What, Me Pessimistic?

Here’s what Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki told the Wall Street Journal:

“I didn’t want to take this position. I only agreed because I thought it would serve the national interest, and I will not accept it again,” he said. “I wish it could be done with even before the end of this term.”

Not exactly Winston Churchill, is he? It’s that kind of spirit that is going to help straighten out the mess in Iraq.

I’m sure all the soldiers there fighting aren’t too thrilled with the job either, pal, but suck it up and help them out so they can get home.
