The videos showing Planned Parenthood reps talking about selling harvested baby organs were quickly dismissed by Planned Parenthood, NARAL and the rest as heavily edited and misleading.

The New York Times originally reported that the organization that released the videos only put out the full unedited version after Planned Parenthood complained. The Times has corrected that, finally:

Correction: August 6, 2015
An article on July 21 about a video made by abortion opponents, which they said proved that Planned Parenthood sells tissue from aborted fetuses for profit, referred incorrectly to the timing of the release of what was described as the full-length, unedited version of the video showing a Planned Parenthood employee talking about how much clinics charge for specimens. The full video was posted at the same time as the edited version. It is not the case that the full video was not released until “after Planned Parenthood complained of selective, misleading editing.”

The pro-abort Left will keep pushing the “heavily edited video” lie because that’s all they’ve got. This exchange sums it up fairly well:

Planned Parenthood really has no “out” here so watching them twist is a thing of beauty — too bad what they’re defending is so horrific.

It bewilders me why Planned unParenthood is accorded any credibility whatsoever.

It bewilders me that PP thought the "blame the video" playbook would work any better for them than it did for the Obama/Clinton.

Right, b/c the patently offensive YouTube vid ( that had 114 views *prior* to Rice's claims ) held such 'sway' w/ radical jihadists. Who KNEW?

I've been out of the loop, what w/ more gone than REMAIN ( an upcoming audit! ) and about a zillion other thangs BUT, has The Professional Left taken to The Usual Media [Drivel] Outlets holding discussions about how What We're SEEING is NOT What We're 'Seeing'?

That'd be a tad uphill huh. They're not even attempting spin other than weathering the news cycle, hoping for Another Sandy/Sandy Hook to expel this off the assembly line…

The Great B!tchSlap O' Reality 2015. Pop-cult historians will have a FIELD day w/ this one huh?

Won't speak for others but I'm about as immersed in Youth Culture as any [late] 50's White Male has a right. The vibe I'm getting from 20-somethings is, well, in the words of MM, "I'm hopeful".

Across the board they're realizing the [entry] level positions they're fighting tooth & NAIL for are increasingly threatened by a tsunami of HB-1 visa filers, offshored cheap labor and those w/ questionable work credentials! You can't stay a student 'forever' AND… at some point you need to take accountability for your lot in life and the hand you were DEALT.

    Little… LATE but? I'm, hopeful…

The Professional Left's cognitive dissonance/distancing is just amazing isn't it? Even when caught in a bald face lie they continue to spin. Switch to 3rd person narrative mode!

"An article on July 21" How about an 'article' YOU PUBLISHED?

"referred incorrectly" Try.., intentionally DECEPTIVE? Again, on YOUR part.

More than a 'correction', when you've no choice but scrap your position and start OVER, that's generally considered a RETRACTION. Have these @-holes stopped to consider what kind of 'careers' they'll have if a conservative finds their way into the WH? Or do they just toggle over and begin actual reporting again..?

Especially when you have crap like what is going on in Eugene, OR. I heard on the top of the hour news on the radio that Eugene has cut a deal with the DoJ over what the DoJ has deemed discriminatory hiring practices. What is it that they did you ask, well they had the audacity to ask for immigration status on applications to become cops in the city of Eugene. Now they have agreed to pay a huge fine to the shakedown in chiefs DoJ, retrain their staff to not ask immigration status and be monitored by the DoJ. Just imagine, in a few months the people of Eugene may find themselves being pulled over and ticketed by an illegal alien.

Smells like KABUKI to me. That "Eugene, Orygone ( of ALL places? ) would subject themselves to this.., 'settlement' should reek to high heaven for those remotely cognizant. Guess Berkley and Madison were busy string pushing [other] Progressive Agenda line items that week?

Additionally, my quick review of the law would make apparent, it doesn't even APPLY here!? As usual they'll contort just about anything on the books if they feel it meets their END. Lynch picks up where Holder left OFF. Next!

My guess is that the injustice department did their typical shakedown and said something akin of, "you got a nice little city there, it would be a shame if we tied it up in federal court costing you billions over years."

Quick thought (or conspiracy theory perhaps). Isn't this election season becoming eerily like 1992? Think about it, in 1992 you had a billionaire (Perot) run third party against Slick Willy and Bush Senior. Now you have a billionaire (Trump) who is threatening to run third party in with perhaps Hillary and Jeb running (though I am not certain either will make it to the general election).

    Just a thought.

Interesting. Although Ross was an actual billionaire, I think The Donald attains thru lines of credit, leverage etc. Really great observation and a very real possibility.

If he were able to get the GOP label ( tired brand as the beta-max ) to FOLD entirely, I could get onboard. Since that's not HAPPENING..?

Curious aside, the whole EPA "spill" just looks fishy to me? Their stock in trade is shaking down companies, collecting fees, standing BACK and primarily taking people to COURT.

Very seldom are they involved in any form of "hands on" way. That dam had been sufficient for HOW long..? They're not on site a few DAZE and it's instant eco-disaster. As Levin noted, where is the prezuhdunce and his team of lawyers dragging exec's on the carpet like they were for the BP spill? Just sayin'…

  12. Truesoldier__ on August 11th, 2015 10:43 am

And that could be the other thing he is doing. He may be trying to leverage the nomination. Basically saying give it to me or I will torpedo your party in the general with a third party run.

Like you, if he were to win the nomination I would vote for him (probably more enthusiastically than the last two nominations), but I don't see it happening. Then again, if the rest the debates end up like the Fox news debate where it was more of a reality show than any chance for any of the candidates to truly tell you anything about any issue, Trump could end up staying out front.

  13. Truesoldier__ on August 11th, 2015 10:52 am

Being that the spill happened not to far away from where I am (about 3 hours west) I have been keeping up on it as much as possible. What I am guessing is that they used the lowest bidder contractor who probably had no business bidding for the contract in the first place. Though the timing of this does make you wonder. This is peak time for tourism for the city of Durango (a very lovely place to travel btw) and this is hurting them big time. The economic damages are going to be very high.

Like you noted Levin saying, who is going to sue the EPA for their environmental disaster?

Another thing worth noting is that the EPA did not even attempt to begin to clean it up; instead there answer has been to let it flow out of Colorado and into New Mexico and finally out to sea.
