Russian to judgment: Nancy Pelosi slams Trump for firing secretary of state she once said he shouldn’t have hired

For the Democrats, Russia/Trump collusion is like their climate change alarmism: No matter what happens, it WILL serve as proof of their accusation. Case-in-point, the firing of Secretary of State Rex Tillerson.

Here’s Nancy Pelosi when Trump hired Tillerson back in December of 2016:

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi slammed President-elect Donald Trump’s selection for secretary of State, Rex Tillerson, Tuesday, saying his ties to Russia make him an unsuitable choice.

Tillerson, the chief executive of Exxon Mobil, has had a long-running working relationship with the country — raising bipartisan concerns from a number of lawmakers. While Tillerson has recieved the support of former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and former Secretary of Defense Bob Gates, the endorsements have failed to ease the skepticism of not just Democrats like Pelosi, but also Republicans including Senate Armed Services Committee Chairman John McCain and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio.

“Choosing an oil executive friendly with Vladimir Putin as Secretary of State sends a disturbing signal about President-elect Trump’s priorities,” Pelosi said in a statement. “Rex Tillerson’s cozy relationship with the Kremlin is especially alarming in light of his attitude toward sanctions over Russia’s aggressive behavior in Europe, while at the same time the President-elect continues to side with Russia over the judgment of the U.S. intelligence community.”

Fast-forward to today. Here’s Pelosi’s statement about Trump’s firing of Tillerson:

“Secretary Tillerson’s firing sets a profoundly disturbing precedent in which standing up for our allies against Russian aggression is grounds for a humiliating dismissal. President Trump’s actions show that every official in his Administration is at the mercy of his personal whims and his worship of Putin.

“It is no wonder that the President has trouble attracting high-caliber people to his Administration when he undercuts and humiliates those he supposedly respects.

The Dems are pushing Tillerson’s hiring and firing as both being evidence of Russia/Trump collusion. What color is the sky in Nancy’s world?

Of course, this could have something to do with Tillerson’s developing popularity among Dems:

Doug, you seem to have forgotten that any statement made by a Democratic politician comes with an expiration date.
