Liberal Connecticut Sen. Chris Murphy on criticism of President Obama swapping five Taliban leaders for Army deserter Bowe Bergdahl:

What an ass. “Chose to fight to protect the rest of us”? Initially, maybe, but not as of June 30, 2009.

Gee I guess that even Gen Dempsey is an "Obama Hater" as he has now said that they have not ruled out desertion charges against Bergdahl.

Rep. Murphy needs to buy a clue (or perhaps more than one since he is a lib after all). The Army and intelligence (is there such a thing when it has to do with government?) agencies were amassing a dossier on him after his alleged capture. Looking more like he was collaborating with the Taliban which would make him an enemy, not someone to emulate. Obama may have traded five enemies in exchange for another one.

    ChapBix,

What I'm failing to comprehend, why would any pol. party, with so much neg. synergy right now, and all but assured Shellacking (TM) in the wings, roll the dice like this?

Closing Gitmo was only a talking/sticking point whilst Boosh was in office and ceased to be the min. O'Drama was elected. Selective release, especially of inner circle, hard case operatives isn't liable to garner favor w/ even the 20% on the hard Left.

In your link it mentions G.I's in his unit being forced to sign a confidentiality agreement. Probably under threat they wouldn't get any of their Ed. benefits, health, pay etc.

    All very customary I'm sure…

    OT but plenty interesting:

Can't believe I hadn't heard of Rosa Koire before! She's been interviewed on InfoWars and is something of a recognized authority on how Agenda 21 works at the local level. Thoroughly fascinating and enlightening presentations.

Whenever we find ourselves asking "Whatever happened to all the tie-dyed 'liberals' that used to stand up to oppression and conformity of thought?" I think I found (1)! She provides that critical missing link to address the all important question ( How IS it all these local gov's seem to be on the same PAGE instantaneously!? )

More likely with threats that they would not be allowed to redeploy stateside until they did sign it.

So is Sen Murphy going to send out a tweet against Alison Grimes. After all she had this to say about Dear Leader which in Sen Murphy's book must make her an "Obama Hater":

“When I’m in the U.S. Senate, I will fiercely oppose the President’s attack on Kentucky’s coal industry because protecting our jobs will be my number one priority,” said Mrs. Grimes, who serves as the Kentucky secretary of state.

No clue as to how sincere Alison's claims, platform or overall character are, but; that sound byte seems to be a recurring theme among candidates of either party this election season.

    "Let's build *Oregon's* economy ( not Washington's! )"

Hope you can understand why I'm [understandably] skeptical? Be it Joe Manchin, our own Kurt Schrader ( Dim, OR ) these guys/gals all morph into 'conservatives' in open states, only to sell out the -minute- they arrive in DC.

Just go to show that the majority of voters would prefer what the founders actually intended……Strong states with a limited federal govt.

    About TIME!?

In following econ/financial blogs as we developed to the point we're at now; you began to see progressives held to their own version of trickle down economics.

All proceeds, tax & tribute is filtered [first] through DC and disseminated from THERE. Shame it took so many people all this time to wake up to that?
