Five years into this failed progressive experiment, can anybody read this “time to take action to repair the damage we’ve done” stuff without laughing?

Calling for “all hands on deck” to assist the economy, President Barack Obama is urging his Cabinet to identify ways to keep his administration relevant to people struggling in the up-and-down recovery.

With two weeks left before delivering an economy-focused State of the Union address to Congress, Obama is picking up the pace of his jobs message and demonstrating how he can advance his economic agenda administratively and through his ability to coax action from important interest groups.

“We’re not just going to be waiting for legislation in order to make sure that we’re providing Americans the kind of help they need. I’ve got a pen and I’ve got a phone,” Obama said Tuesday as he convened his first Cabinet meeting of the year.

War strategists take note: President Obama has proven that all it takes to bring an entire nation to its knees is a pen and a phone.

    So Dear Leader is trying to continue causing problems (i.e. relevant) to ensure the economy stays stagnant (i.e. the down part of the recovery as the up part is despite his policies).

    Doesn't all this "now I'm really serious" bunk of his place on full exhibit just how looong a take this radical has on converting America..?

    To any CEO, that's [20] TWENTY quarters of neg./flat economic growth. Shareholders would have been THREE of them by now! But to Frank Marshall's Lil' Barry, it's all just part & parcel w/ the suffering we'll have to go thru in the process.

    Reds/Sewshallists think more in terms of counting *generations* not silly capitalist measures like fiscal years.

    Preferably the call would be to someone disinclined to talk him out of it. Again, other than glimpses of modest discomfort/annoyance and a handful of "well THIS is embarrassing!" rollout moments, judging from his demeanor, you'd have no idea the first 5 years were other than total d-i-s-a-s-t-e-r.

    We've seen more squirm from Christie over the last week than O'Drama combined. There has to be something hardwired into muslims [from birth] that allows them to completely ignore perfectly appropriate criticism.

    Speaking of DWS, did you see where her constituents are finally getting upset with her. They caught her telling them that she was for new sanctions on Iran then, back in DC, telling a reporter she was against new sanctions on Iran.

    Of course by election day they will have forgotten.
