Most. Transparent. Administration. Ever:

The American Civil Liberties Union was curious about warrantless government snooping on citizens’ text messages. So the group filed a Freedom of Information Act request to the Justice Department. Here’s what they got back:

Apparently the Director of the Criminal Division at DoJ is as unimpressed with the ACLU as I am !

Doug, folks, you have got to see this: http://www.investors.com/editorial-cartoons/micha

I know it belongs in the "Photo of the Day" post, but that is "old" now ! ;-)

what can be said? that's nuts :(

  4. Granny55 on May 15th, 2013 11:31 am

As long as the MSM keeps up the pestering – I am truly enjoying every minute of watching this administration squirm. But……. the question is…..will it last? Or will they do a 180 and continue to cover for them???

Did you see Mitch McConnell's comments at a press briefing yesterday??? He asked the press – think about how you are going to cover this – if this was a Republican administration – how would you write your article??? Good question!!!

  5. jeffythequick on May 15th, 2013 12:01 pm

They'll go about 6 inches on that metaphorical trip to the moon, congratulate themselves, give themselves awards, then go back to the same ol' stuff.

  6. backwoodsconsr on May 15th, 2013 12:46 pm

It's not what you say that counts, it's what you don't say.

  7. SignPainterGuy on May 15th, 2013 12:56 pm

What they say you said gives us lots of problems !

  8. Granny55 on May 15th, 2013 1:03 pm

Seems like a lot of people are coming forward with stories of abuse by the EPA too. And the really rich story is Prezbo's half brother got an IRS exempt status ruling within one month and it was back dated and it appears the charity is bogus. Who woulda thunk????

  9. Truesoldier__ on May 15th, 2013 1:03 pm

Talk about the most accurate politcal cartoon eva!

  10. Truesoldier__ on May 15th, 2013 1:05 pm

Under normal circumstances I would agree, but with the AP phone records scandal happening the press is starting to see that they are only 'safe' as long as it doesn't interfere with dear leaders agenda.

And speaking of the AP scandal, Holder is now saying he is not sure just how many times the DoJ has done this:

And from what the buzz is, the CIA is really ticked about Benghazi and may just be letting more dirt out on dear leader. MM's twitchy had the tweets on this the other day and here is a bit more info (though it doesnt say what this 4th scandal may be):

So what kind of transparency decoder ring do you need to get to be able to read that FOIA?

  13. backwoodsconsr on May 15th, 2013 1:12 pm

You got it, Man Who Fell On His Ass.

  14. jeffythequick on May 15th, 2013 1:34 pm

If you just give them access to your e-mail, phone records, conversations with your spouse, inner thoughts, facebook name and password, and let them speak to your children without you present, they'll give you all the transparency they feel appropriate.

Or, they'll just get those from you anyway.

  15. Truesoldier__ on May 15th, 2013 1:37 pm

That sounds about right when it comes to this administration.

Obama has it set up so he appears to hear nothing, so he can deny knowing anything !

  21. Truesoldier__ on May 15th, 2013 2:23 pm

Wll duh, you woldn't expect him to interupt his beauty sleep or a round a golf for something as trivial as a terrorist attack on a consolate…..

  22. Truesoldier__ on May 15th, 2013 2:28 pm

I wonder how long it will be till these "low level" workers at the IRS will start spilling their guts over who is really behind the IRS scandal now that there is a criminal investigation and even Weepy is saying someone needs to go to jail. Btw, the penalty for what was done over at the IRS is 10years per count from what I heard reported last night. Somehow I doubt that some "low level" employee is willing to spend what could be the rest of their life in jail to protect the puppet masters.

  23. SignPainterGuy on May 15th, 2013 2:31 pm

Heard that too. Glenn was on that very thing this morning.

The O`Stration is gonna have to switch to Depends; they can`t change their drawers quickly enough !

  24. Truesoldier__ on May 15th, 2013 2:35 pm

Now that would be one hell of a commercial endorsement for Depends!

When the sh!t is about to hit the fan you can always count on Depends.

  25. SignPainterGuy on May 15th, 2013 2:37 pm

I find it hilarious that the smartest pres. evah, reputed (by the left only) to be SO smart that he can absorb every detail of a conversation or written report that he doesn`t need to receive those daily briefings, sounds like the Clintons, "I can`t recall / I don`t remember", and now he "Isn`t aware of ….".

I do not think "smart" means what they think it means !

  26. SignPainterGuy on May 15th, 2013 2:52 pm

"Depends receives defacto endorsement from Top-Level Government Officials" !

