No comparison, lots of contrast !

How did he live with himself ?

  2. backwoodsconsr on June 17th, 2013 12:36 pm

By never being sober enough to realize who he was.

  3. SignPainterGuy on June 17th, 2013 12:41 pm

By drinking to forget ? He went beyond his goal and now is dead enough to know nothing !

  4. backwoodsconsr on June 17th, 2013 12:51 pm

And by being so thoroughly pickled, he saved the undertaker a lot of money on embalming fluid!

And of course, being a liberal it was highly unlikely he would ever know anything anyway.

It disgusts me that he is buried in Arlington!

In the course of business, I knew a lot of mutual fund managers, wholesalers etc. in Boston. It's where all the bigger ones are headquartered.

One of the guys was late for work and accidentally bumped into "The Lion of the Senate" and not only was he totally RUDE about it ( acting like royalty ) "a thousand pardons your higness!" would have sufficed? But he also REEKED of alcohol.

It was like 8:00 am on a Tuesday…

  8. SignPainterGuy on June 17th, 2013 2:28 pm

    It was 5: o`clock somewhere !

    Hey, it's something..?

I read one time there's over a MILLION "online music albums" and only a small percentage even get (1) hit or listen. So it's just a bunch of techno-babble dangling out there in the cybersphere.

Equally OT but well worth the trip back in time, recently finished "Me, The Mob and The Music" by Tommy James and The Shondells. This guy was unwittingly, a teenager in the midst of the NY crime families of the 60's and 70's. It really detailed all of their dealings and gave great insight into how corruption takes form.

At one point ( out of sheer frustration over having dozens of Number 1 hits and not getting a DIME from his record label ) Tommy cracks up, becomes highly irratic and can't even explain his own actions? As a subject in Obamaland, clueless and just along for the ride, you'll identify w/ him at every turn.

An otherwise perfectly good ( and hallowed ) expanse of lush, green earth; SPOILED!

  11. Marshall_Will on June 17th, 2013 2:53 pm

    It was *always* 5 o'clock…

His passing did mark an end of an era for Dimmocrats though. Notice how it's become increasingly uphill for them to carry on the facade of due process, legislative order etc. without an all-season straight man?

They've had to abandon all the trappings of 'reporting' and dead-tree string pushing and are forced to rely almost exclusively on Twitter posts to run the country?

He was a loss, not as a material contributor really more as a, mascot.

Once upon a time, back when the world was still young (mid 80's) I made my living as a musician. I can relate all to well to Tommys experiences.

The entire time I was rifling thru the pages I could tell *exactly* how TJ was going to get screwed next. People like Morris Levy ( my old boss ) and P'BO all operate from the same Alinski-esque "rulebook".

Nothing ever 'counts' unless and UNTIL it is resolved in their favor. They know just how long they can string their mark along before the inevitable confrontation. Every placation is just another STALL/roadblock until the next stonewall is erected. MM and Doug have documented how Holder masterfully played those hands.

The 'agreement' only lasts while you're in their office. That's why they tell you to GTFO of IT! There's no such thing as negotiating in 'good faith'. Upper handed/iron-fisted tactics is all they know. The country is being run no differently than a Rap record label. For those that might find that raaaacist ( insert genre` here_____ )

Just for point of clarity.., all humans assert themselves to a certain extent. Unless you're a gov-employee that has no interface w/ the public and just mark off days on a calendar til your retirement, self-assertion is just part of life.

But when you have "snakes in suits" ( great read btw ) these psychopath's ambitions FAR outweigh their skillsets. They honestly don't know how much they don't KNOW? And if grasping science, finance or whatever is beyond their scope of comprehension, it's either bunk, false or they hire an interpreter?

They say never to reach out to a drowning person directly. Use your shirt or a board, lest they drag you under too! Having quota hires like P'BO around you is dangerous enough a thing when earnestly competing. If you think it's bad 'now' ( wait until he's Sec. Gen. of the U.N? )

Sadly, this administration simply views this as "accessing" and when it comes to access, let's just say they have an All Access PASS. It entitles them to bug, track, data mine and listen in on whomever THEY deem a threat.

Nice catch Steve, thanks. Hope everyone had a great Father's Day!

    You Too !

Interesting. A heavily participatory mascot !

  19. Granny55 on June 17th, 2013 11:22 pm

My bad too – belated Happy Father's Day to all here – but celebrated my birthday a couple days early and still paying for it. Just can't do that crap at 58 anymore! 3 days later and I am still tired and hurting!

  20. SignPainterGuy on June 18th, 2013 12:41 am

    Happy Birfday, Granny !
