What difference a change in administrations makes:

Hmm, where are those morons on this issue today?

P.S. Apologies for the slow posting here these days. It’s only because I’m having the problem of not being able to connect to my site from home again. Weirdest problem and nobody can seem to figure it out. Hopefully it starts connecting again soon.

Sympathies for your connection issues, Doug !

I absolutely remember the outrage during the Bush years when gas went above $3. and approached and surpassed $4. !

Funny how the change of party affiliation of the pResident changes the perception of that $4. mark. They have been doing all they can to pass that and send the price over $5. ! I thank GOD that they have so far failed.

  2. ChapBix on August 16th, 2013 6:21 pm

The faux outrage of the mid-2000s is further evidenced by the calls of some on the left for $8/gal. gasoline to reduce carbon emissions.

Regarding your connection issues from home, Doug, perhaps you have a lefty neighbor who has made it his or her mission to disrupt your blog postings?

  3. jeffythequick on August 16th, 2013 6:25 pm

Whenever someone complains about gas prices, I just say, "It must be Obama and his oil buddies."

Occasionally, they will spew some sort of Progressive bile, but I just go back to, "you were saying that about Bush. It was BS then, as it is now. Oh, by the way, it was $1.67 on Jan 20, 2009, so at least Bush left it as he found it."

  4. SignPainterGuy on August 16th, 2013 7:51 pm

    NSA ?

  5. SignPainterGuy on August 16th, 2013 7:54 pm

    I MUST remember that !

  6. Granny55 on August 16th, 2013 9:12 pm

Oh yeah – NSA……. they are not "singling out anyone for their political affiliations" – just like the IRS.

  7. Granny55 on August 16th, 2013 9:15 pm

We can remember that but libs have a mental disorder that does not allow them to remember that far back. Just like the rodeo clown skit…. for gawds sake they made a movie where GWB was murdered and the libs suddenly have Alzheimers Disease. Never happened…..

  8. Truesoldier__ on August 16th, 2013 9:52 pm

And failed only because of increased oil production on private lands that Dear Leader continually tries to take credit for.

  9. Truesoldier__ on August 16th, 2013 9:55 pm

Perhaps it is your ISP is one that has Obamastash for increased high speed internet connections……and they have seen your blog.

  10. Truesoldier__ on August 16th, 2013 9:56 pm

Or a reality disorder. They saw the price as bad when Bush was in office because it was all his oil cronyism. They see it as good when Dear Leader is involved as it will help push us out of our non-green-compliant vehicles and into the utopian future of Flintstone cars.

Wow the GOP actually did something we all have been saying for a while…well at least sort of:

"The Republican National Committee (RNC) voted unanimously Friday to pull the group’s partnership with NBC and CNN for the 2016 GOP presidential primary debates unless the networks kill their planned films on Hillary Clinton."

If they had just stopped there:

RNC Chairman Reince Priebus said before the vote at the RNC summer meeting in Boston. “We’re done putting up with this nonsense. There are plenty of other news outlets.”

Why do I have a feeling we are going to see the 2016 RNC debates moderated by the cast at MSNBC and Al Jazeera?

  12. SignPainterGuy on August 16th, 2013 10:09 pm

If Barry could, those private lands would be shut down. Notice how on public lands where oil and gas are found, suddenly there`s some rare critter that just has to be protected so no oil or gas exploration / drilling can occur ?

  13. SignPainterGuy on August 16th, 2013 10:11 pm

Nope, no way they`d single out Doug ol` boy. He`s "Just`a Blogger", no danger to the regime ! ;-)

  14. SignPainterGuy on August 16th, 2013 10:15 pm

At MM`s on the "10 pix of Bush bashers" er sumpim, several trolls were all over us for rodeo clown wearing a Bammy mask, but forgot about how they made "Kiil Bush" movies !

    Convenient alzheimers !

  15. SignPainterGuy on August 16th, 2013 10:22 pm

It`s out of character fer shur and I`m glad to see part of it, but not the brag of "There`s plenty of other news outlets". Prince Reibus lacks the stones to play a tuff game; we`ll see the debates just as you said, on the libby and muslim stations, not FOX or even C-Span where we`d see fair treatment.

P.Phil is right about this, the RNC will play tuff right up to getting exactly what the dems want ! Never miss a chance to miss a chance !

  16. Truesoldier__ on August 16th, 2013 10:32 pm

Well they are batting 1.000 on never missing a chance to miss a chance. They don't want to F'up that perfect record now do they.

  17. Truesoldier__ on August 16th, 2013 10:34 pm

Or all the movies, tv shows, comercials, etc that made Bush out to be either a raving lunatic or just plain dumb.

Which reminds me, I always loved how the moonbats found Bush to be sooooooooo dumb yet continually claim (to this day I might add) that he was the mastermind behind the 9/11 inside job.

  18. Truesoldier__ on August 16th, 2013 10:35 pm

I could see Dear leader and his minions placing a Humpback Whale in the North Dakota just so they could stop fracking there.

  19. SignPainterGuy on August 16th, 2013 11:47 pm

Oh, NorDakoda gets under their skin, being all free market successful and doing by, *GASP*, drilling for oil ! Don`t think for a minute that the greenies and this admin. haven`t been racking their pea brains for a way to stop them !

  20. SignPainterGuy on August 16th, 2013 11:49 pm

Isn`t that just fascinating as all git out ? So dumb, but able to hornswaggle them at the same time !

  21. SignPainterGuy on August 16th, 2013 11:51 pm

Apparently they don`t, `cause that`s the one record they spare no effort, expense or morsel of self respect to preserve !

  22. Truesoldier__ on August 17th, 2013 12:51 am

No kidding. It says more about them than it does about Bush. I mean, how gullible do you have to be to be snookered by the world's dumbest man?

  23. Truesoldier__ on August 17th, 2013 12:53 am

If they only spent .0001% of that energy trying to elect more Ted Cruz's instead of trashing them our country might stand a fighting chance.

  24. Truesoldier__ on August 17th, 2013 12:55 am

By the way, speaking of free markets….We are about to close on our home between Wed and Fri of next week. We got an excellent interest rate and did it all without the help of any Federal Govt programs.

To top it off, my wife found an excellent job and has so far impressed them enough that they are putting her on the fast track to the expanded Dental Assistant Program which will make her a dentist in all but the doctorate sense…..again without any govt assistance, preferences or other nonsense.

  25. SignPainterGuy on August 17th, 2013 1:37 am

I cannot understand how the lure of being at best, asst. dems, is better than a chance to be first fiddle thru real conservative ideals. Reagan proved they work, but they appear to have hated him !

  26. SignPainterGuy on August 17th, 2013 1:47 am

    Great coolness of beans !!

  27. Truesoldier__ on August 17th, 2013 1:54 am

To them, Reagan is the fluke and Goldwater's defeat was the norm. And then they wonder why they keep loosing elections.

  28. SignPainterGuy on August 17th, 2013 10:37 am

It`s no wonder then that liboprogs confuse conservatives with Republicans; seeing the Big Rs as just for the rich and ignoring or being ignorant of the party`s mission statement (unwritten for the most part) that is what conservatives are (Reagan was) all about !

  29. SignPainterGuy on August 17th, 2013 11:47 am

A day late and at least a dollar short, but ……. funny is timeless, right ? http://hardnoxandfriends.wordpress.com/2013/08/16