"APPROVED by the Obama Administration !"

New package label designs are in the works !

  27. Truesoldier__ on May 15th, 2013 2:57 pm

Oh please tell me the new label has dear leaders "O" with his face in the middle starring up at a pair of Depends hovering directly above his head….

  28. Truesoldier__ on May 15th, 2013 2:58 pm

More like when a teacher knows the student is slow so they call them 'special' instead.

  29. SignPainterGuy on May 15th, 2013 3:00 pm

    Ahhhh, the "Special" pResident !?

  30. SignPainterGuy on May 15th, 2013 3:05 pm

THAT would become collectible ! Memorabilia ! Spike in sales !

  31. Truesoldier__ on May 15th, 2013 3:35 pm

Now even Charlie Rangel is saying that dear leader needs to come clean on the IRS and AP scandals (pretty funny when you consider Charlie never "came clean" on his tax evasion):
    http://www.politico.com/story/2013/05/charlie-ran

Of course he is also trying to provide dear leader with some breathing space as well, so take the whole thing with a grain of salt.

  32. Truesoldier__ on May 15th, 2013 3:39 pm

Dennis Miller has a great way of summing up dear leaders week:

"Why should we not think that the IRS has come into our hands to serve us in the very hour of need? Wielding it the Free Lords of the Free may surely defeat the enemy."
—Obamomir, at the Council of Elrond

The IRS must be destroyed to solve the root cause. Having it in honest hands only keeps it alive for the next tyrant to use.

  35. SignPainterGuy on May 15th, 2013 7:13 pm

That sounds like a different story than "Lord of the Buzzing Flies".

So which department will (will) have (have) a scandal today?

Can I take the IRS to Mount Doom? I don't think I'd have any problems tossing it in.

  43. Granny55 on May 16th, 2013 12:37 pm

O/T – Just heard an interview on WJR with Frank Beckman – WOW!!! Dennis Michael Lynch is a film maker and he is trying to get a theater to run his film. It is called "They Come To America" and he makes no bones about the fact that our southern border is wide open. He said there are signs on the southern border directing illegals and the signs are in English, Spanish and Chinese. He flat out calls JNap, Oblamer and The Gang of Eight liars about immigration reform (already knew that). In his film he has actual footage of 60 people coming across the border and they were all of middle eastern descent. Here is a link to his facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/TheyComeToAmerica

  44. Truesoldier__ on May 16th, 2013 12:40 pm

Just as we all expected….The IRS employees being scapegoated are saying it was at their bosses direction:

One of FOX19's two sources went on say that these four IRS workers claim "they simply did what their bosses ordered." FOX19 reported on Tuesday that the report by the Office of Inspector General states that senior IRS officials knew agents were targeting Tea Party groups as early as 2011.
    http://www.fox19.com/story/22265631/four-cincy-ir

After working in government for awhile I can believe that these accused are telling the truth. Too many times have I heard people talking about "just doing what their bosses told them to do" either because they are too dumb to question it, too scared to question it or trying to brown nose their way to a promotion.

  45. SignPainterGuy on May 16th, 2013 12:43 pm

It will be presented to the public, along with a spiffy rainbow, pot-o-gold and a prancing unicorn, at the "special" third-term swearing in ceremony !

Kathleeeeeen Sibelius at HHS is under fire for soliciting donations and other personal support for implementing ObamaScare ! #4 right now !

  47. Truesoldier__ on May 16th, 2013 12:48 pm

And now there are questions of whether or not the IRS leaked Romney's tax returns to Harry Reid……
    http://dailycaller.com/2013/05/16/did-the-irs-giv

  48. SignPainterGuy on May 16th, 2013 12:50 pm

And 2 become 4 ! Fascinating too that these 4 (?) had the authority and ability to send out audit notices, etc. from CA and DC as well as Cincinnatti !

  49. Truesoldier__ on May 16th, 2013 12:53 pm

Excellent point. The amount of people involved is multiplying faster than rabbits.

I also see now that at least on liberal talk radio host (Bill Press) is calling for Holder's resignation and it looks like that may happen as rumors are that dear leader is ready to tap his buddy Deval Patrick for the job.

  50. Truesoldier__ on May 16th, 2013 1:04 pm

My guess is all 4 of these known scandals are just the tip of the iceberg.

  51. SignPainterGuy on May 16th, 2013 1:06 pm

Deval Patrick was in the news recently, on vid making an announcement or comment, but I forget the exact occasion. Isn`t he effectively blind, or do I have him confused with another Patrick ?

