You just knew this was coming. Somebody has to pay for the Creator’s biological negligence and unfairness:

The state of California is reportedly considering legislation that would force group insurance policies to provide infertility treatment for gay and lesbian couples.

Two men who have sex with each other for a year and do not produce a baby would be considered “infertile” under the proposed legislation. So would two women having sex. Since biology does not allow those without a uterus to conceive or those without a penis to impregnate, every year-long gay couple in California would potentially be covered by this new provision of California law.

And two men who have sex with each other for a year and do produce a baby will discover one of them has been lying about being male.

The story sounds ridiculous enough to be true. Here’s how it all came about:

Why do I have a feeling that if this passes you will shortly see an exodus of insurance companies out of California.

O/T….Just wanted to let everyone here know that I got the job in Colorado and will be moving there right before Memorial Day weekend!

Congrats! Try not to get run over by gun manufacturers fleeing the state on your drive in!

Good for you! May your move bring you much happiness.

No kidding. On a positive note, it is looking more and more like that state is going to go Conservative in 2014 due to the voters there being ticked about the new gun laws.

    Thanks.

Congratulations, Great Coolness of Beans, and may GOD Bless your new home and job ! Yes, keep that weather eye out for fleeing gun mfrs ! ;-)

Also, it looks fortuitous that you`re not going until May; I heard a 20" ish snowstorm is in the forecast for Right Now there !

    Btw, what city ?

  8. Truesoldier__ on April 9th, 2013 7:35 pm

I saw that about the snowstorm. Glad I wont be driving through that.

The city is Alamosa, in the SE portion of the state.

Congrats TS – just hope that 2014 is not wishful thinking. There are so many transplanted liberals there that fled what they voted for elsewhere, let's hope in the marijanua induced fog that they actually vote for some common sense in 2014. Good Luck!

From what I see on Google Maps, you'll be within easy driving distance of interesting scenery. You'll have some nice places to explore in your spare time.

On Google Earth it looks like the town has everything you need; schools, college, A large trailer park to draw off the tornadoes, a reg. hosp., VA, mental health fac., junk yard, pool hall, truck stop, KFC and Subway, motels, car dealership, all in sight and a short drive from the Rockies and right on the banks of the Rio Grande ! With all the crop circles / irrigation, I`m guessing it doesn`t rain a lot, but counts on snow melt.

I have a feeling it`s much less drab than a satellite image would present; the picture icons tell a much more interesting story ! :-)

    BWC,

When one compares to the endless drab greenery of ever-soaked Pacific NW ( just about anything is 'interesting'? )

Congrats TS! I'm sure you were the most qualified candidate! I just hope the whole motel room phase passes quickly. House hunting ( under duress ) may not be much fun but it's a far better option for you family.

Seattle will become the epicenter for the West Coast prog movement. Particularly on the silly/legislative front.

As one of Briebart's posters noted "Who's being anti-science now!?"

What an INSULT to hetero-couples trying every means imaginable and still not being able to have a child! That's exactly what this is supposed to be. A big fugly affront to every aspect from common sense to financial abuse to our very dignity as human beings.

Whatever these people are doing, it may be thrilling, it may be naughty good fun ( or whatever ) but it is NOT 'sex'. How is everyone else stacking this up? Would we still be subjected to this brand of buffoonery under a Romney admin?

"that fled what they voted for elsewhere"

    By Rick Hampson, USA TODAY
GLEN RIDGE, N.J. — In towns such as this, where highly rated public schools are supported by even higher property taxes, many parents faced with college bills are selling the empty nest while it's still warm.

By moving only as far as the next town, they can cut their local taxes in half. As a result, Graduation Day and Moving Day are getting closer and closer. In the weeks before high school ends, "you'll see the for-sale signs going up," says Ros Schulman, whose son is college-bound.

Idiocracy. Soon the whole nation will be just like the Banana Republic of Calfornia.
