This proposal will be an easy sell with the White House:

France’s foreign minister says the global climate agreement being negotiated this year must be worded in a way so that it doesn’t require approval by U.S. Congress.

Laurent Fabius told a group of African delegates at U.N. climate talks in Bonn on Monday that “we know the politics in the U.S., whether we like it or not, if it comes to the Congress, they will refuse.”

That would exclude an international treaty with legally-binding limits on greenhouse gas emissions — something some countries still insist on but which would have virtually no chance of being ratified by the Republican-controlled Congress.

Fabius will host the climate summit in Paris at the end of the year where the new agreement is supposed to be adopted.

Obama’s reply: “You had me at ‘go around Congress.’”

But hey, climate change is a global and national security threat, because Obama said so:

But not nearly as big a security threat as Obama himself.

What exactly is it with these leftist politicians and the "non-legally binding treaty"? I mean what exactly is the point of the treaty if there are no ramifications for breaking it. Either this French foreign minister is trying to build a legacy or he has invested heavily in Al Gore's carbon credit company.

Of course in this case there is no need for a treaty on something that doesn't exist in the first place. Next thing you know they will be trying to get a treaty regulating how many unicorns and leprechauns each country is allowed to have.

You got that right. The remainder of his pResidency is going to be dangerous to the nation and will only get worse the last few months (Nov – inauguration day) if a Conservative is elected President.

I am always there to support obama because he has always been there to stand for the sake of this country. I think it is good enough to pronounce him the best president.
