Thursday night, the New York Times reported that $50,000 was spent on curtains for Nikki Haley’s office at the U.N. and they were put in last year. The Left, naturally, went nuts, which fortunately isn’t much of a stretch for them. But what the Times didn’t point out until well into their story obviously designed to slam Haley, was that the remodeling decision was made and approved in 2016, during the Obama administration. After many hours of hearing about it, the paper made a correction:

New: The New York Times has updated its story on @nikkihaley: "An earlier version of this article and headline created an unfair impression about who was responsible for the purchase in question." pic.twitter.com/GQg7Bj0qfv

But by then it didn’t matter. The BS story had started at the New York Times:
The State Department spent $52,701 last year buying customized and mechanized curtains for Nikki Haley’s official residence, just as the department was undergoing deep budget cuts and had frozen hiring https://t.co/JG1jXlG6js

State Dept., suffering from budget cuts, paid $52,000 for curtains in Nikki Haley’s Manhattan apartment. Scoop by @GardinerHarris. https://t.co/JOnhgPajxJ The rent is $58,000 per month. Taxpayer funded.

And made its way around the media world in record time:
Nikki Haley spent $52,700 in State Department money on “customized and mechanized” curtains for her luxury apartment https://t.co/1H4896gv41

Pathetic. When the money was allocated, Samantha Power was the U.S. ambassador to the U.N. The Times added Haley for some added Resistance hate clickbait, and got their hand stuck in the “fake news” honey pot.
But remember, NBC News’ Chuck Todd says the reason people distrust the media is because of Fox News. Mainstream media “journalists” are among the least self-aware people on the planet.
