Those darn violent Tea Partiers are at it again! Oh, wait:

A Wisconsin activist was arrested Tuesday at the state Capitol building just hours before Governor Scott Walker was to deliver his State of the State Address to Wisconsin lawmakers.

The man, Kvon R. Smith, had reportedly used Facebook to threaten to do harm at the Capitol. Law enforcement was ready for him and arrested him as he attempted to enter the building. Smith then reportedly claimed to have a Molotov cocktail in his backpack. Police evacuated portions of the capitol building and a bomb squad reportedly arrived and handled the backpack. Police did not say whether or not the backpack contained the explosive device the man allegedly claimed it did.

A search of the man’s apparent Twitter account reveals deep sympathies for Palestinians, support for other liberal and far-left causes, and claims of previous felony charges. Smith has also expressed support for the newest leftist movement, which previous Occupy supporters are beginning to flock to, named “Idle No More.” Less than 24 hours before being arrested, Smith stated on Facebook: “I’m in support of the Idle No More Movement.”

Ban Molotov cocktails!

I haven’t heard the MSM talking up that story at all — big surprise I know. A Google search brings up only mentions at, The Blaze and The Daily Caller. If the affiliations were reversed we wouldn’t be hearing the end of it on every mainstream media outlet.

@BarackObama my president, Mr. Barack. I sent a couple e-mails to the White House abt a variety of discriminations here in WI 3Dec12 no rply

No wonder. Remember, If you 'see' something SAY something..!

  2. Truesoldier__ on January 17th, 2013 3:11 pm

"Idle no more" – sounds like this guy was going to take that movement at its face value.

  3. Truesoldier__ on January 17th, 2013 3:12 pm

Speaking of discriminations and WI, did you see this WI high school class?

  4. Truesoldier__ on January 17th, 2013 3:14 pm

O/T…Yesterday AQ took hostages in Mali. Here is something that you may not remember in regards to Mali (I know I didn't):

Mitt Romney Knew About The Brewing Mali Conflict Before You Did
The Republican was mocked for bringing it up during a debate.

Of course one of the people mocking Romney over Mali was none other than Bill Mahr…..

  5. Truesoldier__ on January 17th, 2013 3:15 pm

Hey Doug. The reason that the MSM didn't reprot on this is that they are too busy in class right now:

Pro-Obamacare group sponsoring symposium to train journalists how to report on Obamacare

  6. Marshall_Will on January 17th, 2013 3:46 pm

"At the time of the debate, Romney was receiving intelligence briefings from administration officials, a tradition for the presidential nominees that begins after their nominating conventions."

TS, in order to be abreast of Intel Briefings ( it's usually best if one actually *attends* them ) And I'm waiting for the MSM to call out Pig Maher in 3… 2…

  7. Truesoldier__ on January 17th, 2013 3:51 pm

But Obama didn't need to attend intel breifings…remember he killed OBL so AQ is on the run and unicorns are frolicking in thei fields while children hold hands in a gun free zone and sing kumbya…./sarc

Not to mention it would have cut into his golf time and I hear he has just about fixed his slice…..

As for the media, they will report on it just as soon as they are done with their Obamacare redeucation training.

No (Social ) Justice No Peace! man…

Found it disturbing that Tweet found its way on up -directly- to Prezzy Fiss'bump but no one bothered to check it out? MM's threatening tweets are measured on a Hate Tweet Per Hour metric and are never followed up on. That part we get.

Breitbart's posting of Kvon's T-feed clearly shows a pattern of escalating and alarming rhetoric. But don't worry, Prezzy EO is all OVER it..!

  9. Truesoldier__ on January 17th, 2013 3:59 pm

Im sure he has Eric (With)Holder and the (Social) Justice Dept on top of it as we speak.

"the Commonwealth Fund is sponsoring a two-day symposium, hosted by the Society of American Business Editors and Writers (SABEW) entitled “The Business of Health Care” **at Reuters headquarters in New York City**."

Sheesh, no conflict there? Your link had a trackback imbedded that MM covered this back in July, 2010. Surprise, surprise…

  11. Truesoldier__ on January 17th, 2013 4:03 pm

Yep and the conflict is getting deeper by the looks of it, not to mention it just shows how far the media is willing to go to cheerlead for this administration. But remember, there is no media bias (I cant even type that with a straight face).

  12. Doug on January 17th, 2013 4:04 pm

They won't stop until all school classes are like being stuck in an elevator with Van Jones.

