December 10th, 2012 9:44 pm

You`re thinking entirely too "white and conservative". America has a lot of shame and payback to suffer for !

  6. backwoodsconsr on December 10th, 2012 9:48 pm

But I shouldn't have to suffer any of the shame and payback. The shame belongs to the people who voted for Obama.

  7. SignPainterGuy on December 10th, 2012 10:21 pm

Nor should the rest of us, but that is the thinking of the OWVHolder.

  8. Marshall_Will on December 10th, 2012 10:46 pm

Then DON'T! That's 'my' attitude anyway? We'll figure ways around this @zz clown and endless sycophant mandates. Heck, it'll probably become an entire cottage, if not legit *sector* of the economy:

O'Drama Evasion Specialist! Sheltering assets ( starting w/ our 401K's ) will be aired in commercials as often as mortgage/debt relief commercials today. It's easy to see even middle class folks will need help in maintaining what's LEFT.

Had a thought, of course, the Left gets away w/ anarchistic approaches everyday, from "performance artists" in lobbies of banks to organizing "national mortgage strikes" but.., what if there were a FLOOD of new corp. filings, ALL of which fall into O'Scare? We could create a haystack for them to go diving for needles! Just a thought..?

    I just saw this:

US sending 20 more F-16s to Egypt, despite turmoil in Cairo

  10. Marshall_Will on December 11th, 2012 2:08 pm

"The U.S.-Egypt defense relationship has served as the cornerstone of our broader strategic partnership for over thirty years," said Lt. Col. Wesley Miller. ( And… for 30 years, that was TRUE! ) Wake up dude.

"The delivery of the first set of F-16s in January 2013 reflects the U.S. commitment to supporting the Egyptian military's modernization efforts."

To think, I got in trouble for issuing out a mop bucket without the proper forms?

  11. Truesoldier__ on December 11th, 2012 2:17 pm

Reflects the commitment to modernize the Epyptian military. Let me guess, this way Morsi can put down any uprising of non-islamists in record time. Or for that matter, use the non-islamists as "weapons training targets" so they are sighted in before going into Israel.

  12. SignPainterGuy on December 11th, 2012 2:31 pm

Another instance of treason by the O`Stration; arming our enemies. Egypt "wasn`t", but now IS our enemy with the takeover by the Muslim Brotherhood.

  13. Truesoldier__ on December 11th, 2012 2:34 pm

Just goes to show just how far Obama is willing to go to "prove" that his ME policies are working.

TS, A couple weeks ago, you mentioned having a wooden rack built for something useful; had it done and in use in a few hours, but the wizards of smart found out about it and forced a steel unit built in only a few weeks. A few days later I watched an episode of "Mega Builders" with the goofy architectguy who gets in everybody`s way showing things great being built. This show was covering an American warship under construction and of course included a large barge with multi levels. The way up to a second level was via a "wooden" ladder obviously built by the crew. Maybe ladders fall under a different set of rules, but it looked uncomfortable to me and not up to par. I thought of your tale and wondered how they got by with it !

I guess since you and your barge were military and this one and crew were private and unionized made all the difference !

  15. SignPainterGuy on December 11th, 2012 2:49 pm

Like Emmelt saying that com-mun-ism works. Stupid !

Zero is funding and arming the rebels in Syria and the new gov. in Egypt. That sounds illegal to me and definitely a huge problem and threat to Israel !

  16. SignPainterGuy on December 11th, 2012 2:57 pm

I had to laugh at Joe getting BOOed and thought, "No, No, guys, my Son`s name is BO ! But he couldn`t be here. Really, this is no joke !"

  17. Truesoldier__ on December 11th, 2012 2:59 pm

    O/T..but awesome news!

We now have some hope in WA ST. The State Senate is now under Republican control. Two Senate Dems have defected and are now caucusing with the GOP which gives the GOP a 25-24 majority and control.

  18. Truesoldier__ on December 11th, 2012 3:11 pm

I laughed about it as well. It sounded like the Army-Navy rivalry was put to rest as they both joined in against a common enemy.

    Joe Biden….the peacemaker.

  19. jeffythequick on December 11th, 2012 3:13 pm

  20. SignPainterGuy on December 11th, 2012 3:13 pm

INCONCEIVABLE !! I thought only republicans defected to the other side !

Good luck. I hope firm spines are present in your new republican majority !

Oh c'mon all you Malkinites! This was an agreement reached over two years ago. Are you guys reading comprehension challenged? Not everything is a 'conspiracy' against you/The West/Christianity/Judaism. Geez…

And think, in light of Sequest/Castration all the Guard Units that would KILL to get their hands on (2) let alone 20 4th GENERATION Avionics package state of the art, multi-role aircraft!

We are in the political fight of our lives to pick like 10. May…be? The Guard's hit will be $1.54 B but we're gonna' act like money is not object to impress the MB? Only in Obamaland….

