It’s looking like the Republicans are going to take control of the U.S. Senate after all the votes are counted tonight and reach near historic levels of House control.

Let’s take a live look inside DNC headquarters right now:

If Harry Reid needs help moving furniture out of the Majority Leader’s office I’d be happy to volunteer to help in the name of bipartisanship.

Update:

Let’s check back in with the live cam at DNC headquarters to see what’s going on this morning:

SO sad…

Very, very funny clip. Made my day.
I hope to God the GOP does not become complacent and allow the den of snakes to gather and counter attack, which they most likely doing as we speak.
The president has actually anticipated the congressional loss and has pre empted with a meet and greet this Friday. As in the flick 'Brave Heart' the attack scene, Hold…Hold….Hold!!!!

I don't want to spike the football – but…….. some of the pics of the lib media is just priceless. Especially the pic of Chrissy Mathews upon hearing the news that a republican won the governors seat in Illinois! And this morning – the spittering and sputtering of all the lib newsrooms was well….. kind of delightful. That is all.

I fear that as well. We need to contact our reps and senators and let them know that Conservatives helped drag some of these candidates across the finish line and we can easily take that back in 2016. We need to let them know that they need to not pass any major legislation (including budget items) during the lame duck and we want to see Boehner and McConnell out of the leadership positions as we have no confidence in them.

And the DOW is at "an all time high!" on CNN!

"and let them know that Conservatives helped drag some of these candidates across the finish line"

Great point. Bill Hemmer was serving up softballs to Priebus as if HE were the 'architect' of this victory. Which is really early on the west coast to puke in your mouth a little.

True, they finally served up a few candidates we could get behind but that's about it. WE drove the narrative from 2010 to last night.

Interesting thing in Colorado. Republicans took all but the Governorship in the state wide elections:

    US Senate
    SOS
    AG
    State Treasurer

The Gov race is still close (though unlikely that Beuaprez will pull out enough votes to win).

Makes you wonder what it was about Beauprez that the voters chose not to choose him over the Bloomberg mouth piece we currently have for the governor who threatened to commute the death sentence of a murderer convicted of killing young workers at Chuck E Cheese.

Update: I just heard that Beauprez never returned his questionnaire on gun rights to the leading gun rights advocacy group in the state. With the gun control measures the dems put in place last year which caused Magpul to leave the state that very well could have been what did him in.

I didn't get my wish of seeing Lindsey Graham replaced (I voted for petition candidate Thomas Ravenel) but I did get a bit of a consolation prize. Since South Carolina had both Senate seats up for grabs, due to the need to fill the remainder of Jim DeMint's term, I did get to see Graham get less votes in his victory than Tim Scott did in his. There is a noticable level of contempt for Graham in this state, but unfortunately it's not yet as much as he deserves.

Ditto all that – and next up my man Rush – can't wait to hear his take.

Speaking of that, it's funny that the Wall Street haters on the Left, when trying to demonstrate The One's economic awesomeness, often cite the stock market riding high as a piece of evidence.

  10. Truesoldier__ on November 6th, 2014 1:33 am

But that's different Doug, now that the One is allowed to pick and choose the winner and losers there is no need for OWS…..Did I channel the lib mindset well enough?

I can't wait to hear Debbie Water-Carrier do her Bagdad Bob routine on the bridge with US tanks rolling in the background. Sounds like Bagdad Bob might have a job opportunity with the DNC.

    Doug,

As a long time Housing Bubble just-a-blogger it was incredible to note all the left-leaning contributors twist their ankles doing post haste 180's.

Like everything in their vernacular, they could care LESS about economic growth, capital expenditures or uh, employment? It's just a talking point for their quiver to showcase that Gov-run biz works!

Even had a widely accepted/generic acronym they applied to Wall Street, EMB ( Evil Mega Bank ) Suddenly they were "financial institutions". ( Although they prefer locally controlled credit unions ) As long as Progs control something, it's all good…

Not sure what happened there either, but it's safe to say Hick will be as isolated in the governor's mansion as Mr. Mopey at 1600.

The Left Coast is such a disaster I'm thinking about suggesting we pool resources, volunteers, call centers etc. and have essentially a West Coast GOP ground game. With an aging base ( the golden girls I dialed w/ called me "sonny" ) we may be forced to consolidate and focus and a handful of select races we think have the best shot. Then claw our way out (1) sh!tty mess at a time.

Seperately, we're no MATCH for the Left Coast Dim-juggernaut. IMHO

You may have a point. The only other option would be to wait for the amnesty fiat, followed by the secession vote of California as it returns to Mexico which in turn will give an even larger "southern" border for the illegals to ignore.

I will say I was pleasantly surprised to see the illegal drivers licenses go down in flames in Oregon. It makes my head spin to think that the same voters who don't want to see an amnesty or even drivers licenses go to illegals turn around and continue to vote for politicians who vow to give amnesty and all the bennies to illegal aliens.