  13. Doug on January 17th, 2013 4:06 pm

Well that explains it! I'm sure otherwise they'd have been on the story!

I might go over to Michelle's site in a while and mock that story.

  14. Marshall_Will on January 17th, 2013 4:49 pm

The SABEW would appreciate that. The Daily Caller link was inaccurate by referring to MM as a "reporter" when we all know she's a Just-a-blogger, so correction is in order!

Sheesh, when it's the Sun Times or Trib coaching rookie reporters over yet another dour Cub's 54-110 season, we GET it..?

  15. SignPainterGuy on January 17th, 2013 5:44 pm

Fascinating that there are enough Reuters reporters to go `round for additional training; they have just announced major layoffs.

  16. jeffythequick on January 17th, 2013 6:28 pm

Boy… things got interesting here at work, so I might not be posting as much…

O/T: Republicans (or, as they are known, the "We're not as calm-you-nist as the Democrats" are planning a re-birth:

Here's a crazy thought: You know those Tea-Partiers that gave you control of the House? How about you keep them, and let the others go to the Progressive…err…Democrat party, and at least have a two party system, and not a 1.25 party one.

  17. Truesoldier__ on January 17th, 2013 6:41 pm

You got that right. The story cites a Clinotnista as the pollster who says the GOP is out of touch with the mainstream. First of all, there was no info on the poll as to breakdown or what was even asked. Then the article cites as more proof two recent bills that were only passed with almost unanimous Dem support and a handful of R's as proof they are outside the mainstream. All that proves is that many of the House R's don't want to be lumped in with the Dem's.

I think your idea is much better, cut the progs out of the GOP and give the reigns to the Tea Party. Speaking of that, A RP supporter is challenging the current GOP chainman in the RNC election. Though I do not agree with a lot of the RP platform when it comes to foreign policy, I do agree with his fiscal platform and believe that this could actually help having someone far more Conservative in charge at the RNC.

    Interesting Idea !

Maybe it's time to get off the Dreamliner plane and board the Dreamweaver train.

  21. Truesoldier__ on January 17th, 2013 9:21 pm

Here is something kidna funny. It seems that in the haste to pass sweeping gun control laws in NY they forgot to exempt police officers from the law. So if they do not fix it between know and March when the law becomes active, police officers would not be able to have more than 7 rounds in their magazines. This statement says it all:

State Senator Eric Adams, a former NYPD Captain, told us he's going to push for an amendment next week to exempt police officers from the high-capacity magazine ban. In his words, "You can't give more ammo to the criminals"

Also worth noting in the story was this tidbit about the possible exemptions:

Within the last hour, the Patrolman's Benevolent Association President released a statement saying, "The PBA is actively working to enact changes to this law that will provide the appropriate exemptions from the law for active and retired law enforcement officers."

So now retired police officers would be treated differently than retired military or even the average citizen on the street.

  22. SignPainterGuy on January 17th, 2013 9:33 pm

Since the military is predominately conservative / republican, they are considered possible threats to nat`l security and must be marginalized and disarmed AMAP ! The military is trained to kill = BAD; police are trained to defend / protect = GOOD. There`s the difference in the eyes of the braindead libs ! Notice that it is only the police who want retired cops to have the exemptions ! Once retired, many libs consider them no different than reg. folks and not to be trusted.

Daniel Hannan, the Brit. MP was interviewed and asked if he thought with the rise in violence in the UK, should cops be allowed to carry guns ? He replied, "NO ! He did not want the cops to have that kind of unfair advantage over reg. folks !" He apparently doesn`t trust cops. As much as I admire him otherwise, he`s out-to-lunch on the gun issues.

  23. Truesoldier__ on January 17th, 2013 10:07 pm

So very true. In the eyes of the liberals if they just pass laws to outlaw guns completly it would mean no one would have a gun at all and the world would be a better place.

Of course this is nonsense as the very definition of a criminal is someone who does not obey the laws in the first place, but let's pretend for a minute that the liberal way worked and all guns were gone. It wouldn't stop murders as killers would just change the weapon to a knife, baseball bat, sticks, fists, etc. This is what liberals just cannot seem to grasp. It is not the object that is used it is the individual who chooses to use it.

  24. Marshall_Will on January 17th, 2013 10:14 pm

Oh GAWD… What in the heck does a 'retired' damned COP need w/ an exemption? We can't get them to do anything when they're ON the active payroll. More elitist bullcr@p.

