Last week, State Department spokesclown Marie Harf claimed that one ingredient in fighting terrorism is aiding in job creation so they have other opportunities and options. Obama agreed in an op-ed, writing that “the world has to offer today’s youth something better.”

If only this guy had been provided with some economic opportunity growing up:

The world knows him as “Jihadi John,” the masked man with a British accent who has beheaded several hostages held by the Islamic State and who taunts audiences in videos circulated widely online.

But his real name, according to friends and others familiar with his case, is Mohammed Emwazi, a Briton from a well-to-do family who grew up in West London and graduated from college with a degree in computer programming. He is believed to have traveled to Syria around 2012 and to have later joined the Islamic State, the group whose barbarity he has come to symbolize.

According to the Obama/State Department model, the poor kid never had a chance!

Maybe if this guy could have played midnight basketball during the Clinton Administration he would have turned out all right.

With each lie this administration tries to push as fact the more they are proven to be liars.

Yup – look at the comments from SOS Kerry one day and then the comment from DNI Clapper – quite the contrast. And now we find 32000+ emails from Lois Lerner??? Hmmmm – not one bit of corruption – anywhere! If it wasn't so serious it would be comedic.

  4. Granny617 on February 27th, 2015 12:27 pm

Seems like Kerry is watching ESPN Sports with Barry every morning instead of reading the threat assessment reports that Clapper is pouring over.

    Research/FRAUD Alert!

Can I get some intrepid just-a-bloggers on this?

This whole, 'narrative' ( complete w/ plugs from GS's CEO himself ) stinks

"When asked for comment on Arce’s story, Goldman Sachs sent a statement from Chief Executive Officer Lloyd Blankfein: “Wouldn’t it be great if we could give a home to more of the talented young people who come to this country for an education and want to apply their energy and skills to supporting our economy?”

Yes ( @-hole! ) You should be FAMILIAR! It's called the H-1B program and YOU, Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg ( his new BFF Carlos Slim ) endlessly plug, promote and manipulate the legislative 'process' to GET it!

I want to SEE Julissa Arce's Commission Runs! You guys are bankers? Shouldn't be too hard to see where she sat in the "hoof rankings"? With the none-too-'subtle' shout out to Antonio Vargas anWhen asked for comment on Arce’s story, Goldman Sachs sent a statement from Chief Executive Officer Lloyd Blankfein: “Wouldn’t it be great if we could give a home to more of the talented young people who come to this country for an education and want to apply their energy and skills to supporting our economy?”

    Sorry! Un-Submit button?

Guys, this REEKS to high heaven. Now we all know the Professional Left will [automatically assert] we're all just too raaacist to admit that illegals just might have skills beyond ( assert menial task here ____ )?

It's all just to convenient, too, 'tidy'. Julissa Arce points to her "getting her education thru TX governor Rick Perry's "Dream Act" ( although the article refuses to call it that by name? ) As does Blankfein's statement conveniently omit [direct] ref. to the H-1B visa program.

They know these have become red meat terms to conservatives so they're trying to launch the narrative into the public conscience [before] attaching those buzz words. None of us have EVER asserted women, Latinas, Blacks or any other minority are 'incapable' of performing at the highest levels!

I'm willing to bet JA was a PLANT ( at best ) and possibly an outright fabrication at worst.

Oh, and good LUCK getting the CEO of a major U.S corp. to make any form of official "comment" on uh…, just about ANYTHING? But Blankfein "found the time" to speculate/"lament" the dismissal of some former employee he never even knew EXISTED?

NOT the brokerage industry *I* recall? ( They'd be divvying up your client's accounts before you cleaned out your desk and the elevator hit the LOBBY ) You're DEAD to them! Also notice she, 'worked' for GS's "mortgage backed securities" dept. Like Bear Sterns and Lehman bros. these departments were universally DECIMATED and [unceremoniously] disassembled.

In fact, most firms did their level best to pretend they never EXISTED. But somehow…? She survived. Hmm…. I could see sticking around long enough to "unwind the trades" but the layoffs at financial firms was nothing short of astounding. Especially for newbies. There was barely enough biz to go around for OLD hands, w/ established client books.

This just ain't adding UP guys.

