Just for a quick recap, the confessed mass murderer Nikolas Cruz was, while in high school before being expelled from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, enrolled in the U.S. Army’s Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC). After school the participants would target shoot with air rifles and complete in local competitions. The National Rifle Association gave the school’s JROTC a “non-cash grant” of over $10,000 for their program (as they did with many other schools around the country). One of the victims of Cruz’s rampage was a member of the JROTC, who was killed while trying to help others. At least two more members of the ROTC are being praised for their heroic actions during the shooting. Authorities have admitted they dropped the ball on all the red flags that were displayed by this maniac by not following up on tips to his behavior.
With all that in mind, here’s the New York Daily News’ takeaway:

What’s most amazing is when media reps actually react with disbelief and surprise after being accused of journalistic malpractice.
How soon before Progressives start calling the NRA a terrorist organization?
Keith Olbermann already has that one covered: http://thehill.com/blogs/ballot-box/353583-olbermann-lets-call-the-nra-what-it-is-a-terrorist-organization
I should have known.