And because the NYPD PBA *means* so much to the rest of the country…

  25. Marshall_Will on January 17th, 2013 10:26 pm

Yuh.., LOVE the armchair quarterbacking from your very best frenemies. Just what we need, a beauty contest judged, solely by Sum' Pollster..!

  26. Truesoldier__ on January 17th, 2013 11:43 pm

They need the exemption so they can be an armed night watchman when they realize that their union pissed away their pension.

  27. SignPainterGuy on January 18th, 2013 12:56 am

Great point ! And to think, they probably fought really hard in support of the union their whole career !

  28. Marshall_Will on January 18th, 2013 3:04 am

Generally speaking, Housing/Econ Bloggers theory was fully PEU's understood their lavish pensions were unsustainable. It's pretty simple math, Return On Investment, Cash Flows, Actuarial Tables ( longevity etc. )

They also grasped those unfunded liabilities would Crash The System. Tell us something we DON'T know right? The theory went on to speculate that *when* it crashed, they'd be on TOP!

Kind of like when we were kids and the cheerleaders formed a human pyramid. Sucks to be on the bottom ( private sector ) All told, only a solution that involves equal parity for protections of private plans suffices. Any thing less and we're selling out. That's the starting point for the 'discussion'.

  29. the Zoo Keeper on January 18th, 2013 2:14 pm

"Outta Mom's Basement" didn't have quite the same gravitas.

  30. Granny55 on January 18th, 2013 2:59 pm

And the outgoing Labor Secretary Hilda Solis is now blaming the Tea Party for the high unemployment numbers under O-Zero! I just love the way they make sh!t up and the press just runs with it.

  31. Marshall_Will on January 18th, 2013 3:21 pm

Fo' realz? Wow, that's an explanation I've just GOT to hear? Let me guess, had we all just gotten the heck out of the way and let Sheriff Joe and the Federal Reserve PRINT $'s 24/7 365 there'd be some sort of broken window economics hiring spree?

  32. SignPainterGuy on January 18th, 2013 3:45 pm

Well followed ! However, the non-union window glaziers would have been kept away by the United Window Glaziers Union Int`l / AFL-CIO.

I saw yesterday that unions were successful in banning non-union workers / contractors from being involved in the post-Sandy cleanup / restoration process.

  33. Truesoldier__ on January 18th, 2013 3:59 pm

And it isn't just the Labor Dept who is going after the Tea Party. West Point's terrorism studies department is out with a new study painting limited government groups as terrorists. This is being done two-fold. One, to try to push Conservatism out of the military and to add credence to the DHS report about the dangers of "right wing groups". Add that to the EO of Obama to go over a list of groups who are "too dangerous to own weapons" and you can see where this is headed.

  34. SignPainterGuy on January 18th, 2013 4:36 pm

Fascinating isn`t it that the report warns of "violent" far-right groups and anti-"federalist" groups ? Makes you wonder about their understanding of "federalist" ! Of course, it`s totally diversionary to call attention to the far right by calling them / us "violent" when it is the left who is dangerous and violent.

  35. Marshall_Will on January 18th, 2013 5:28 pm

Well, I wish them LUCK. Many of those cadets are legacy and go back generations. Heck, their PARENTS are likely TP members. The quota hires will eat it up tho'.

  36. Granny55 on January 19th, 2013 12:19 pm

And to make it bite even more…..using taxpayer money!. So the unions are now running the show using money from US taxpayers.

  37. IrateNate on January 19th, 2013 2:38 pm

A typical knee-jerk reaction, Doug, as a blanket ban of "Molotov cocktails" reeks of socialism. Perhaps a more fair and balanced approach would involve legislation proposed by Mayor Bloomberg restricting only explosive liquids over 16 ounces.

We should apply "common sense" legislation, as proposed by Mr. Obama, and consider a ban on cartons capable of holding more than 5 Molotov cocktails.

I know this seemingly random number of five might unintentionally include the plastic "six-pack" rings so popular with law abiding terrorists. But, if this will save just one child, we have to try.

  38. ChapBix on January 22nd, 2013 2:11 am

They are using the bible of the Marxists/communists: Saul Alinsky's "Rules for Radicals". Why would we expect any different?

The book`s pages must be frayed n dog-eared, soaked in tater chip grease and all scribbled in the margins by now !
