The guzzlers of Al Gore’s Kool Aid are touting this “study” that affirms severe weather events are linked to man-made climate change.

Check out “study guideline” #1:

The scientists list the following questions as a guide to their study.

1. Given a particular weather pattern, how were the temperatures, precipitation, and associated impacts influenced by climate change?

2. Given a drought, how was the drying enhanced by climate change and how did that influence the moisture deficits and dryness of the soils, leading to a more intense and long-lasting drought?

3. Given a flood, where did the moisture come from? Was it increased by warmer ocean waters?

4. Given a heat wave, how was that influenced by drought, changes in precipitation, and extra heat from global warming?

5. Given extreme snow, where did the moisture come from? Was it related to oceans that are warmer?

6. Given an extreme storm, how was it influenced by sea temperatures, ocean heat content, unusual moisture transports?

7. Was a storm surge worse because of higher sea levels?

The “study” already achieved the desired outcome before the “study” was even conducted. Notice that #1 asked “how were” the factors influenced by climate change — not if they were or weren’t influenced by it at all.

Here’s the kicker from the “study”:

“The climate is changing: we have a new normal. The environment in which all weather events occur is not what it used to be. All storms, without exception, are different. Even if most of them look just like the ones we used to have, they are not the same.”

Just shut up and give them your money, rubes!

Wow. Quite the little STORM there Doug!

All attributable to AGW I'm sure? Our fave little place on the West Coast, Lake Shastina, CA is drying up. The last time we were there the lake was receding but now it's basically non existent. Recall this is just miles from the town ( Weed, CA ) that got half burned down last fire season.

It's High DESERT. Most of the year it's more or less IDEAL. The recreation brings the people ( this is in the shadow of Mt. Shasta ) but locals take the good with the bad! Common sense isn't what alarmists WANT tho'. Hysteria is what drives the agenda…

Yes, it was some nice global warming. Tomorrow the cleanup continues. Our house was spared, but you never know.

Oh yes, so many of the places the libs are using as examples of places ravaged by "climate change" are simply deserts trying to return to their natural state. Take a rich lib to Vegas and he or she would probably think "nature" made the entire area like the property surrounding the MGM Grand and that humans have turned the rest of the place to sand and tumbleweeds.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading it in my lunch time. Will surely come and visit this blog more often. Thanks for sharing. information. It is good to move as chance bring new things in life, paves the way for advancement. Thanks for the post. It was a very good post indeed.

Oh exactly. In the 90's one of my clients was an hydrologist in the L.A area. From what he explained, when the first missions were built by the Spaniards, SoCal was indistinguishable from what is now Baja California! Rocky, bleak and BARREN.

In essence, we built an oasis and very few of the plants and palm trees that line the blvd's are 'indigenous'. His theory was this [man made] 'oasis' may likely have *attracted* more rain than it normally would have in its natural state.

At least under idyllic CONDITIONS. Small wonder everyone freaks out when our little "June weddings" in life get rained on? Oh… the Normalcy Bias.., it BURNS!

    Hey, just curious and it's never too EARLY to start;

But shouldn't WE get busy writing O'Drama's departing and final speech as Prezuhdunce? We all know it's going to be a doozy so why not get our predictions out there and start cobbling this thing together!

Obviously ( like Festivus ) he'll start with: The Airing of Grievances! Which is what the main body and conclusion will contain as well. I think he will name NAMES. Justabloggers will be put on notice and he'll make snide ref. to the fact His leaving the WH doesn't mean it's 'over' or that he can't still settle scores!

So rather than be blindsided once more, can we go ahead and write it OURSELVES and submit to Josh Earnest for Approval? Wouldn't it be interesting to see whose essay/rant comes CLOSEST? We might even have a cash prize or some carbon credits? Yes We Can!

This "study guideline" seems more akin to a study guide for a test created by the Mann Made Globull Warmists.

If they have their way these would be questions one would have to answer at a hearing to determine if they are a "denier" and in need of re-education.

You don't suppose we could get the Koch brothers to donate to this study do you? It would be so much fun watching the Harry Reid's head explode while he tries to decide if he could support a study that was partially funded by the Kochs.
