Just when I feel confident about the position I’ve taken on an issue, along comes Al Sharpton to let me know I’ve chosen wisely:

That’s not a lab coat Sharpton’s wearing — it’s a lace-less straight jacket.

“Just because it snows in winter doesn’t mean the planet isn’t getting warmer.” Remember that in a few months when just because it’s hot in summer is evidence the planet is getting warmer.

Climatologist-in-Chief, Al "not so" Sharpton spewing his "science" of ad hominem attacks to make his "scientific" point. He makes the scarecrow look scholarly.

Hmm, hasn't Al passed his expiration date yet?

Just the man I turn to when I want to know the truth about something. Come on Al, tell me how racist snow is for being so white.

Unfortunately, that bit of sophisticated analysis is about as deep as the thinking of his intended audience ever gets.

This is the perfect gig for Al Charlatan….

We already have a Weird Al, position's been taken…

Anyone else been following the new EPA schtick on wood burning stoves? I read the first 70 pages of their 354 pg. proposal and their assumptions out of the gate are fairly ridiculous. Sadly, my state of Boregon is leading the Charge of the Lemmings.

Without [one] footnote or credible ref. the EPA bestows medical expert upon themselves linking wood smoke to bronchitis, infertility, insanity and finally, burning itchy eyes. Then they ramble on about the Broken Window Economic 'benefits' of destroying perfectly good woodstoves without mention of the energy and resources that went int that!?

Per usual we can't make the claim they'll be "kicking your door down!" ( BUT, you won't be able to sell yout home with the old [serviceable] stove in situ. Nor is there mention how the new standard will be obtained?

You can say that again. ;)

I saw that. It always used to get to me when they would put our the air quality warnings in Tacoma/Olympia area and tell those of us that lived out in the foothills of Mt Rainer that due to air quality in Tacoma/Olympia we could not use our wood stoves.

Of course it just made all of us light up our wood stoves whether or not we needed the extra heat….

Have to laugh when they [dutifully] 'report' AQ conditions so ominous, to go outside is to take your own life into your hands..! Really? Just played two sets of tennis..!

What I'm seeing, and one only need cover the first 70 pages ( the bal. is their patented, sure-fire test procedures ) is while you can't claim "this is the END of Americans and their relationship w/ wood-burning stoves!" It IS a step toward extinction of another industry.

EPA claims there are 36 models currently in production that meet their Step 2 mandates for PM ( Particulate Matter ) But it's another red herring. As w/ GW, the single most important variable is of course, the Sun. With wood stoves ( uh… it's the WOOD ) So they're playing a semantic GAME here, all the while pretending to be sensitive to the smaller mfrs. that typically provide.

In the end analysis, how hard is it to imagine those 36 models that comply, a) have woefully inadequate BTU output, b) are flirting w/ cost prohibitive and c) are enormously unpopular w/ the buying public!? We have until the 26th of Feb. to respond. They're couching themselves as medical experts, beyond reproach.

So that is how they plan on tackling GW…..forcing all heat sources for our homes to produce less heat starting with wood stoves. That sounds just about right for the so called logic of the left.

So, no more 60 watt wood stoves, eh?
