Before any more gun laws are passed, first we need to implement a little “stupid control,” because the idiocy problem has gotten out of hand:

Comedian Chris Rock showed up on Capitol Hill today to support President Barack Obama’s gun control proposals. Here is what he said during the morning press conference:

ROCK: I am just here to support the President of the United States. President of the United States is our boss, but he is also… you know, the President and the First Lady are kinda like the Mom and the Dad of the country. And when your Dad says something you listen, and when you don’t it will usually bite you on the ass later on. So, I’m here to support the President.

1) If Rock thinks the president is the “boss” of the people he needs to read the Constitution, and 2) While he’s doing that he should pay special attention to the Second Amendment.

Did Rock remind everybody that the president is our boss, father figure and must be obeyed when Bush was in office? I must have missed that.

Rock’s funniest joke ever?

Then there’s singer Tony Bennett, who at the same gathering at the U.S. Capitol said that “US gun violence is like the Nazis and the rest of the world will invade and destroy us.”

Time to take your medication, Tony.

This is the same so called comedian who did a skit on SNL saying that if Colin Powell were to become vice president, he (Rock) would shoot the white president. I only wish that stupidity could be eliminated, because I get tired of having to deal with it.

"Tony Bennett, who at the same gathering at the U.S. Capitol said that “US gun violence is like the Nazis and the rest of the world will invade and destroy us.”

If Obama gets his way and disarms the public we may just see the later part of this statement come true.

  3. Doug on February 6th, 2013 4:11 pm

Yeah, and Tony's kind of got it backwards there. The only way to keep the rest of the world from invading us is to completely disarm?

I wonder if "pacifist" Tony has a concealed carry permit.

  4. Truesoldier__ on February 6th, 2013 4:22 pm

Well we've always believed that liberals live in opposite land, this statement just goes to reinforce that belief.

  5. backwoodsconsr on February 6th, 2013 4:24 pm

Exactly. If we stop fighting everybody else will too. It all ties in with the stupidity and the smoking pot or whatever else keeps liberals at peace with their delusions.

  6. Truesoldier__ on February 6th, 2013 4:26 pm

Last time I checked Chris, "Mom" and "Dad" don't take out credit cards in their "children's" names, max them out and keep calling the bank to get the limit increased so as to continue the spening spreee while sidling their "children" with a debt they will never be able to pay back.

And in the latest edition of the WH Crony Capitalism Chronicles…..

Obama crony wins contract to give away Obamaphones:

  8. SignPainterGuy on February 6th, 2013 4:45 pm

So taxpayers are saddled not only with the costs of the phones, but also the costs of distributing them ?

Without reading the story, can I assume that the crony co. is unionized ? I can already take it for granted that the phones are manufactured in China !

If we were in stupidity court, where the defense goes first, and I were the prosecution, after Tony and Chris were done presenting their case, I'd simply say:

The defense has made our case. We rest.

Chris is dumb as a Rock.

  11. @ThePrimeDir on February 6th, 2013 7:15 pm

It's time to declare Chris Rock brain dead and pull the plug on his life support. Don't patronize his products; don't finance this lunatic. Yes, I said "lunatic" specifically because the feds ban that word (it's my First Amendment right).

"I only wish that stupidity could be eliminated"

You know the drill… CAN'T CURE STUPID.

But here's what grinds my gears – I read an article about the education and experience level of these Libtard Hollywood creeps who keep telling us how to think and what to do. The arrogant ass at hand – Chris Rock? High school dropout – Fast food worker – Stand up comic. Now expert on national policy, ya right. Or not.

How 'bout Chavez' BFF Sean Penn? One year Auto-Mechanics major. DROPPED OUT.

Cher? Heh. Take a wild guess. Waitress/nightclubs till Sonny poped up.

Paris Hilton? Bwaaaaaaaahahaha. Well, she did go back for a GED – Bless 'er heart.

Truth be told – can't find one of these cretin who earned a real degree or ever had a real job. It's less their ignorance than the monumental arrogance and pretense that gets me weary. And angry. Bunch of Jerks.