The FINRA "Broker Check" does in FACT corroborate her securities registration, and while the dates all match the ref's in the article ( and the fact she is no longer registered ) it may not mean much?

Often times a B/D ( Broker dealer ) will require even sales assistants to be 'licensed' to run trades in the event of the senior broker's absence. That's a long way from "a rising star", sorry to all the LEGAL SA's. So assuming everything else lines up… ( HTF did a random illegal get thru the 'rigorous' FINRA Background Check!? )

This invites huge HUGE liabilities for the firm! Virtually ANY client that lost $'s on trades SHE RAN could come back w/ a [very] winnable case for even the newest securities litigation attorney! Why would their CEO be talking about it publicly when [obviously] his firm hadn't done their HOMEWORK?

Not only that, but there should be criminal charges filed against this gal as she admits to using forged documents which helped her gain access to the financial institutions. In a sane world she would be facing multiple counts and probably at least one life sentence for all the laws and regulations she broke.

Not to mention, if she has done it, how many illegals that over stayed their visas from terrorist hotbeds have done the same thing and could be working in key positions in financial institutions, utility companies, airports, etc?

They try to make this story into some touchy-feely feel good story about a poor illegal immigrant who was a victim of circumstance. I'll I see is admission of how easy it is for terror groups to have set up sleeper cells in key positions all over the country.

I just got an Obama campaign email that claims they've created "hundreds of thousands of jobs a month." If that's the case, using the Harf/Obama terrorism theory, why would they have any concern about domestic terrorism?

"Doing the jobs Americans won't do"… like trading derivatives.

Anybody wonder why Goldman Sachs survives and gets bailed out repeatedly with our money? Because the play the game very well, as that story demonstrates.

CEO: “Wouldn’t it be great if we could give a home to more of the talented young people who come to this country for an education and want to apply their energy and skills to supporting our economy?”

That's good enough for the Dems to support another bailout in the future.

  12. Marshall_Will on February 28th, 2015 5:55 pm

Or KEEP Goldman's top exec's from wearing orange jumpsuits over their mortgage misdeeds?

I knew so many of the folks working those MBS ( Mortgage 'Backed' Securities ) desks and they were ALL literally trembling w/ FEAR over the fall out! These traders KNEW it was going to crash HARD and were bracing for the shockwave. BEGGING for *any* buy-side opening at your firm…, or if you heard of any other openings?

But somehow Ms. Holly Golightly uh.., had a protective force field shielding her? Over *senior* VP's that had been w/ the firm for YEARS? Firstly, a *receptionist* makes $100k in Lower Manhattan. So for Julissa to say "she doesn't want to discuss her exact salary" but then implies it to be between 3 and 400K fails to 'impress' me.

Firms give any [licensed] sales rep. w/ a PULSE the 'title' of "VP" just so it SOUNDS better to prospective clients on the phone! Anyone *not* fired = VP. Big deal….

  13. Marshall_Will on February 28th, 2015 6:14 pm

Yeah, I'm touchy-feely FEEL good all over! Then they throw in the schtick about her being unable to see her poor poor poor dyin' poppa. Guess WHAT, LEGAL Americans are unable to afford airfare to visit sick and dying relatives In.Their.OWN.COUNTRY!!! All.The.TIME. Life happens…

And you're RIGHT. One, (1) intentional "fat finger" trade could bring down a financial firm and set off a strategic chain of cross-defaults! We've already shown the 'mechanisms' in place are WHOLLY inadequate. Well they ARE there and they DID run her finger prints but..? Since she wasn't really a citizen to BEGIN with? Maybe the SEC should run prints in Mexico too? All The Vetting You Don't Need!

I'm not buying ANY of this BS.

"unions are not people" +10 h/t Amy Otto

What a great counter-talking point to the haggard old Leftist saw; "corporations are not 'people' " in-plain-sight deception. Use it often!

Always loved the "consider themselves above/separate [from] the law!" implied inference. As you'd expect, any Google search involving that term or "corporate personhood" will melt your monitor from the overload. Complete w/ Fauxcahantas link prominently displayed. Oddly they neglect to mention the abuse/over reach UNIONS play in trampling the rights of individuals and voters?
