It’s quite simple really: If voters continue to elect and re-elect those who insist on turning America into an entitlement society, it must come at the expense of something else. Dick Cheney’s statement caused controversy, but he merely pointed out the obvious:

Former vice president Dick Cheney went on Fox’s “Hannity” show last night to discuss the recent plans to reduce the Army to levels not seen since 1940 — through a reduction in personnel and removing a class of warplanes from the field — in an effort to cut budgets after a decade of war, calling the decision “over the top.” He told host Sean Hannity that President Obama would “much rather spend the money on food stamps than he would on a strong military or support for our troops.”

But, like I said in the intro, I wouldn’t put this all on Obama — the blame can be shared among millions. “The One” was elected and re-elected. This one’s on voters too, and unfortunately the rest of us who see what’s coming are forced to go down with a ship they’re poking full of holes.

No surprise at all. Dear Leader knows that the military didn't vote for him, so he is looking out for those voters (not all are Americans anymore) that constitute his constituency. Of course this fits in nicely with Dear Leaders plan to knock America down a peg or two in the world (in his mind we deserve it.

He knows the best way to do that is from within.

    Destroy jobs
    Destroy the economy
Destroy the morale fiber of American values
    Weaken the military

I have always loved Cheney's candor. I fear the day that all these voters that want "free stuff" come to realize it was never free. I fear that day, because it will come when we no longer have a military to defend us from the likes of China, NoKo, Iran, etc.

Ahh… the Left's age old practice of presenting voters with false dilemmas, choices and dichotomies!

More squirrel politics, as usual. Don't get riled up over -billions- torched on the brazen money laundering parading as "green energy" boondoggles! Don't bother to notice the gaping HOLE our 'economy' has become over the last 5+ years driving job creators into a Gone Galt competition? It's that gosh darned military budget..!

Let's play crabs in a bucket over whose getting what from gov. spending! Let's indulge in cratering any hope for a middle ground as Richard Trumpka and the AFL-CIO torch $300 mil. in member's dues to finish off what's left of the economy…

Not to mention about a half dozen non-state aggressors ready, willing and able to make BHO's wildest fantasies come true.

Further, a quick check shows that the U.S pop. in 1940 was only approx. 1/3 of what it is today at 132 mil. Thought another way, the 46.2 mil. currently on foodstamps would represent precisely 35% of [1940] population.

Hey more Orwellian speak from the administration:

IRS Warns: Obamacare Tax Must Be Paid with Tax Return

Agency employs Orwellian term “Shared Responsibility Payment” to describe Obamacare individual mandate tax.

Shared with whom? Hey @-hole O'Drama, get that BS language out of our tax code okay? Where has that form of semantics been used in it before?

"For any month in 2014 that you or any of your dependents don’t maintain coverage and don’t qualify for an exemption, you will need to make an individual shared responsibility payment with your 2014 tax return filed in 2015."

So it's like what.., 'pro-rated'? Sounds like another Out they can play for EDE. Enhanced Drama Effect. What a JOKE. Best comment; "Send me to Gitmo!" The level of 'compliance' will be about as robust as enrollment…

The Dems keep saying that the news reports of Oscare hurting people and causing financial distress are false. Well, here is one for you….

My friend Jane is 61 and developed a rapid, onset growth on her thyroid. Jane is one of the people that Obama doesn't count in his unemployment figures. The firm she worked for (recreational travel industry) closed shop three years ago and she has been unable to find employment and cannot afford health insurance. She made an appointment with a prominent surgeon and had to pay $150 for the initial appointment – $100 office call and $50 new patient processing fee. She was hoping to at least have a needle biopsy. He refused to do the biopsy – even though she said she would pay cash for the procedure. He told her to go get covered under Oscare or Medicaid and then come back and he would do the biopsy. So there she sits – not knowing what the growth is and/or whether it may be cancerous. Prior to Oscare implementation she paid cash for all her doctor appointments and even had a non-cancerous lump removed and biopsied from her breast. Now the doctors are refusing cash paying customers??? What's up with that??? Surgeon must be a huge proponent and supporter of Obama and his disaster that Oscare has become. Sad, sad, sad. She is now seeking another appointment with a doctor who will accept cash payment. Not having much luck.

Obama is implementing the Cloward-Pivens Strategy6, nothing more and nothing less.

One more reason to like Ted Cruz.

Firstly, so sorry to hear of Jane's predicament. Unfortunately, one of progressive's making. I've had many friends and clients over the years that did well enough to either have catastrophic policies, or simply rolled the dice and paid out of pocket [if] or when the need arose.

This is a travesty. As much as we need to respect her privacy and freedom of choice ( what of it remains? ) her getting her story out illustrates several key points that haven't been brought public to date.

Primary of which, why would MD's refuse any cash & carry patient..!?!? What are they afraid of? We wish her full and speedy recovery.
