For some reason, this sounds awfully familiar:

Putin lightly taunting The One no doubt:

A Russian warship was docked in Havana Wednesday, without explanation from Communist Cuba or its state media.

The Viktor Leonov CCB-175 boat, measuring 91.5 meters (300 feet) long and 14.5 meters wide, was docked at the port of Havana’s cruise ship area, near the Russian Orthodox Cathedral.

The Vishnya, or Meridian-class intelligence ship, which has a crew of around 200, went into service in the Black Sea in 1988 before it was transferred seven years later to the northern fleet, Russian media sources said.

Neither Cuban authorities nor state media have mentioned the ship’s visit, unlike on previous tours by Russian warships.

Where is that misspelled “re-set button” when you need it?

By the way, I was only joking with the “Bay of Pigs” reference in the title. Obama would surrender to Putin long before any nuke standoff reached a similar crisis level.

Obama will solve this problem the way he solves every other problem. He'll give a speech.

Putin sure does love poking Obama in the eye.

Harry Reid goes all Nazi on the First Amendment.

No surprise. I expect to see more and more enemy states/countries see just what they can get away with while Dear Leader is in office.

I suspect in this case Putin is testing to see if there is any response from this administration as a lead up to sending his troops into the Ukraine.

O/T..not sure if you all saw this, but they recently discovered that a convicted terrorist was working as an Obamacare Navigator in Illinois.

That or Obama has extended a gracious invite so Googleputin can link their "education and exposition" East/West coast NSA barges..?

CCB-175 sounds identical ( in purpose, mission and design ) to our own U.S.S Blue Ridge. The BR was outfitted w/ state of the art intel gathering equip. and her movements were always indicative of heightened operations by our Pacific Fleet.

Normally these vessels are "welded to the pier" and only get underway in *advance* of major operations. There were often 2-3 year stretches where the Blue Ridge didn't BUDGE from her homeport. What little 'armament' she had was defensive in nature.

At least they waited until the Olympix held the closing ceremony.

"Julia Turner made a similar discovery after selecting her Covered California plan. The only doctors who will see the San Francisco resident are clinics in the high-crime East Oakland area."

Not sure how to take that one..? Odds are ( Purple State and all ) this "Julia" voted not once but twice for Obama. I don't know how Marxistcrats expect us to respond?

Empathy and compassion for her medical condition, or smug satisfaction she's finally getting a taste of what she rammed down the rest of our throats? Full McCarthy.., lol.

Those are not high crime areas, they are wealth distribution epicenters.

  9. Truesoldier__ on February 27th, 2014 11:06 pm

Do you think it is the same "Julia" as the "life of Julia" from the govt?

Right, and when she gets her purse snatched and car jacked ( if she's lucky ) Harry Reid will say that was fabrication as well.

Doesn't everyone love a fairy tale ending?

As always ( for Doug's trolls & lurkers ) we'd love to be wrong. But from what is known about the "4 million" that have managed to sign up, 80+ % have only done so because they qualified for heavy "shared responsibility" subsidy.

As a Blue State conservative, I can empathize in full w/ those that have had their [formerly] right-leaning state swept out from under them while they built a business, raised children and lived their lives. All as progressives directed equal efforts to… fundamental transformation.

It's hard to find knowledgeable people on this topic, however you sound like you know what you are preaching about! thanks

I think about why the opposite experts of this sector do not notice this. You must continue your writing.

And it looks like now Dear Leader should be saying, "If you don't like your Obamacare plan, to bad you are going to keep your Obamacare plan!"

"We are hearing about a new problem that involves the Affordable Care Act," said the anchor. "People who signed up for coverage are finding it impossible to cancel their plans. Channel 9's Lori Brown spoke with an Orlando man who has been trying unsuccessfully to cancel for more than six weeks now."

One could postulate that the Russians were in port at Havana for some Cuban cigars.

  16. Marshall_Will on March 1st, 2014 12:39 am

Unreal. Not sure what's the more flabbergasting aspect here, the inability of the individual to cancel the 'policy', his steadfast belief O'Care was actually going to work or that $300 bucks was "going to clean his account out"?

Dude, if you're down to your last 3 bills, on a month to month basis, healthcare at ANY level doesn't sound like it's going to be affordable for you? Unless of course ( as noted above ) it's going to be heavily subsidized by the rest of us!

How profound of a news vacuum do these O supporters have to LIVE in to believe this was all somehow going to be 'viable'? In 2014..!?! Unreal.

OT but Joyanna Adams has an intriguing link ( blogroll lower left ) over how many banker suicides there have been over just the last few weeks. Having worked in the industry I've seen these things before and it usually IS in waves.

It's possible I suppose, as no discernible apparent connection really jumped out, these were simply individuals smart enough to connect the dots for our coming meltdown and decided they'd rather BAIL than face the collective music?

    Interesting nonetheless…