  23. SignPainterGuy on December 11th, 2012 3:18 pm

    You "channel" well ! ;-)

Even Chappy would see this for what it is ! (whether he`d verbalize it or not)

  24. Truesoldier__ on December 11th, 2012 3:20 pm

And there is more out of Afghanistan as well. Blackfive has a story about a new "Afghan Tolerance" manual in the works. Here is just some of the topics US Servicemembers are being told to avoid as it may upset the Afghanis:

The draft handbook offers a list of "taboo conversation topics" that soldiers should avoid, including "making derogatory comments about the Taliban," "advocating women's rights," "any criticism of pedophilia," "directing any criticism towards Afghans," "mentioning homosexuality and homosexual conduct" or "anything related to Islam."

  25. SignPainterGuy on December 11th, 2012 3:20 pm

    Clueless Joe !

  26. SignPainterGuy on December 11th, 2012 3:24 pm

Can they talk about soccer / football ?

  27. Truesoldier__ on December 11th, 2012 3:25 pm

And that is huge when you consider all the things that Inslee and company were proposing in the way of new fees (call them fees to avoid the 2/3 tax requirement). Remember, here in WA ST they are required by the State Constitution to balance the budget. If they cannot balance the budget then automatic 10% across the board cuts go into effect (which effect the libs far more than Conservatives).

  28. Truesoldier__ on December 11th, 2012 3:32 pm

Makes you wonder whose budget these 20 aircraft are coming out of.

Also makes you wonder what will be said in the MSM when Morsi and the MB turn these 20 aircraft and all the other arms they are getting in this "modernization effort" on their own people. My guess is it will be wall to wall Lindsay Lohan escapades on all the news outlets.

  29. Truesoldier__ on December 11th, 2012 3:35 pm

Yes, but only if they promise to admit that the Afghani Soccer/Football team is far superior to the US and give their Afghani couterparts a "good game" pat after they are done discussing the sport.

O/T; some more awesome news; MI House passes Right-to-Work bill this morning covering public sector and it and the private sector bill passed last week will both go to Guv. Snyder who is expected to sign them both today !

    Good for you, Michigan !

This kind of leg. puts unions into the position of having to sell the benefits of unionization. It will be a hard sell once people realize the freedom of not having to pay dues to union officials !

  31. Truesoldier__ on December 11th, 2012 3:53 pm

They way I see it is if it can be done in Michigan it can be done pretty much anywhere. I'm guessing the union is really kicking themselves for prop 2 this past November where they tried to enshrine collective bargaining into the state constitution.

Also, I thought it was pretty dumb of the teachers unions to stage "sick outs" so they could go protest at the Capital. Seems to me that just shows parents exactly why these types of reforms are needed.

  32. SignPainterGuy on December 11th, 2012 4:01 pm

My Dad told me about how "Pravda" used to spin things in favor of the Soviets back before the Wall fell.

The Americans and Soviets agreed to a secret competition. They would each design and build a race car and then have a race to decide whose country had the best tech. and teamwork.

The big day finally came, the two country`s teams fielded their cars and as we`d expect, the American car won by the country mile. The Americans returned home and never mentioned it. The Soviets couldn`t stand it, so PRAVDA released a short story in their Science & Technology publication. The story went something like this:

"The Americans and Soviets participated in an International Competition to build and then race their own cars. It was glorious ! As expected, Soviet technology proved once again to be superior as they finished second. The inferior American team could manage to finish no better than next to last !"

Sometimes even the truth can be total BS !

Hey, the Pope`s now on Twitter !

  34. Marshall_Will on December 11th, 2012 4:05 pm

We've all heard enough of that to last a lifetime. Just thought it was too obvious not to rake over the coals. No doubt Soledad O'Brian will argue same.

"But isn't it true Senator ____ these were arms agreements reached even prior too..?" Pant, pant, sniff-sniff, rollover, get treat.

  35. SignPainterGuy on December 11th, 2012 4:07 pm

I really wish them well. Unionistas are PISSED ! Hearing it on the news now.

It`s gonna be ugly for a while, but after folks get a chance to work without being forced into a union, they may just realize they like it ! NOW, if someone will prosecute union thuggery, things can roll along just fine !

  37. Marshall_Will on December 11th, 2012 4:11 pm

That was my thought. As welcome as this might be ( even from "Washington's Mexico" ) still not a fan. More times than not this has cut against us and even without changing parties like Scott ( 1/2 Term & Out! ) Brown. As per TS's observation, it didn't take long for the County Envy to sink in:

    12/10/2012 1:25 PM PST
If we're lucky, they'll cut tax subsidies from the Blue Counties to the inefficient tax-subsidized Red Counties.

Enshrine? I was going w/ memoralize but whatever!

Signs Obama didn't really 'win' abound. Was there a Doctor inda' house to sign Sick Slips?

  39. Truesoldier__ on December 11th, 2012 4:21 pm

What I would really love to see is after the law takes effect how many of these "protestors" will ditch their union dues in favor of more money in their pockets.

  40. Marshall_Will on December 11th, 2012 4:44 pm

    Aw…, GOOD journo-tool! Goooood journo-tool…

I've had that damned shop scrubbed, sanitized and disinfected! for "visiting fact finding teams" more times than I can shake a stick at! We're in a dogfight to keep a "U.S!" base viable but..?

And the aircr@p themselves are just PART of the 'aid' package I'm sure. These aren't tube radios and magnetic compasses okay? The pilot is just there "to feed the monkey".