  52. Truesoldier__ on May 16th, 2013 1:13 pm

Boston Bombing (he is the Gov of Mass).

  53. SignPainterGuy on May 16th, 2013 1:19 pm

I would expand that to "each is the tip of individual icebergs".

  54. Truesoldier__ on May 16th, 2013 1:25 pm

You know it is bad when you have liberal columnist Dana Millbanks referring to dear leader as the "Passerby President".

  55. SignPainterGuy on May 16th, 2013 1:28 pm

OK, thanks ! He IS the one I was thinking of.

Forgive me for being critical of anyone with sight issues, but shouldn`t the Nation`s top law enforcement officer be able to read, easily and quickly ? Reading comprehension appears to be a real problem for Eric "Sgt. Shultz" Holder; he testified "I know nothing ….", and has previously testified that he can`t read everything that comes across his desk ! (para)

It just seems to me that the top LEO should be able to read well, comprehend what he read and then make proper decisions regarding all that he reads !

  56. Truesoldier__ on May 16th, 2013 1:29 pm

Uh Oh….the Bromance is over! It looks like Tingles has a broken heart:

President Obama "obviously likes giving speeches more than he does running the executive branch," Chris Matthews said tonight.
    http://www.politico.com/blogs/media/2013/05/chris

  57. Doug on May 16th, 2013 1:34 pm

These people pushing the "passerby president" line are doing so to protect Obama. Better to have the public think he's unaware rather than complicit.

But who knew… the master community organizer now has no idea what's happening in his community.

  58. SignPainterGuy on May 16th, 2013 1:40 pm

He and Sgt. Shultz Holder "Know Nothing" !!

It looks like they`re both going down, but Holder appears to be burnt toast ! The Media don`t worship him, so the level of protection for him will be down there with tire tracks n footprints !

  59. SignPainterGuy on May 16th, 2013 1:43 pm

Glenn mentioned that a while ago. I was reading and commenting, so I missed all he said, but I gather that meant he wasn`t quite so involved as an unaccountable drive-by shooter or journalist !

  60. SignPainterGuy on May 16th, 2013 1:46 pm

And it only took him 4-1/2 years to figure that out !

Tingles: (pointing to his head) "Kidneys, Maynard !"

  61. Truesoldier__ on May 16th, 2013 1:51 pm

But that's the point. This way he can have plausible deniability that he saw nothing…..

  62. Truesoldier__ on May 16th, 2013 1:52 pm

Good point Doug. It would be a more damning statement if this were before the election than now when he no longer has to worry about running. I guess even the terms of endearment from the press can be 'more flexible' now.

  63. SignPainterGuy on May 16th, 2013 2:01 pm

The pick certainly follows the pattern of selecting the exact wrong person for the job !

  64. SignPainterGuy on May 16th, 2013 2:28 pm

    Well played !

Many on the left are calling for an Obama Third Term ! A Constitutional Amendment to make it possible !

He was immediately the worst pResident EVER in his first term, IMO, and then got a second term to extend his worsestness and now idiots want him to have a THIRD ? NOOOOOOOO !!!!!

  65. Truesoldier__ on May 16th, 2013 2:54 pm

    And in rolls scandal #5:

Witness protection program lost two former "known or suspected terrorists" http://thelead.blogs.cnn.com/2013/05/16/first-on-

So not only are we giving witness protection program status to terrorists, the marshals office is losing track of them.

  66. Truesoldier__ on May 16th, 2013 2:58 pm

Thanks for the info Granny. When I went back to school I had to do an srgumentative paper on a "hot button" issue in an attempt to convice those opposed to come over to my side. I choose immigration reform. The two main arguments I made were that our open border policies allowed terrorists to enter our country illegally just as it did migrant workers.

The second argument I made was that the cheap labor would cease to be cheap once they were legalized (as they could legally force their employers to comply with minimum wage laws and even form unions).

It won over alot of people who had bought into the argument that it was just migrant workers seeking to better their family's outlooks and that if we stopped illegals the price of food and services would increase.

  67. sizemorew on May 16th, 2013 3:57 pm

I feel so much safer now knowing that!

  68. sizemorew on May 16th, 2013 3:59 pm

Weird way to protect the guy, but it does make sense. Make him guilty of the "lesser" crime so no one thinks to accuse him of the worse one.

  69. backwoodsconsr on May 16th, 2013 4:57 pm

It will be a titanic struggle to find them all.

  70. SignPainterGuy on May 16th, 2013 5:49 pm
