This shows how desperate the Democrats are on the issue of border detentions. They do NOT want their fingerprints on any “fix” to the current law, so it’s come to this:

In other words, Schumer wants to make sure that no matter what happens the Dems will be able to blame a Trump EO.
And that’s pretty much what Trump’s going to do:
President Trump, speaking with members of Congress at the White House, addressed the border crisis, saying he would sign an executive order soon that keeps immigrant families together.
By the way, the Dems’ 100 percent pivot to focusing on border issues sums up nicely how well their anti-NRA campaign was going over with voters.
Also, if Trump issues a border EO to stop family separation it’s not going to stop libs from calling him Hitler. If anything it’ll embolden them. Case in point: The ACLU simply moving the goal posts:
