‘The science is settled’ AGW study ‘update’ of the day

This is the title of a story at Salon.com that many global warmist Gore-bots are pointing to: 10,883 out of 10,885 scientific articles agree: Global warming is happening, and humans are to blame

10,883 out of 10,885 studies agree with Al Gore? Wow, that’s a lot.

From the article:

Powell went through every scientific study published in a peer-review journal during the calendar year 2013, finding 10,885 in total (more on his methodology here). Of those, a mere two rejected anthropogenic global warming.

Wow, did he really wade through over 10,000 peer reviewed studies?

Check out this “update” way at the bottom of the story:

On his methodology, Powell notes, he only verified that two out of the 10,885 articles he found concluded that anthropogenic global warming (AGW) is wrong: “It is a safe assumption that virtually all the other 10883 do not reject — that is, they accept — AGW but I can’t say for sure that each one of them does.”

Ha! It’s a “safe assumption” because it’s what he believes (or wants) to be true. Some science, eh?

Imagine Einstein “proving” a theory by writing ten percent of it on a chalkboard and then saying “it’s a safe assumption the rest works out the way I said so just shut up and believe it.”

Response to Obama finally answers age-old Zen philosophical riddle ‘what is the sound of one hand clapping?’

In the Netherlands, President Obama appeared at a joint press conference with Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte.

After Obama wrapped it up, the sound of crickets was punctuated by what I think was the sound of one hand clapping.

Five years ago the applause would have been thunderous, even from the press.

I couldn’t help but be reminded of this:

If you were hoping Nancy Pelosi’s crazy gene would skip at least a generation…

… You’re about to be let down:

I’m guilty of double hypocrisy then, because I use the Internet to criticize the sham global warming BS shoveled by the Internet’s All-Powerful Great Creator™ Al Gore.

Obama: Forget about Russia, what I’m really concerned about is a nuke going off in NYC

ABC News’ Jon Karl asked President Obama about Mitt Romney referring to Russia as America’s “number one geopolitical foe” in 2012, a claim that Team Obama mocked relentlessly. Obama, after some hem-hawing, basically tried to cover his administration’s naivety on Russia by upping the catastrophe ante:

“So my response then continues to be what I believe today, which is: Russia’s actions are a problem. They don’t pose the number one national security threat to the United States. I continue to be much more concerned when it comes to our security with the prospect of a nuclear weapon going off in Manhattan,” said Obama.

That must be why he’s allowing Iran leeway on nuclear enrichment. Great plan.

Obama also said Putin’s invasion of Crimea was a sign of Russian weakness. People with Obama-esque worldviews are why history can’t stop repeating itself.

Possible source of Obama’s latest, greatest national security worry:

Vote fraud we much: Al Sharpton embraces woman convicted of casting six ballots for Obama in 2012 election

In Ohio about a year ago, a woman named Melowese Richardson was convicted of vote fraud. In the 2012 election, Richardson voted for Obama six times. Richardson was released from prison after serving just eight months of a five year sentence (on the federal level, Eric Holder yawned and looked the other way).

Last week at a Dem rally, Al Sharpton showed that Richardson is just the kind of person the party needs more of:

sharpton

Hope you were able to get some good pointers, Al.

Update:

It gets even better… the woman who voted for Obama six times was part of the “Communities United for Action” (CUFA). In 2010, CUFA received a $25,000 grant from the Obama administration’s EPA.

“Move along, nothing to see here!”

Flashback tweets: Arianna’s hilarious warning & why Vlad was glad

Ran across this a few days ago and it’s still cracking me up:

Self-assured liberals always know best.

And this one’s self-explanatory:

Putin was happy Obama won the election kind of in the same way Michael Moore is thrilled when a new Outback Steak House opens in town.

Michelle Obama staffer: FLOTUS taking family on trip because of Chinese tradition, or something

Well, Michelle Obama is off on another trip with her mother and the kids — this time to China.

The given reason FLOTUS is taking her mother and the kids, which is sure to add considerably to the price tag, is quite the piece of comedy coming from the First Lady’s office:

The White House is defending the first lady bringing her family along for the ride by saying it’s what the Chinese would want. “Tina Tchen, Mrs. Obama’s chief of staff and a first-generation Chinese-American, said a multigenerational visit would be appreciated by the Chinese, who value tradition,” says the Times.

Apparently FLOTUS is also trying to respect the Chinese tradition of not allowing reporters to cover what she’s doing. Ah “transparency.”

Hopefully she doesn’t insist on helping make their school lunches shitty and trigger an international incident.

Putin cronies clearly not taking the Obama administration’s sanctions seriously

Russian officials are mocking Obama’s soft response (economic sanctions against eleven individuals) to Putin’s aggression in Crimea and possible plans to take Ukraine by joking that the U.S. president is in fact a closet KGB agent.

Below is a tweet from the new Prime Minister of Crimea, Sergey Aksyonov, who is on Obama’s sanction list:

russiantweet

There’s also a mock KGB personnel file for “Boris Huseinovich Obamov.”

I don’t think they’re taking Obama’s “response” seriously.”

If the Russians really want to crank up the funny they should create a picture of Obama in a KGB uniform filling out NCAA tourney brackets.

Background on the Russian mockery here.
