On June 14, 1777, the flag of the United States was adopted, which is of course we observe every year on this day by displaying the American flag.

The DNC apparently couldn’t find a picture of a U.S. flag:

Does anybody know what flag or banner that is? I did a search and it was taken at an Obama campaign event (of course) in Davenport, Iowa in 2012. But I’m trying to pin down exactly what it is.

I guess what should most surprise me is that the picture doesn’t have Obama in it.

The RNC did much better:

It could be the Puerto Rican flag:

I don't think so. The blue field the star is in on the PR flag is a triangle, and the edges of the blue field in the photo run parallel.

Good catch. Perhaps it is the United World of Barack. In his mind everyone should be united under his superior leadership and the world would be a better place.

I'll take a swag at the Dim's never ending quest for messaging/iconography:

"Yes, we are [illegally] dumping as many minor border jumpers wherever it is that we damn well PLEASE. And there isn't a thing you xenophobic Republicans can DO about it! This is the new face of Amerika/WOB ( World of Barrack ) so start LIKING being a minority. We will repatriate every last one of them as registered Democrats in our final conversion as a One Party System. The Flag stands for whatever we SAY it stands for!"

Bill Whittle covered their none too 'subtle' wall-to-wall/24/7 carpet bombing techniques a few years back and it's always worth a revisit.
