James Comey takes another step in apparent mission to repair reputation with libs

Remember when the Democrats had a love-followed-by-hate relationship with former FBI Director James Comey? He let Clinton off the hook, but then sent a letter to Congress shortly before the election that Team Hillary blamed in part for her loss to Trump (instead of acknowledging she was a terrible candidate who felt entitled to the job the whole time). Anyway, as near as I can figure, Comey’s been trying to repair his relationship with the Left. Here’s his latest crack at it, with a comment slamming the Nunes FISA memo:

Maybe I’m just overly cynical, but Comey knows that now he’s out in the private sector, will have a book to hawk and be needing many MSM outlets in order to do so (or maybe even offer him a job as an analyst), he’s got some serious rifts to heal with the libs that run those industries.

Also, in that tweet, Comey came across as a little… surprised, for lack of a better word.

He’ll never tell.
