Occidental’s CEO Isn’t The Only One Profiting

Hey, if this sort of thing keeps up, people are going to be angry at paying so much for gas:

CHICAGO (Reuters) – Occidental Petroleum Corp.’s chairman and chief executive took in more than $400 million in compensation last year, the company said in a filing, one of the biggest single-year payouts in U.S. corporate history.

The first to jump on this and bash Occidental will be Congressional Democrats. There are a couple of things to remember when that happens:

1. Who’s one of Nancy Pelosi’s corporate campaign contributors?

2. Who’s a major investor in Occidental? (hint: he thinks fossil fuels are destroying the planet and he’s becoming so large himself that his suit has developed an ecosystem of its own)