Right, let Pollak an Carlos Slim pick up the tab for this bunk. Several objective observers have said there's very little these dinky phones can offer in terms of "job search skills"?

So these people are supposedly 'adults' that need help w/ rudimentary tasks like filling out a job app. or doing a resume`. Aren't those BASICS they should have learned during the 12+ years the public education system had them?

  14. Marshall_Will on February 6th, 2013 9:38 pm

WOT but the new tv series "The Americans" on Fox is something else! There were a few s_xual ref's I thought were improper for that early an hour but the script, concept and execution are all top notch.

If you liked the 80's and miss th cold war ( vice the one we're fighting NOW ) this is almost refreshing.

    :-)

  16. SignPainterGuy on February 6th, 2013 11:29 pm

Had they paid attention in grade school, they`d have been able to read and follow instructions well enough to fill out a job app. Now, writing a resume takes a little creativity in accentuating your talents in an interesting way, knowing what`s relevant – what to leave out, so some instruction and practice may well be necessary, but it doesn`t require all the expense and effort of these gooberment programs !

What I`m sayin` is, Phones for Bums is nothing more than vote buying !

I watched the pilot episode in rerun (1st time for me) last night and thought it worth a second look; lots of intrigue and tension, inside and out of the "family". It`s on at 10: et here, so the rest of the country gets it too early for young eyes n ears. Sorry ! The same for "Necessary Roughness", on at the same time. I`ll catch it in rerun at midnight or 1:am on USA Network.

  18. SignPainterGuy on February 6th, 2013 11:49 pm

"Can`t Cure Stupid" ! With their level of stoopiditity, it`s as though they actively sought after it ! The arrogance must come as a bonus !

  19. SignPainterGuy on February 6th, 2013 11:53 pm

Chris "Dumb as a" Rock …….

  20. SignPainterGuy on February 7th, 2013 12:50 am

    Is tonight`s "The Americans" episode 2 ?

  21. SignPainterGuy on February 7th, 2013 1:27 am

The first illustration I`ve seen of Jawn F`n Kerry, the new SoS, filling Hill`s heels: http://townhall.com/political-cartoons/2013/02/06

I usually think of NinnyNan P. under that house, but this works.

  22. Marshall_Will on February 7th, 2013 3:04 am

True, but by the same token, no one can expect to have a ghost writer act as their permanent stand in. Sooner or later your employer is going to figure out your entire resume was nothing more than a plagiarized fabrication.

As are their math, science and reasoning skills. Spot on call about P's for B's though. Another play right out of the Marcos Corruption playbook.

  23. Marshall_Will on February 7th, 2013 4:43 am

Yes, pretty fast paced I thought. Kind of incredible how low-tech everything from that era still was. As young sailors we were constantly being briefed on how Soviets worked their mark and I was always impressed by how much acting/psych manipulation was involved.

These days all these schmucks in our 'intel' community think they can sit behind a desk and simply manipulate technology and "mine data", use "predictive" data and generally play w/ themselves while telling everyone how smart they are?

Pretty bold risk on the network's part. It's set in ancient history and has no special effects? Today O'Drama acolytes want to do is launch drones and snoop on people.

  24. SignPainterGuy on February 7th, 2013 1:09 pm

This may turn into a really good show, as you say – fast paced and low tech (reel to reel tape recorder, telescoping antennae, 10 channel scanner), smooth acting while the FBI sniffs their heels. It`s gonna have some great twists or turn stupid and burn out fast.

Living in America where "the lights stay on all the time and the food is pretty good" and the wife (Kerry Russel) still believes in socialism; sound familiar ?

  25. SignPainterGuy on February 7th, 2013 4:24 pm

Bold indeed ! It sounds so much like today`s liberal / progressives hating capitalism, Reagan, missile defense.

DOUG, I lost a comment to correct spelling. OOPS !
Can you please find it ? Thanks !

  26. SignPainterGuy on February 7th, 2013 9:40 pm

Thank You, Doug for the retrieval !

  27. Doug on February 7th, 2013 9:49 pm

No problem! I've been trying to remember to check the cue a little more often these days.

Chris Rock – a special kind of stupid…
