California Dems who say it’s too hard for citizens to get an ID to vote celebrate one million illegals obtaining driver’s licenses

California progressive “priorities” never cease to amaze. I wonder if there was some sort of award for the one-millionth illegal alien to receive a driver’s license in the state:

More than one million undocumented immigrants have obtained driver’s licenses under a historic state law known as AB 60, marking a significant milestone for advocates who say it’s improved road safety across California and has allowed immigrants to get behind the wheel — to get to work and grocery store — without fear.

The DMV has issued 1,001,000 driver’s licenses since the law’s inception in January 2015, according to the state’s most recent data.

“It’s been a true success story for our immigrant families, for our roads and our economy,” said Monterey County Supervisor Luis Alejo, who authored the bill as a state assemblyman in 2013. “It certainly has resulted in immigrants having a better life by no longer being in fear that they’re going to get their cars impounded or being put in deportation proceedings for something as simple as not having their license.”

But try saying that photo ID should be required for citizens to vote and the progressives shit themselves about such laws being racist and too unfair because it’s difficult for some people to obtain an ID.

  1. More than that, they automatically register them to vote at the same time – and then claim that they don’t actually avail themselves of the opportunity.
